A must have for infants !!
My 8 month-old son can`t seem to get enough of the book since I bought it for him 2 weeks ago. Besides the interesting pop-ups, the illustrations are so colourful that he can`t keep his eyes and hands off !! Great buy for all infants.

Fantastic!!
This book is wonderful! Our 4 month old granddaughter loves to look at the pop-ups. Our 4 year old grandson loves the book as well. He aske me to read it 5 times in one afternoon and then told me the story as I turned the pages!

you can't go wrong!
My daughter loves these books- they are colorful, attention grabbing, interactive, and the rhyming poems are engaging. we never tire of reading all of these pop-ups- my daughter usually laughs the whole way through. I have given the set as gifts and friends tell me that their kids love them too. Highly recommended- stick them in the diaper bag!

A storm is going on at the same time. when they cross over the bridge the bridge falls down. kristy and Bart's team have to spend this night at a old house that they think is hauted. will they make it though the night? Find out when you read this great book

I loved this book you should to.
Kristy and the haunted mansion is one of the best baby-sitters club books that I have read so far. I love baby-sitters club because it's always an adventure to experience. Kristy and her softball team got stuck in a thunderstorm and had to sleep in a big spooky mansion on sayer road. they snoop around and find out a lot of stuff about the people who used to live there and even met one of them. But they survived the night. The members of the baby-sitters club threw a party for Kristy when she got back to Stoneybrook.

This book was great!
Kristy and the Haunted Mansion is really worth reading. It's so good, and I like that Kristy and the Krashers' night is so creepy, and mysterious. Read it, and you won't regret it!

LIFE IN LETTERS : A NEW COLLECTION EDITED AND ANNOTATED BY MATTHEW J. BRUCCOLI

The Beautiful and Damned.
F. Scott Fitzgerald scholar Matthew J. Bruccoli offers a discerning sample of Fitzgerald's letters that serve as an informal biography. Fitzgerald suffered many demons. Alcoholism and poor health were the obvious problems. From reading his letters, we learn that protecting his artistic integrity also weighed heavily on him. Money problems forced him to spend time writing lightweight but commercially viable stories for magazines. This took precious time away from his major work of writing serious novels. His afflicted wife, Zelda, was another dilemma. In 1930, Zelda had her first breakdown, and never recovered. Providing for her care and treatment added to his money woes. Although Fitzgerald enjoyed early success in 1920 with "This Side of Paradise," it was short-lived. By 1924, he wrote to Edmund Wilson, "I really worked hard as hell last winter--but it was all trash and it nearly broke my heart." There was critical success in 1925 with "The Great Gatsby," but it was a financial disappointment. Fitzgerald spent the next nine years writing, revising, and agonizing over "Tender Is the Night." Contrary to hope, that book failed to restore his reputation. The letters display deep introspection, opinions on other writers, comments of manners and morals, and daily concerns of money. There are also amusing and chatty letters to his daughter, Scottie. Fitzgerald's letters to Scribner's Maxwell Perkins and his literary agent, Harold Ober, are the most interesting, and reveal much of his concerns and ideas. Letters written to Zelda in the sanitarium are generally tender and loving, but occasionally they are cross and complaining. The book stops with a letter written to Scottie shortly before Fitzgerald's death in December 1940. Recommended reading for F. Scott Fitzgerald fans. ;-)

Intriguing form of biography
This is the sort of book that makes one long for the days prior to-email, when people actually wrote letters to one another and correspondence other than bills and junk mail filled one's mailbox. The book is a valuable supplement to Fitzgerald's many biographies; his letters reveal a remarkable clarity and self-awareness. My heart ached after reading some of them. A must read for all Fitzgerald historians.

I do recommend reading one of Fitzgerald's many biographies prior to reading his letters, as it is a fascinating exercise comparing Fitzgerald's interpretation/rationalization of an event with a third party's.

