Rejuvinating the soul
I purchased this book at a local book store in the West End Mall in Atlanta Georgia. I literally travelled with this book for weeks reading a page here and a page there until I was assigned a book report for one of my MBA classes. I found this book to be more than interesting. Its one of those books you dont lend out and always keep around on your shelf. I thoroughly enjoy reading about successful black women their accomplishments and contributions to society and their advancement in the corporate world. I am one of those professional women who have a burning desire to succeed and advance in my career and after reading the interviews and experiences of some of our very own I was deeply inspired. This book has helped me regain my self confidence and motivation. Its a book I highly recommend to all of my friends to read. I thank the author for inspiring me to continue my journey for success.

Pages upon pages of inspiration!
After reading Donna Ballard's book, I felt compelled to write her. I thanked her for producing such a fine body of work and for profiling 24 young black women who are suceeding in male dominated corporate America. Anybody who needs a touch of inspiration should read Donna's book; it certainly encouraged me to focus on my goals and aspirations. After receiving my letter, Donna called to thank me for taking the time to tell her how much I appreciated her efforts. Not only is she a fantastic author, she is also a wonderful person.

The best cross stitch book for small items I've seen
This book is wonderful. The color choices are beautiful and soothing and the small items make the projects enticing to start. I bought the book and immediately made 3 things (bookmark, stitch-a-clip, and keyring). Usually I plan to make items and it takes a while to find the time to start or finish. This is a great book for any crafter!

Wonderful, wonderful cross stritches
Donna Kooler is the most wonderful of all for cross stitch projects. I just love this new book, I can't wait to do some of these projects that is this book. I think Donna is the best of all of the other I tried. Each projects are easy to read and fun to do.

Great flower and animal designs!
I really like this book-- the charts are easy to read, the color combinations work well, and the subjects are charming. I especially like the chicken and the rabbit, but all of the designs are on my to do list.

donna kooler's glorious needlepoint
I have been an avid needlepointer for 20 years. I enjoyed this book because of the variety of designs and ease of the diagrams. There is alot packed into this paperback book. I find myself carrying it around with my needlepoint basket because its light and easy to use.

Dream Messages: How to Make the Connection Between Heaven & Earth. A Unique Kind of Dream Book

Getting Answers!
I have been a student of dreams for many years, but Dream Messages really inspired me to get more out of my dreams. While the writing got a bit awkward at times--with each author speaking in the 3rd person, the examples they shared shed new light on this ancient art of understanding dreams. Since incorporating some of their suggestions, I have gone back to my dream journal to decipher some dreams that seems too obscure before. One gem that is particularly helpful is to ask for a specific dream--so simple! Working with this technique reminds me that heaven and earth really ARE connected, and that I can consciously cooperate with the guidance I am being given. Well done, ladies!
Lorraine Seeley Buell--Author of Shipmates

Awesome, Wonderful, Enlightening, Helpful, and Great Reading
This is the first dream book I have read that I could actually understand! Plus, it is helpful with all the exercises. I love the real life stories and couldn't put the book down once I decided to read it! I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in improving their lives and in their dreams!

Memory Lane
Having grown up in the "Plat" mentioned in the book, I enjoyed the walk down memory lane. Bill Sullivan's style of writing held my attention from the moment I started reading till I finished and then I was looking for more. Although the people and events are real, a lot of people growing up in the sixties will see themselves as one of the characters and will enjoy reliving their teen years.

Eleven Miles South of Half Moon bay
A must read for everyone. If you what to know what life was in the 1950's and 1960's. you must read this one. I couldn't put the book down. I wanted to know what was going ot happen next. This book is an American Adventure, and it proved that not everyone was a hippy back then. Mr. Sullivans use of the english language was perfect. Take your mind on a trip with Bill

Finally!
A well documented history of today's Black family. Read this book to understand how our family structure has manage to weaken over the last 150 years. This book left me with the understanding that our individaul accomplishments consisting of corporate promotions, new home purchases, and higher incomes don't mean much when our family structure continues to weaken our community towards non-existence.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful book!
I don't know Donna Franklin and don't have anything to gain through my comments. This book is one of the best I've read in a LONG time in analyzing the reasons for some of the changes in the black family and suggesting a number of very lucid, rational, and intelligent recommendations. Absolutely terrific, terrific book! Very scholarly, well-researched, and thoughtful but written in non-jargon and extremely accessible to the average reader. Should be required reading in most college courses as well as for our politicians.

The Eso Ecstasy Program: Better, Safer Sexual Intimacy and Extended Orgasmic Response

approaches essential
We found this book because Richard Rhodes raves about it in his "Erotic Journey" autobiography. The book helps enhance lovemaking... and love. First part consists of facts... anatomy, general technique. Then, the second part consists of exercises, starting with simple communication and kissing and moving to techniques for helping each other reliably achieve 30-minute climaxes. It's nearly unnecessary to say that the exercises are fun. But the book is more than fun - it approaches being essential.

The best handbook for people interested in intimacy
I read a lot of books about how to do good sex and how to be intimate. This book continues to be the most accessible to a broad group of people interested in the journey of intimacy.

A tested and thought through program of 13 weeks that will bring partners together in a profound way, without esoteric ritual. I give this book as a wedding present in addition to anything else I might want to send a new couple on their journey with

Exposure Anxiety - The Invisible Cage: An Exploration of Self-Protection Response in the Autism Spectrum

Enlightening
Few other books in my autism library are as marked up with exclamations points and my daughter's name as this one. Finally, finally, I not only have tremendous understanding of many of my daughter's behaviours, but tools to help her as well. It baffles me that exposure anxiety is hardly, if at all, mentioned in the general autism literature; clearly, it is one of the major challenges that are at the core of my daughter's autism. Though not all people with autism suffer from EA, this book is a must read for all professionals in the autism field, and any parents who suspect that this issue applies to their child.

A must-read for anyone that has or knows someone with EA!
I am high-functioning autistic and after learning quite a bit from Williams' earlier books, I bought "Invisible Cage" in hopes of continuing my self-education. Simply put, this book is amazing, one of those rare pieces where every page brings on a new revelation and sense that someone else "finally" understands.

"Invisible Cage" is not like her autobiographies: it is written like a manual for people dealing with EA, either in themselves or in a friend/relative/partner. It is organized into tiny sub-chapters with appropriate headings, with an index in the back for quickly finding information on a particular subject. For each, she describes what the external behaviors are like, the internal emotions/logic causing it, and how to help the EA person feel safe so they don't have to resort to that behavior.

Even if you have EA and have studied it in yourself for years, as I have, this book is invaluable. Williams has researched it not only in herself, but in many other autistics. I was surprised to find many behaviors that I was doing without realizing it, and *very* happy to finally have reasons for some things I could never explain. As EA is rare even in adults with autism, I've felt like a lone freak for a long time, so it was wonderful to finally realize that my brain really is being logical and I'm not just mentally ill or a psycho monster or something.

If you have EA, I highly recomend not only buying yourself a copy of "Cage", but giving one to someone in your life that you think you might be able to trust enough to work with. That way they can see your behavior for what it is and hopefully help you gain that trusting bond that is so hard for us to manage.

From Apple to Zipper
I am an owner of a signed copy of this book. It is a treasure. I am disappointed that it is no longer published. A friend just had a baby and I hoped to give this book and poster as a gift.

From Apple to Zipper
Great book! My son loves this book and so do I! You will find a picture for each letter, but not just the typical "A is for Apple, B is for Box . . ." In this book the apple is in the shape of an "A", the crayon like a "C". I especially liked "Q" and "R". For a visual learner struggling to link letters with their sounds, this may just be the ticket!
