Welcoming the Unwelcome
This book is a collection of stories, insight and practical advice from working with twelve children during the thirty-year teaching career of Donna Bryant Goertz. Donna is a skillful, observant practitioner who provides us with a glimpse of her classroom that characterizes what she considers the absence of "obnoxious", "different", "problem", or "difficult" children. She provides us with the perspective that it is possible to welcome and include every child into a classroom and treat them with respect, dignity and love. The book replaces old habits and paradigms with better tools that build community rather than compliance. It is a MUST read.

As A Mom...
As the mother of a child who's been in the same Montessori school since she was not quite two, my first response to Donna's book was "Move to Austin! Enroll Katie in this school now!!!" My second, more reasoned response was, "Ask all the teachers at her school to read this book. Now!!!"
My child is growing up in a diverse, multi-cultural world that begs for adults who are skillful at teaching children to negotiate its conflicts and differences. And who are willing to stand by the belief that every child deserves to be included in community- EVERY one.

Review of book
I read this book form the perspective of a therapist who works with children and as the mother of a child in a Montessori school. I think that it is an excellent resource for teachers, parents and any person who works with and loves children. Ms Goertz writes with a concise yet lyrical style and her love and respect for children is evident.

Wonderfully surprising!
Come back, by freshman author Donna Shook, is a suspenseful read, even if it isn't described that way. Matthew Russel is drawn into a situation where he makes a decision, then finds out that things weren't wuite the way that they seemed.

I felt that this was a wonderful work, and look to see more from her in the future!

WHOOOO!
I am in awe over this book. It was so cool!!!! The author wrote as a male character. She's GOOD!! The story was well planned out from the beginning with the way she had everything come together at the end! This story has a mysterious side to it the way she writes.I could see in my mind everything she was writing. The town of Salem, the way they lived, the dark side of the town councel.I laughed so may times through this book-Iloved the authors sense of humor!! The wedding night was the best! Jack the blacksmith was a great character and friend to Matt. I think what tore at me the most was the way the author reflected back on the characters. Each one had their own personality, It was GREAT! Is there a sequel to this book?? I HOPE SO!! AND SOON!!!

GREAT BOOK
I couldn't put this book down. This would make a great MOVIE with the settings and characters.MS.Shook is a wonderful Author.I have read many time travel novels,But this is the best so far.I am looking forward to reading more of MS.shook's novels in the future.I hope a producer reads this book and turns this into a movie he would definately have a hit on his hands.

Crazy Jack
Published in Library Binding by Turtleback Books Distributed by Demco Media (2001)
Author: Donna Jo Napoli
Amazon base price: $11.75
Average review score:

Never a better novel¿
Napoli brings an old tale back from the grave. With a captiving story, full of anything a reader could want, she tells a tale with great power and force, that will rapture any reader forever.

Back with Jack
Napoli's retelling of old fairy tale, Jack and the Beanstalk, brought back magical memories from when I was a child. Jack is living a fairy tale dream, when disaster strikes what he and his family have worked for. Drought dries up the crops, father disappears amongst the clouds and finally, Flora, the girl of his dreams, thinks he has gone crazy. Crazy is just what Jack becomes! He must be, however, what sane person would trade a cow for a few colorful beans? When Jack returns, he finds anger in his mother and Flora, until he plants the beans, which turn into a stalk high in the sky. Amazingly, Jack finds more than riches to bring home on his journey above the clouds. Riches he and his family are sure to enjoy for life. This book was an excellent retelling of the ever-so-popular story of Jack and the Beanstalk. What I enjoyed so much about the book was how the characters were brought to life and how the language spoke to the adult side, whereas, the other version touches on the child. I blasted back into the past and enjoyed the tale all over again!!

typical Napoli
This was a perfect example of the surely mesmerizing Napoli tales. Obviously adapted not from Disney, but from Grimms brothers' twisted tales of the fine line between love and insanity, Napoli never fails to leave the reader stunned. This, like always, was a five star read. Don't be fooled by the lack of pages, this is an obvious case of quality over quanity.

