Short: this is trully a great book on mech vent for neo/peds and should be in evryones personal library who cares for respiratory patients: neonatologist,pediatricians,neo/ped respiratory therapists, neo/ped nurses and for anyone who needs a great reference on this subject.

A feast on neonatal ventilation
I do not think if any other book has covered neonatal ventilation the way this one has. It is an essential item for every doctor caring for the newborn. There is no need to look forward to any other publication on this subject. It has dealt with every aspect of neonatal ventilation so well that it has become a gold standard.

Outstanding and comprehensive EEG classsification
This book is one of the best in its category. It is comprehensive, yet clear. Recommend without hesitation

An excellent visual
This book has very good examples of what to look for in a record. Many books have questionable interpretations for the student or a beginner. The book is laid out well and easy to understand. The section toward the back of the book on interpretation of eye movements is complete and vital to an understanding of the record. Don't be concerned that this book was initially written in German. It is clear and a very good value.

Romance at its best..
This story is a sure read for anyone who enjoys a lovely romantic story. It had me turning the pages over one after the other so fast I was sorry to come to the end. Like the other two books in this series about three sisters, Judy Christenberry seems to know how to make the reader feel that we are part of the plot. This was a case of being in the right place at the right time for Joshuah who was left holding the baby. Not knowing which way to turn he meets an old friends daughter who immediately falls in love with the baby on sight, and thats when things start to happen fast for Maggie. For it is not long before she realises she has fell in love with the daddy also. It is also a very good story which you find yourself getting into quickly. If you like a good romance you will like this Im sure.

A charmingly delightful book, a guaranteed heart-pleaser!
One very run-down diner and three beautiful, independent sisters. Sounds like the makings for a perfect romance, doesn't it? Beloved romance author Judy Christenberry sets hearts aflutter again with her new "Lucky Charm Sisters" series by Silhouette. In her vivacious style, Christenberry acquaints her readers with the plucky O'Connor sisters and the tiny converted-trolley car/diner, called The Lucky Charm, that binds their lives together. Maggie O'Connor, the serious, level-headed sister is the subject of the second "Lucky Charm" story in "Baby In Her Arms". Maggie's sedate, predictable lifestyle is disrupted when the devilishly handsome Josh McKinley appears in her life with a baby in his arms and pleading "I need a woman." Maggie instantly falls in love with baby Ginny. But heaven help her, she was falling for Ginny's daddy too! Would a "marriage in name only" stay that way, or would Maggie finally find the love she longed for? The "Lucky Charm Sisters" are a charmingly delightful series from a delightfully charming author, and one of my favorite people. Judy Christenberry's romances are sure-fire, guaranteed heart-pleasers.

Cool jewelry book for kids
The snappy, fun, and bright beaded jewelry in this book will motivate crafty adolescents to try their hand at making these pieces. The materials are easy to acquire where there are beading supplies, and the instructions are very well illustrated and easy to follow. The techniques are fairly simple, mostly using needle and thread. One of the pieces shows how to finish the ends by using a crimp bead next to the clasps, but all the others are finished by tying the ends in a knot around the clasps, and then sealed with clear nail polish. This repetition of technique keeps the process simple and eliminates the tools generally used in jewelry-making. Some kids might want some help, but once started, they should sail along making these coiled bracelets, strung bracelets and anklets, and earrings. There are also clear illustrations for making a bead loom, and for showing how to weave the beads on the loom to make Indian-look woven bracelets.

Great Book for Kids!
Wonderful book for kids who want to try beading. Teachers, scout leaders, and others who are looking for projects for their kids.

A Real Page Turner
This was an excellent read. I was drawn to the characters and found myself having trouble putting this book down. Great job! The message the author gave was terrific. We should take the time out to listen to our children instead of being to caught up in our own problems. My book club will have this book featured as it's book of the month.

I laughed, I cried, I sighed!
Black Butterflies, Secrets of the past is a great book! Good job Vicki! I loved it! Even my husband, who never reads anything but computer books, is reading it. When will people learn that we must not only talk to our children, but listen to them too. Again great job Vicki!. I also read Chocolate Burnout and can't wait for the sequel, Chocolate Burnout: The Road to Freedom to come out.

The best book for pregnant women!
This book provided a wonderful way to reflect on being pregnant and the many ways it impacts your life. While many books are available to discuss the physical changes and how to best care for your body, this one talked about the emotional, mental, and spiritual changes and how to care for your soul. Written in short "devotionals," the topics range from the silly (why you should feel ok in a bathing suit) to deep (handling fears of miscarriage). Since being given this book in my own pregnancy, I have purchased it for each of my friends who are expecting. Many first time mothers told me it also helped keep themselves focused on the miracle they were experiencing.

The perfect book for a mother-to-be!
"Blessed Expectations," is a book that resonates with a woman during her pregnancy. The words are alive and have deep meaning. It is a joyful book filled with spirit and love. It is a beautiful gift for a mother-to-be, and a wonderful reminder for those who have given birth.

Noel Coward's masterpiece
One can't help but laugh from beginning to end.Yet the argument is very sombre, and could have been the argument of the most grim drama of a German playwriter. It's the wit of Coward, his genius of combining the petty ridiculous whit the dramatic that makes this drama just perfect.Coward's practical views on the supernatural are absolutely irresistible. A must for the occult believer and for the skeptic as well!