Fitzgerald as only Fitzgerald knew him.
If you want to gain insight into the life of F. Scott Fitzgerald then seek no further. This amazing compilation of Fitzgerald's correspondences to family, friends, business associates and acquaintances portrays the man and the writer in a way no biographer could imagine. In his letters can be clearly seen Fitzgerald the literary genius, Fitzgerald the loving husband and father as well as Fitzgerald the sycophant and Fitzgerald the tortured and insecure neurotic. The genesis and the demise of one of the most fascinating men of his time eloquently presented in his own words.

Fires are being set off in the library
Mary Anne volunteers to work at the Readathon (a contest for the little kids to read books for prizes and to get new books for the library) and then fires start being set off! Mary Anne and the rest of the members of the Baby-sitters Club decide to catch the person setting them off! Not only the BSC but Nicky Pike, BSC member Mallory Pike's brother, is helping too because some matches were found in his jacket pocket and he didn't put them there. So who would set fire to some books and why? Is it the protestors who want to ban some of the books? Is it one of the kids that doesn't want to be in the Readathon? Is it actually Nicky? You have to read the book to find out! I rated it 5 stars because it was well written and pretty fun to read. You probably won't guess who's setting off fires...but you will like the ending!

Bravo, Mary Anne!
I just love Mary Anne & her endearing sensitivity & her incredible courage! She's such a lovely person with a strong character! It was a cute, funny opening scene where Mary Anne is feeling depressed & to lift her blues, watches a sad movie & cries & cries. Trouble is, she doesn't feel much better & goes to the BSC meeting with red, swollen eyes. Then when the readathon is announced, I liked how Mary Anne got involved & THAT lifted her sadness. I liked how, even though she was missing Dawn & Logan, she didn't sit around feeling sorry for herself. Wow, those parts where the fires were happening were scary for her. Poor Mary Anne has terrible nightmares! The nightmares get worse, considering that Mary Anne is anxious & nightmare-prone. Boy, were Mary Anne & Kristy heroes when they finally caught the firebug! The ending was cute & touching when the librarians are giving awards to the kids, Nicky whistles when Mary Anne is recognized & Mary Anne blushes a bright red! & to top it all off, she ends up blubbering in front of everyone! It's endearing how she cries so easily. I love how the girls in the BSC solve their own mysteries & problems unlike many of the girls from the former Fabulous Five series who wait around for their boyfriends to be the heroes. There needs to be more books about girls as heroes.

This Book Rocks!
Mary Anne and the Library Mystery is very good book. Because I love books so much, it's nice to read about books from a good book! I love this! I haven't even readed it yet, and I still can say it's good. I'm excited to know who is the firebug. Because, here's what has happened. Mary Anne is having a terrible blues, because her best friend Dawn has left Stoneybrook and is now in California. Her boyfriend belongs to the volleyball team and now it's in somewhere - I don't know, but not in Stoneybrook. And one of Mary Anne's friends is having mono. But when Mary Anne gets job from Stoneybrook Library, her blues is away. But things aren't alright. Somebody is setting fires all over the library! Who would want to burn down all the book? And the library is fulled of children! Mary Anne and her friends understand that this is serious thing and they have to solve this mystery, before it's too late!

amazingly useful for all readers
There are more technical and lengthy commentaries on Matthew's gospel, and there are shorter commentaries, but this is the one I reach for most. Dr. Blomberg is a respected and gentle scholar who writes with warmth and yet packs insight into each paragraph. Technical references and interaction with other scholars are kept to the footnotes which makes this a joy to read, a fascinating (yet reliable) description of "what happened" to Jesus, a valuable resource for the Sunday School teacher and a work which now must certainly be consulted regarding any academic research. A welcome addition in today's confusing religious world.

One of the best non-technical commentaries on Matthew
Craig Blomberg has already provided us with what is probably the most lucid introduction to the gospels (Jesus and the Gospels: An Introduction and Survey). Now he has given us one of the finest non-technical commentaries on Matthew's gospel. This work is marked by mature and lucid exegesis that is as edifying as it is informative. Rather than re-shaping the work of other commentators, Blomberg has obviously thought through the exegesis himself, offering concise, clear and cogent explanation of the text. The footnotes offer some interaction with previous and current scholarship. Pastors and teachers will treasure this work.

