Open up your EYES
As an expert in the marketing field, I find this book refreshing. Ms. Klein's research is self-evident and easy to digest while putting many things into perspective. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. In fact, working in the marketing industry, I hesitate to recommend it to my peers because of it's inherent power and insight. I can't believe there are no other reviews... BUY THIS BOOK!

Ignore the editorial reviews -- They're for different books!
If you look closely at the editorial reviews assembled by Amazon, you'll see that they are actually for other books about the Nutcracker. As best I can tell, the authors and illustrators of these books are named Schulman, Graef, Merentseva, Mennekaev, Freeman, Innocenti, and probably a couple of others I missed!

The book in this listing is actually written by Carin Dewhirst and illustrated by Naomi Howland. It tells the story of the Nutcracker and has a companion CD of the music. It's a fine story, beautifully illustrated.

Amazon, please clean up the mess with the editorial reviews. It's quite confusing and unfair to those who wrote, illustrate, and published this lovely book.

Immensely Helpful
After using Naomi Drew's first book Learning the Skills of Peacemaking, I decided to try this one. I loved it! The Peaceful Classroom in Action helped me integrate writing and language arts with peacemaking. My students really enjoy the activities, they're getting along better, plus their writing skills have improved. I highly recommend this book. Not only is it helpful, it's laid out in a way that makes all the content extremely accessible. I wish there were more books out there like this one.

I LOVE POKY--he looks exactly like my beagle, Fielder
My beloved angel dog Fielder is a clone of Poky! And maybe because of this (and many other reasons too), I adore the Poky Little Puppy books. I'm not a kid anymore (I'm twentyish), but my mom used to read me these books as a kid and they were my FAVORITES. I still buy them and read them to cheer myself up. I volunteer at an animal shelter whenever I can and it makes me miserable to see how many beautiful dogs and puppies don't have loving homes. If the next generation of kids all read these books, maybe they (like me) will be instilled with the love and respect of God's finest creation (in my opinion), the dog...and all other animals too. And then there will be less strays.

A well-done storybook for any "Winnie the Pooh" fan!
On Halloween night, Piglet and Winnie the Pooh are busy carving jack-o'-lanterns when Piglet announces that he isn't going trick-or-treating this year. This is because he's afraid a "heffalump" might be hiding under a costume when they go trick-or-treating. So, Pooh decides to help Piglet overcome his fears. They both go trick-or-treating dressed as a totem poll so that they can be "together". On the way they encounter tricks and treats that will excite children of the very young.

"Pooh: Trick or Treat!" is definetly worth adding to your "Winnie the Pooh" collection. Though it is another "Disney" book, amoung thousands of other ones, it is still faithful to the original "Winnie the Pooh" books by legendary author, A.A. Milne. It has beautiful illustrations by "Disney" illustrators, and the story is nicely put together by author, Anne Braybrooks. Not to mention the book is full of the "Halloween spirit."

It's too bad this book was published without much notice back on August 1, 1997. It's also too bad that bookstores don't really carry this book anymore - you have to special order it from them most of the time. It is still available to purchase though - which is really great. Just the same, it may not stay "in-print" for very much longer (like most "Disney" books that have been available up to 4 years). So buy it today from Amazon.com or your local bookstore - you won't regret it.

RX for Me
I rated this book very high in regards to it's spirit of adventure. I found the book at a grocery store in Seward, Alaska while on a road trip with my wife. I have given the book to several people now, who also enjoyed it terrificaly and I have now lost track of it. I was so happy to find it here again at Amazon. Enough of me, now what about the book. Breifly, it is about a doctor who likes to fly and decides to take-on a job in the 1950's in the Anchorage area of Alaska. He decides to stay for the people and the opportunity for adventure- flying, trophy hunting and aid to the natives. The different flying adventures are so unique and spellbinding that it's hard to put this book down.

I'm the little boy in the yellow Dr. Denton P.J.'s father
The book - "The Psychic Realm:What Can You Believe", chapter - "Proofs of Survival After Death", p. 229 & 230, I am the father of the little boy in the yellow Dr. Denton pajamas that Melissa Siebert saw. 10 days after he died, he appeared to me along with my father who had been dead for 14 yrs. at the time. That was the only time I've ever seen spirits, and a series of paranormal events occurred a couple of times per week for the following 9 months which were witnessed simultaneously by my wife. After she gave birth to our new son, nothing of a paranormal nature ever occurred. I wrote up an account of this. My e-mail address: bobr@inetworld.net

The Pursuit of Spiritual Wisdom
Published in Hardcover by Fairleigh Dickinson Univ Pr (August, 1998)
Authors: Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, and Naomi E. Pursuit of Spiritual Knowledge Maurer
Amazon base price: $65.00
Average review score:

great reference book
Maurer has provided all van Gogh and Gauguin scholars a wonderful book to aid them in their studies. It provides fabulous photos of works and she does an excellent job of comparing them. She even has a few paintings that have up until now not been photographed in color. A good study of these great artists and their struggles for original expression and spirituality. Recommended for any scholar.