Plenty of laughs.
The performances are top-notch in this hilarious British comedy. When the ghost of a dead wife is unleashed on his household by a wacky clairvoyant a man must struggle to meet the demands of all wives, both dead and alive. Noel Coward's comedy is fill with plenty of laughs. The sound quality of this cassette is excellent. If you like books on tape you should try all that L.A. Theatre Works has to offer.

The Borrowed Groom

A heartwarming, family-oriented romance
Mothering came naturally to tender-hearted Melissa Kennedy. Her fondest dream is to have a houseful of children to love and nurture, and with her own house on the Circle K Ranch she has plenty of room for an army of kids. However, Melissa never dreamed that once she applied to become a foster mother she would soon be the mother of five young charges. Only one problem threatened Melissa's happiness - she needed a husband, and needed one fast!

Single father Rob Hansen was a newcomer to the Circle K, taking on the job of foreman as well as raising his 12-year old daughter Teri. When Melissa offers Teri a summer job helping with the foster children, Rob is wary of her motives. But as he watches his daughter blossom under Melissa's kind and loving touch, Rob finds himself becoming intrigued with the beautiful young foster mother. When social services threatens to take Melissa's brood away because she is unmarried, Rob rises to the occasion by agreeing to become her "fiancé" in name only. However, pretend soon turns to reality as Rob's attraction to Melissa turns to love.

"The Borrowed Groom," is the second installment in Judy Christenberry's new summer series, "The Circle K Sisters," and once again the acclaimed romance author gifts her fans with a warm and loving story that prominently features family and home. Christenberry presents Melissa's story as well as updating readers on the lives of her sisters Abby and Beth. Abby's story is scheduled for August release in "Cherish The Boss."

Sharon Galligar Chance, Times Record News

A story with a great deal of heart
The second story of the Kennedy sisters involves Melissa Kennedy and the Circle K's new ranch foreman, Rob Hanson. Melissa, a bred-in-the-bone nester, has opened up a home of her own on the Circle K in order to take care of foster children. The problem is, Social Services does not like the idea of single parenting no matter how great the love and care she claims she can give the children.

Enter Rob Hanson, whose daughter is entering adolesence and whose friendship with Melissa is something he perceives as a threat to their father-daughter relationship. But when he becomes drawn to the children in Melissa's care as well, he commits to the role of a faux fiance for the sake of the children as well as his growing admiration, respect, and love for Melissa.

Christenberry does a wonderful job of writing Rob and Melissa's story. There's a great deal of heart in their relationship on a lot of different levels. His reluctance to commit himself to marriage is overcome by Melissa's boundless love for the children, something he wishes she could feel for him. The author cements the story with the development of the main characters' feelings for the children and this aspect of the story added a great amount of depth.

The Circle K trilogy improves with this installment and I am looking forward to reading the Abby's story.

A courageous, honest look at the breast cancer experience
This writer's group of breast cancer survivors explores the darkness and the light of dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, the most common cancer in American women. The prose, poetry, and vignettes offered in this wonderful collection are presented with power and an honesty that sometimes takes your breath away. For example, one entry is on thoughts of suicide -- something even we breast cancer survivors rarely confess to each other. The writer talks starkly about being surprised to find herself planning (just in case) an act that she had always found dispicable, and speaking with tremndous candor and bravery about her thoughts and reasons for even looking at the issue. Some of the entries are also just plain funny, with the kind of irony that serious illness or disaster sometimes engenders. I'll always keep a vivid image of the account of one of the writer's brothers shopping for Astroglide for her when it was unavailable in her part of the country -- and he did this shopping in full clerical gear and collar! As a two-time breast cancer survivor (so far), I've used this book to focus my own thinking and to help offer peer-to-peer support to other women facing the challenges of the disease and the changes it brings to their lives. I've shared it with my husband to help him understand even more fully the range of effects and emotions caused by breast cancer. I've read whole chapters of it aloud as a member of a therapy group for women with advanced breast cancer. The book has helped us as we explore issues arising from dealing with a less-than-favorable long-term prognosis and the existential questions that arise from being in that situation. If you have or have had breast cancer and have ever wondered, "Does anyone else feel this way, or am I just crazy??" buy this and read it! Believe me, you are not alone! If you have not had the disease, but perhaps are a friend or relative of someone with breast cancer, and if you want to know the emotional experience of having breast cancer, this is the book for you. Can You Come Here Where I Am? is an invaluble resource and also a comfort in showing the common threads of experiencing the diagnosis, treatment and aftermath of breast cancer.

Personal, poignant reponses to diagnosis, treatment.
A wonderful, uplifting, funny and enchanting look at the lives of seven women struggling and living through the rigors of diagnosis and treatment for breast cancer. As every woman's nightmare became reality for these women, they chose to pour out their disbelief, anger, frustration and their determination in intensely personal vignettes about life, loss, priorities and survival.

I began this book expecting to be depressed, but found myself laughing as well as crying at vagaries of the medical profession, the common ways we all deceive ourselves, and the ultimate hopefulness of spirit. This is not another book about how to deal with diagnosis, nor is it the narrative of a miracle. It is the lyrical (and sometimes in-your-face) story of the ordinary and extraordinary events that punctuate all our lives.

A wonderful book for anyone touched by breast cancer - survivor, family member or friend - and I suppose that includes all of us.