Best short commentary on Matthew in English
Blomberg's one volume commentary not only is abreast of current scholarship but shows a a deep concern for the poor and needy which is surely the correct social setting for Jesus and Matthew. The books gives in a brief compass helpful insights on many difficult texts.

Perfect for the little Matthew in your life
This is a story about a teacher with 25 Matthews in her class. Some of our favorites are Matthew C. who has cowlicks(look for the words his cowlicks form throughout the book),Matthew H. appears to be headless (ever know a boy who pulls his shirt over his head), and Matthew K. is unusually fond of ketchup (He dresses like a ketchup bottle). Matthew Z. (dressed in zippers) transfers into her class at the end of the book. I puchased this book after reading a rave review in the chicago trib. I looked in every bookstore I could find before finding it cheeper at amazon. This is a wonderful book for any child preschool thru 1st grade. My 5 year old has it memorized! I sent it to school with him and the teacher just loved it, we are going to order an extra one to donate to his class.

Creative Alphabet Fun.....
"Mrs. Tuttle has 25 children in her class. They are all named Matthew. Principal Nozzet wonders how Mrs. Tuttle tells them apart. She finds it quite simple..." Starting with the letter A, meet each Matthew, and find out what's special about him. For example, Matthew A is extremely affectionate, Matthew B loves Band-Aids, Matthew C has cowlicks, and so on, letter by letter, through the alphabet. Peter Catalanotto's easy to read, spare text is complemented with clever, bold and bright illustrations, filled with eye-catching detail and humor. Matthew G has trouble with glue, and Mr Catalanotto shows him stuck to his chair and covered with school supplies. Matthew I is incognito, wearing a fedora and fake glasses, nose, and mustache. And Matthew R, my personal favorite, is freckled with a rhinoceros, and if kids look closely they'll see the outline of a freckle-made rhino, horn and all, on Matthew R's face. Perfect for youngsters 3-7, Matthew A.B.C. is a creative and imaginative learning tool that both engages and entertains. As classmate number 25, Matthew Y, yodels, Principal Nozzet brings a new student in to join the class. Can you guess his name? Here's a hint, he's covered in zippers!

Matthew A.B.C. for MY Matthew
i read this book on the recommendation from a friend, because I have an 18 month old named Matthew. This is the cutest book i have read in a long time. The author did a great job of writing the story, and Kudos to the artist for their portrayal of the spoken word. Even my 18 month old understands the difference between the Matthews and their coorelation with the alphabet. I would especially recommend this book to anyone who has a Matthew (no matter what the age). I am personally purchasing two more to donate to my children's school library.

A blast from the past
I have enjoyed this bible very much. highly recommend. it was written when religion acutally meant something and people cared and loved each other and worshipped Jesus Christ, not because they had to,but because they understood the gospel and the beauty of it.
Matthew has written superb commentar which is a joy to read
and really helps open the scriptures.

A Great Text and Commentary.
Matthew Henry's commentary brings to life the basic and not so basic truths found in this sacred book. He also offers introductions and themes for each book. Written in the poetry of the old English(KJV), the historical stories we have come to love come to life. This is a great text for the "baby" christain and the adult as well.

Most complete study Bible I have ever used
The Matthew Henry Study Bible is an excellent integration of the well-known and long-uitlized Matthew Henry Commentary of the Whole Bible. Every idea is explained so very well. I have used this Bible for personal Bible Study, for preparing sermons, and now that I am working with Yokefellows Prison Ministry, this Bible has been a great help in answering the many, thought-provoking questions the inmates ask. I have used several other study Bibles that I probably should not name here. But not one of them comes close to being as helpful and as comprehensive as the Matthew Henry Study Bible.

Of all of the inspiring tapes I have listened to and books I have read this one is simply the best! I have lent my copy to both my mother and mother-in-law and they both said the same thing Matthew Kelly's message is fabulous.