Growing Up Is Hard to Do
Remember those days of who-likes-whom? who-wants-to-date-whom? How do you stand up for what you belive in without losing your friends? If you are past those days, this book will take you back. If you haven't been there yet, this book will get you ready. Filled with authentic middle school characters, feelings, and dialogue, Frankie Murphy's Kiss List will make you wish that you had friends like Travis, Annie, Marcus and Penelope. Once I started it, I couldn't put it down.

How the bet begain
It all started with a normal day. When this boy Franky Murphy came to town. He kept on talking about that where he lived was better than Harpersville. So one day this boy Travis decided to made a bet. Then Travis bet on that Franky had to kiss all the girls in the class. So they made a list with all the girls names. Then the fun started to begin.Well, you will just have to read this book for yourself to find out what happens. This book was a funny book to read and anyone could read it.

Frankiy Murphy Is The Worlds Worst Kisser
One day in school Frankiy is so caught up in his bragging that Travis is fed up with it. He comes up with a plan, while Frankiy is saying I bet I've kissed over 200 girls back in Phily. So Travis says I bet that you can not kiss all the girls in our class by the end of the year. At the End Franky Kiss's all but Annie, Travis bestfriend. He know that Annie would not kiss Frankiy or let Frankiy kiss her. At the end of the year party. Penilope Finchester makes the buttons, the one for the boys says I'VE BEEN A SIXTH GRADE JERK and the girls says FRANKIY MURPHY IS THE WORLDS WORST KISSER. Frankiy said he want not put one on, but the other boys do. I think that Travis was cool, Frankiy was a JERK, Annie is cool, Molly is goot a obssetion on pink and yellow. Allsion is Molly's copycat. Pinilope is different. That is my review. This is a good book to read I liked it a lot.

Fundamentals of the Futures Market

Author: Donna Kline

Average review score:

GREAT BOOK
If you are new to trading, or are interested in learning about the futures markets, then you will not be disappointed with this book. I was definitely impressed with the amount of market information that it covered. The History of the Futures markets, fundamental & technical analysis, mechanics of the trading floor, margins, interpretation of news, are all explained. In addition, it contains a great section on trading techniques for each specific commodity market. This would make a great reference textbook for seasoned traders and brokers as well. I would definitely recommend this book.

Exceptional Futures Market Primer
Utilizing her years of experience as a floor broker and expert futures market commentator (Bloomberg TV), Donna Kline successfully addresses a broad array of futures related topics in a pragmatic and succinct manner that is easy to absorb. Whether you are an experienced trader, or more importantly, a neophyte to the futures market, Donna Kline's "Fundamentals of the Futures Market" is an ideal primer.

"Fundamentals of the Futures Market" is an excellent addition to any intelligent investor's library collection and further validates Donna Kline's status as a maven within a market known for nebulous and sometimes treacherous trading conditions.

The Fundamental "Fudamentals"
Anyone who watches Donna Kline on Bloomberg Television knows she's the authority on futures and credit markets, a knowledge she shares in Fundamentals of the Futures Market. Written for those with some experience in financial markets, Fundamentals of the Futures Market takes the reader step-by-step through the process of evaluating, buying, and selling futures. The book traces the history of financial markets and the development of futures trading, defines the key terms, and outlines the external factors -- from the economy to the weather -- that affect futures prices. Drawing on her years of experience in and around the trading pits, Kline also offers tips for traders and dealers. It's full of practical advice, leavened with humor and clear cautions about the dangers inherent in trading. Buyers, brokers, and those who follow the futures markets should keep this handy reference nearby.

Kids seem to really dig this
We got copies for all of our friends because kids really seem to like it--the coloring part is really, really well done, and they like having the history stuff read to them (unless they're old enough to read it, themselves).

Highly recommended.

A perfect and fun way to learn about Rhode Island
Even though I have lived in New England for years, I learned a great deal about Rhode Island from RIAtoZ. The illustrations are charming, and the text makes this much more than a typical kids book. It's written from the perspective of someone who knows and truly loves Little Rhody. There should be a book like this for every state in the Union!!

