Rabbi Cardozo is a genius making complex; understandable
I was perplexed by Mose Rabeinu's placement into the eightth row of Rabbi Akiba's Classroom until I read Rabbi Cardozo's Explanation. With similar genius he turned the very complex to a basic idea of understanding. Thank you

Is It Worth The Trouble?
This book is truly inspiring for both young and older readers. It provides a close look into the lives (and struggles) of black inventors. Many of whom we know very little about. This book includes details of their feelings and struggles as the America was changing.

If the reader has struggled to "fit in" in any way, they will be drawn to the compelling stories of these obscure black inventors. Today, black contributors such as G. Morgan, Jan Metzelinger, Madame C.J.Walker and more have significantly enhanced our lives!

Today, we enjoy the ability to choose from a variety of shoes, which have been mass-produced. Numerous lives have been saved because of developments in blood extractions and fire fighting equipment. Road rage has emerged but other chaos has been removed from driving as the result of one inventor's contribution. Read and find out how. People everywhere still reap the rewards of African-American ingenuity.

Scientist who persevered during trying times have impacted the world. In this book, you will see the enormous benefits provided to humanity from several obscure faces. Here their stories are unfolded.

It inspires one to continue battling the ups and downs encountered in life. It connects the past with the present. As reflected in the readings, it is worth the trouble to pursue your dreams. Even in the midst of adversity. This book is a must to read for children and adults alike!

An ordinary life in extraordinary circumstances
Blood On The Wind: The Memoirs Of Flying Horse Mollie, A Yampa Ute, is an eye-witness account of the events of 1880 when U.S. Army troops expelled the Yampa Utes from Colorado and compelled them to reside on a Utah reservation. Flying Horse Millie was a teenager at the time and tried to come to terms with the overwhelming forces that seemed designed to drive her people's traditional way of life into extinction. Now in her nineties and with a dozen books and several awards to her credit, author Lucile Bogue's account of Flying Horse Millie, her fears for the future, her disappointments in the adults who failed to protect her, her sadness in the face of loss, and her eventual personal maturity and assumed responsibility for the well-being of her tribe's next generation is an invaluable contribution to Native American studies and a compelling read for anyone who enjoys a riveting memoir of an ordinary life in extraordinary circumstances.

Seven enterprising individuals and the companies
In Business Builders In Toys And Games, children's author Nathan Aaseng provides young readers ages 10 and older an amazing spotlight on the evolution of seven enterprising individuals and the companies they founded to create famous toys and games, ranging from Hiroshi Yamauchi and Nintendo's incalculable contribution to video games; to Gary Gygax and the history of role-playing "games without winners"; to Joshua Lionel Cowen and his famous line of toy trains; to Kirk Christiansen and the history of Lego blocks. Black-and-white photographs illustrate this involving "toys and game maker" biographical anthology. Also very highly recommended are the other volumes comprising this unique entrepreneur biography series: Business Builders In Computers; Business Builders In Cosmetics; Business Business Builders In Real Estate, Builders In Fashion; Business Builders In Fast Food; and Business Builders In Oil.

Sad that this is the absolute end of this series
This series by Nathan Aldyne (who I just recently found out was not a real person but a nom de plume for two writers collaborating) was what got me hooked on the genre of gay mysteries. I loved the characters, the settings, the plots, the humour, everything!

I actually read them when they first came out (!) in the early-to-mid 80's. I think I was able to read Vermilion and Cobalt back-to-back in 1983 (since they were published in '80 and '82, respectively) and eagerly awaited the next installment, which turned out to be Slate in '84 (followed by Canary in '86). I was very disappointed when nothing new came out in '88 or anytime after. It's one of the strengths of the Internet that I can now know why this series ended then (one of the collaborators died).

Anyway, I'd give all of the books in this series 5 stars since I re-read them all regularly and still laugh. I'm glad that they have been reissued since my little paperbacks are getting quite yellowed and brittle and I can now replace them.

If you enjoy good mysteries filled with humour and a gay twist, you'll enjoy any of these books. As with many series, it's more enjoyable to read them in order.

This the best book yet for down to earth answers.
Up to this point, no one has anwsered the questions that this book has. It's the greatest. Better than the doctors by far. Easy to read and gives confidence to the caregiver. I'm am so grateful someone has finally put into words all of the side effects of this disease.

Matchmaking and heartthrobs -- Very highly recommended
Leigh Barrett is tired of her meddlesome brothers' attempts to dictate her life. So she plays matchmaker with one goal in mind: to find lady loves that will keep her brothers' attention fully occupied so that they have no time to interfere in her life. She will stop at nothing if the end result is in her favor.

CATCHING CHASE: The women of the small town of Paxton, Texas relentlessly pursue the gorgeous Barrett brothers. The eldest brother, Chase, does not even realize what a heartbreaker he is. But Megan Kendall has known that she loves Chase since she was eight years old. Nineteen years later, she will take drastic action in a quest for what she wants, even if Chase doesn't believe in true love.

NABBING NATHAN: Leigh has the answers to her friend Hailey Montgomery's summer dilemma. Her brother has a job and an apartment for Hailey; he just does not know it yet. But when summer ends, Nathan will still own the software company that keeps the small town's economy thriving and him bound to Paxton, while Hailey will still have a commitment to complete her Ph.D. somewhere else. Love and career goals clash when this couple yields to Leigh's matchmaking.

Liz Jarrett's zany voice lends sparkle to the Harlequin Duet series Hometown Heartthrobs. One of the greatest challenges in writing for the Duet line is meeting the demand for humor and romance while still creating a story and characterizations with depth. Jarrett rises to the challenge with well-laid out conflict, pacing that enhances the narrative flow and engaging wit. Further, Jarrett deftly demonstrates her gift for creating strong characters that feel overwhelmed by their attraction yet hesitate to commit to a long-term relationship. CATCHING CHASE and NABBING NATHAN combine in a dynamic and amusing read, proving that Jarrett's witty style can't help but win reader's hearts. Very highly recommended.

High Quality Reproductions of this powerful artist's work
This Coffee-Table sized edition by Thames and Hudson features one of the important artists dicovered by Dubuffet in his search for authentic outsider artists also known as 'art brut' or 'neuve invention' artists. The book is mainly dedicated to displaying the artworks: gouaches, drawings, oil paintings as well as less traditional objects such as Chaissac's famous totems and even a painted cupboard. The reproductions are large, vivid in color and you can feel the texture and see the nuances. The text offers a concise biography of 40 pages touching upon milestones in his life and referring to recurring themes and different art media. All in all: A highly recommended book for art lovers.
