As a professional Psychic, I use the runes as a tool, for focus. The use of runes are becoming more and more wide spread. After laying dormant for many generations in the western cultures, the runes were rediscovered and have become an icon in the metaphysical pop culture of today.

The art of rune casting and rune use, is clearly spelled out in this book. I would recommend it for beginners as well as advanced practioners. It never hurts to be able to put yourselves back to basics once in a while, so you can co a self exam and make sure that you are still on the right track or on the track you want to be on.

The Rune Oracle is comprehensive and so complete, and is done in such a fashion that you can instantly start using your runes.

When I revamped our church nursery program I didn't know this book existed. I wish I had! It covers all the basics and is applicable to any size program. The best part about the book is all of the comments and suggestions from church nursery coordinators from all over the country. Ideas that work in real places. I also liked the reproducible forms included in the book. There are also teaching and song suggestions in back of the book that are really helpful. I think this book will benefit any church nursery program.

The first week after reading this book, I began implementing some of the suggested plans for our nursery program, and I am currently developing a nursery manual in response to reading this book. Working backstage? Asked by your local community theatre to pitch in doing props? Foolishly said, "Of course I can build a tree(Silly fool only God can)! Here are the helpful hints and clues that will point you in the right direction without looking like a total fool. Design, construction, lights and sound- Oren Parker has it all. This latest edition is my third copy! They just keep getting better and better. This "rumor" best explains the abilities of one of the authors. A colleague once related the story in which Oren Parker showed up in the university scene shop in a three piece suit, painted a full back drop and walked out without a drop of paint on the suit. I'd be interested in knowing how true this is but not any less impressed with how informative this book has been for me. Well worth the exorbitant price.

I can't tell you how often I've found myself saying "I'm a carpenter, not a designer!" when asked to design a set. I've always muddled through, but now, with this book in hand, I've found 100% more confidence in my designs. Invaluable for the lighting designer who wants to better understand scenic design, and for the scenic designer who wants to understand lighting design. Buy it!

This was a very riveting book. I couldn't put it down. It is a very exciting tale of a true Navy Legend and a national hero. Though there are some chronological gaps, they are minor and the author tells his story well.

A biography of remarkable man. From exploits in WWII to making sure our navy personel have the best equipment availible. No shortcuts under his watch. His life reads very nuch like a novel. In my 25 years of semiconductor process development I have never come across such a complete and in-depth collection of device and process knowledge in a single place. Years ago we needed to spend many hours with the journals to extract the requisite information to supplement our laboratory efforts. These volumes synthesize the basics with the most modern techniques now employed in advanced technologies. In addition, many subtle processing difficulties are addressed as well which will be much appreciated by the researcher. Through the years I have purchased in excess of 100 text references and none comes as close to these in the total knowledge contained within. These volumes are intended for the researchers and engineers working in this field yet they are so very well written and easy to comprehend that any one with such an interest in this field can understand them. Study these volumes completely.

This book provides an outstanding presentation of Silicon processing technology that is technically current, rich in detail, and most importantly, factually correct. The new edition of this book appears to have been completely rewritten, and covers every important area of Silicon processing in a comprehensive manner. I especially enjoyed that fact that in each chapter of the book the basic principles underlying a technology are explained first, and these explanations are then integrated into descriptions of the relevant technology (i.e. PVD, CVD, CMP etc.).

The two Lithography sections are beautifully done, and contain lucid explanations of concepts that I have not seen anywhere else.

For anyone who is seriously interested in semiconductor manufacturing, this book is a "must have". No other volume even comes close to being this comprehensive.

Running a wildlife safari company in Yellowstone, the wolves that we view have become a major attraction. I have learnt so much from this book that it is now a requirement for all my guides to read it from front to back, so they are totally educated on wolves. Rick McIntyre's A Society of Wolves captures everything you want to learn about wolves, including their behavior, pack structure, and how similar they are to us. This book is a must if you are interested in wolves, wildlife and Yellowstone.

Rick McIntyre does us a great service with this book. It is an excellent compilation of written material and photographs that will prove transformational to anyone interested in wildlife. A moving account of day-to-day life in a wolf pack, it also provides an invaluable history of wolf persecution in this country. He also lists excellent resources to contact to learn more about the fate of the wolf and how to become active in their reintroduction. This book answers the questions "Where did all the wolves go?" and "Why do we need them back?" An important and compelling read.

A few years ago I read a whole shelf of books on animals - Animal Rights, Animal Theology, Animal Experimentation, Ranching and the Meat-Packing Industry, and books on individual animals such as elephants, whales, gorillas, chimpanzees, pigs, sea otters, hamsters, and so on. Although all of the books were extremely informative, and left me with a considerably heightened respect for the many wonderful qualities and powers of our animal kin, one book seemed somehow different and more inspiring than the others : Michael W. Fox's 'The Soul of the Wolf.'

Although all of the books are still sitting on my shelves, I never open them anymore. I don't even like to be reminded of them. They're just too depressing. For what all of them have in common is that they bring home forcefully the enormity of the crime that we daily and unconsciously perpetrate against animals all across the globe. Tens of millions of animals are daily tortured to death in laboratories dedicated to the worship of Mammon. Tens of millions of others are cruelly slaughtered to provide some of the unhealthiest food that humans have ever eaten.

In contrast to the average unthinking selfish denizen of the modern world, who tacitly agrees to the prevailing evil, and who seemingly couldn't care less about the sufferings of animals, Michael W. Fox comes over not merely as a concerned and compassionate figure, but as a truly saintly person.

He has lived with wolves. He has seen very deeply into their nature. He respects them as fellow creatures with whom we have many things in common, but who at the same time are vastly superior to us in many respects. And he has understood, of course, that they too have a soul.

His book is at one and the same time both inspiring and profoundly saddening. We are inspired by the marvel that is the wolf; we are sickened at modern man's treatment of this fellow creature.

In the Buddhist Prajnaparamita literature there is a wonderful verse:

"For all creatures, O Lord, desire happiness; all creatures desire happiness and are averse to suffering...."

Most of us, presumably, are aware of this, but if you read Fox you will also become aware that wolves too are every bit as deserving of happiness, if not moreso, as the humans who are involved in a cosmic crime, not only against wolves, but against the whole of nature, for wolves too have souls.

Michael Fox has an amazing and refreshing understanding of wolves and their world. Not your typical coldly scientific wolf biology book. I highly recommend this to anyone who has even a bit of an interest in wolves or canines in general.

An intriguing book. Rather too detailed (but don't give up -- it's full of good stuff). A good reference for managers on how to run a business by maintaining excellent rapport with one's employees (Marcus Woolf style) and an excellent example of professional ethics (again, Marcus Woolf style towards his moles). Some amazing ideas by the East German intelligence, e.g.Romeo agents, are described.

Having travelled to East Berlin during the 50's and 60's, I thought this book would be of some interest. I was not prepared to be as thoroughly enthralled by this account of the East German secret police and its deputy minister, Markus Wolf, as I was. It was an unexpected find! Colitt obviously knows his subject and has created a spellbinding historical account.

Reading this book of short stories and perspectives on stock investment was enjoyable and beneficial. There are a lot of ideas and concepts that were valid in the early 1900s that are still useful today. If you enjoy books on investment and want some simple ideas presented in a simple format, buy this book.

If you like "Stock Market Profits" and "ABC of Stock Speculation", you will surely like this one.