Great book!
We had Adam come to perform his Acme Miniature Circus at our Theatre in Brookline MA. He brought some books to sell, and I wanted to comment on how great the books are. Our patrons really loved them. We get a lot of kids and parents as patrons, and they all thought the book was fabulous. We are not even in Rhode Island! The book is entertaining, informative, and well worth getting.

Excellant; if you like the suspense, you will love this book. Read Donna Anders, it's a pleasure reading.

A Must Read!!
Fantastic - scary - chilling - hard to put down - suspenseful - gripping ....... This is a great book. Just make sure you read it with the curtains closed - doors locked and all the lights on. Oh, and someone else with you.

As always Donna Anders delivers a suspense filled book
what would you do if your daughter was being stalked and it was harmining your whole family and your relationship with your husband Britt is pretty well an ordinary woman caught up in unordinary circumstances! I thought this book was really great.
But the again I haven't read a book by this author I have ever been disappointed in! unfortunately she doesn't have much out!
But when she does I'll be eager to read her new novel!

Donna Sterling comes through as always!
The Daddy Decision was terrific, Donna Sterling at her very best. The plot was original and the characters were wonderful-both major and secondary.

Ms. Sterling is definitely one of today's most gifted romance writers. I can't wait until her next book comes out!

Sweet and sexy!
Well, this one has it all...a reunion theme, unrequited love, a reformed bad boy hero, and a heroine who wants a baby, but not a husband. Both a little gun shy about relationships after their torrid affair ended 15 years prior, Laura and Cort meet again and old passions are rekindled. A fun, sexy read!

Very, Very Hot!!!
The overpowering emotional intensity this story evokes is nothing short of magical. Donna clearly is a gifted novelist who is getting sharper with each release. I have found great enjoyment in reading this and all of her previous books. Keep them coming!

not too bad...
The ComStar field manual is a useful roleplaying resource, with the unit histories similar to those found in all of the field manuals. I find that it is somewhat less useful than the others, if only because it tries to do too much. The book wastes space explaining 4 different organizational systems (Com Star, Star League, Rasalhague, and Clan). The other manuals had more focus, whereas this apears to be an attempt to throw in every reamining non-great house faction. Can't really blame FASA for that though, as Rasalhague and the SLDF had to get something, and surely dont deserve their own manuals (yet).. overall a sold product, and worth getting eventually, although i recommend picking up some of the others first if you dont really need the ComStar info for a campaign.

Excellent book. Every Btech fan should have this.
I have enjoyed all of the Field Manuals to date. This one tells us more about the new Star League army and the Rasalhague military than anywhere else. Best Comstar resource since the old Comstar manual.

A must have for Battletech RPG fans.
This field manual on Comstar is better than the older one that I do not have and I can not find. If you want to have an idea on what Comstar is doing, then, this is the field manual to have. It does try to do too much but it is very clear on what is about. Comstar is now part of the starleague.

A good summer book to read
About the book A Face First by Priscilla Cummings.
This book is about a twelve-year-old girl named Kelly. She was in a car accident with her mother. She was burned especially her face, and broke her leg. She went to the hospital and she was in surgery, while she was in surgery she was trying to remember what happened to her. She could remember some parts but the rest was unclear. When she woke up after three days she was very weak. She had to do exercises to get her body moving again. She has to wear a mask because her face is burnt. Who understands her?
This book is good because it makes it realize how Kelly felt and had to face many challenges that normal people wouldn?t.

A real heartwarmer!
This book is about a young girl named Kelley. After a terrible accident Kelley has to go through painful treatments. She also has to wear a mask to help her face. She worries what everyone will think of her but realizes they like Kelley for the person on the inside. This book was good and sort of sad at first. But towards the end when Kelley truly discovers herself, it makes you feel really good.

Its Awesome!
I'm reading this book in class, it is really good. It's very well written, and discriptive. Our teachers loved this book actually so much that Priscilla Cummings is coming to our school! It's also a real story.
