Must have for any serious Beatles fan
A must have for any serious Beatles fan. Unlike many other Beatles quiz books, this book offers the usual easy questions that every hardcore fan knows, but it also offers up so really tough ones (and they are not stupid questions like what color was John's coat in the third scene of the Magical Mystery Tour TV show, but are more music oriented). Truly a fun and informative Beatles book. The original 1975 and 1985 Bell Publishing First Edition's has become quite sought after by Beatles memorabilia collectors, listing for up to $[money] (scaled evaluation on condition) on various antiquarian book dealer sites and catalogues.

The best, most comprehensive gardening and design book.
This wonderfully illustrated book will stimulate your imagination and make you want to roll up your sleeves and get gardening. For anyone who wants to expand the living space in your house to the outside, it will help you understand the potential that is there, just waiting to be transformed. You will be able to design and plan any work to make your property beautiful and enjoyable, therefore more livable. It has the best lists of flowers, broken down into easy to understand catagories including: annuals, perennials and biennials, colors, height, time of bloom, soil requirements, etc. I have read this book every year for over 20 years and consider it the best book for gardening. Just ignore the outdated information on dangerous chemicals and you are on your way to having a wonderful, organic flower and vegetable garden. One that you can be proud of and enjoy in all seasons. If I had one book to pick on gardening, this one is it

A great introduction to the field
I highly recommend this audio book to those wanting to understand the emerging science of complex adaptive systems. It is more than the best of a good series on the history of science. I especially enjoyed the discussion what the acceptance complex adaptive systems as a legitimate area of scientific inquiry means to our concept of science and to scientific methodology. Over the years I've given away at least half a dozen of these tapes to philosophers, scientists, and educated laymen. Without exception, they have been impressed with its quality and clarity.

A Concordance to the Septuagint: And the Other Greek Versions of the Old Testament (Including the Apocryphalbooks)
Published in Hardcover by Baker Book House (1998)
Authors: Edwin Hatch and Henry A. Redpath
Amazon base price: $125.00

A thick, but helpful tool
This is a thick book, both physically in its size, and in the material it contains. It lists every Greek word in the Septuagint (canonical and apocryphal), followed by the Hebrew words corresponding to the Greek ones, and then every book and verse the word appears in, and the context of each verse! Appendix One has all the Greek proper names. Appendix two gives a complete concordance of the Greek Ecclesiasticus when compared to the Hebrew fragments. Appendix three gives a concordance of the Hexapleric fragments that scholars possess. Appendix four is a newer part (from 1998), and lists Hebrew and Aramaic words and their LXX equivalent. As can be seen, this is one large book (1860 pages). This edition also contains a good introduction, which was added in 1998. The original edition came out in the late 1800s/early 1900s.

The only drawback would be that the English translation of each Greek word is not given. So in other words, to fully appreciate this you would need to know Greek, or else have a good Lexicon handy. Since most folks using this would probably be scholars, or know Greek, this shouldn't be a problem. Overall, a fine and massive work!

Courage and GUTS
This book is a must read for every man who wants to become or grow to be a stronger man of God. Dr. Cole focus's this book a bit to young men but it is never to late. He talks of Sex, Dating, being Godly men and being mature men. He focus's on being MEN OF INTEGRITY. I couldn't put this book down. I read it twice in four days. The first time just to read it, and the second to make notes and have read it a third time since. It helped me realize some faults in my thinking and methods. This book is INCREDIBLE!

Reaching Men Of This Generation
Courage is a book which challenges men from all walks of life, men of all color and economic backgrounds to become the men God designed each of us to be. As a Pastor who has used Dr. Cole's books to teach the men of our church, I can tell you the men of our church who have gone through the teaching and study guide associated with this book, we ave seen their marriages restored, we have seen their personal walk with God increase to new levels as these men have recommitted themselves to a higher level of excellence in the work God has for each of us while we are on this earth. Men have gotten victory over their addictions to drugs, pornography, and alcohol. They have humbled themselves before other men and allow other men to speak into their life as they submit themself to accountability to other men on a weekly and daily basis.

I would recommend this book to any man who is searching how to grow closer to God and discover how important it is for the man to learn how to become the leader of the home and take on the responsibilities so many men in America refuse to do through a lack of knowledge or they simply do not care. As a result we find homes throughout this country where the home is absent of fathers or role models for children. These homes without fathers result in kids not receiving the proper discipline to keep them out of trouble.

Dr. Cole uses his quote which is so true "We are a male by birth but we are a man by choice."

Please take time to invest in your family by reading this book.

Best Book I Ever Read!
Edelbach and Winston should look to this true professional to create the SET book. He writes with the quality of a true professional, which is why he remains a professor at the wonderful institution of the College Of New Jersey. His writings are genuine and compelling. I never would have thought that cultural anthropology would be such an exciting subject until I picked up this book!

Defintion of Suicide - from the father o suicidology
Once again I'm writing here a review of one of the most experts in suicidology - Shneidman, Edwin, Ph.D. Dr. Shneidman, the father of Suicidology is the right person write about the defintion of suicide. It is a valuable resource for both students and professional in the mental health area. As Litman, M.D. said - "...this is an epic book of scholarship...", and it surely is. From the characteristics of suicide to an historical view, and a most educational book, I would say that this masterpeace is unique in its scope and content and with no doubt worth reading.
