This wonderfully, illustrated, 32 page children's book condenses an incredible amount of information into five to six sentence paragraphs on each page for quick reading. I was impressed with the use of accurate vocabulary for the tasks and tools of the times which is approximately between the years 1780 - 1865, before industrialization really took hold in our America. Various trades and typical household tasks are explained and told in story fashion in each paragraph. A quick read, but can be used in school lessons if one chooses to expand a little. Excellent for children learning about early American history, and an excellent comparison with European lifestyles of the same time in history. The illustrations are also great story starters with many interesting details that enhance the information, as well as whimsical touches such as a cat perched on a roof or chasing a mouse, a duck in a puddle, or a dog snuggled next to the woodstove. This is a book we will read many times over.

This book presents a well organized and deeply thought out approach at describing and explaining cosmology and human consciousness within the cosmological context. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in a non-religious explanation of "what's it all about".

In this book famous Dr. Joseph Murphy explains you the metaphysical interpretation of Gospel of John in very clear and interesting terms. He opens your eyes to undertstand the biblical symbols and true meaning of this wonderful Gospel.

In my opinion, this book is very good and very suggested reading after you've read some of Dr. Murphy's other books. If you want to have an additional view and understanding toward the Bible's secrets -- this book is for you! He will guide you to understand the secrets that the Bible as a spiritual and psychological textbook can offer us.

Another suggested book is "Pray your way through it" which is a metaphysical interpreation of Revelation of St. John the Divine.

Pele: His Life And Times by Harry Harris (chief soccer correspondent of the London periodical "Mirror") is a first-rate, penetrating look at the world famous superstar athlete and the "Black Pearl" of championship soccer. From the soccer star's birth in Brazil 1940 to his unbelieveable triple set of World Cup championships to daily and family life, Pele: His Life And Times looks at everything that went into the making of a truly amazing sports figure and more. Pele: His Life And Times is a superbly presented and highly recommended sports biography and a "must" for the legions of Pele fans.

I got this Book during the AAO meeting in Denver. I started reading it and reviewing during my rounds and Case presentations. It has excellent and valuable information on Many topics in addition to physiology. I found it comprehensive, yet easy to read. Several of my Colleagues saw the book and are buying it. I now keep it as a main otology reference on my shelf.

What a shame this work is not in print. It provides a comprehensive look at the career and character of a great film auteur. However, if anyone is interested in Mankiewicz's film style, another book in print does give a great examination of the making of the Quiet American in Vietnam. It tells the true and detailed story of Mank's problems there. See A THINKER'S DAMN by William Russo.

If you want to make the most of your resource budget this year, be sure that you add the "HELP" Series from St. Mary's Press to your library. I am always looking for materials that motivate my volunteer teachers to design their own programs and processes. The HELP ( Heads up, Easy, Low cost, Purposeful) series does just that.

The HELP book series contains a broad range of activities. They are great filler material for current curriculum or better yet, use them as my teachers did to create your own meetings, classes and retreats. There is plenty of commentary and advice on creating prayer and community in each book.

Even the most experienced among us will probably find some surprises as they read along. In the "Prayer" book we found the creative and inexpensive "God Can" prayer which was a fine closing service where we could use all those empty aluminum cans we had collected after lunch at a recent retreat. And for my older teens I will be using the "Post Card Journals" found in the same book.

I have had this book for years now. Joseph Bayly is able to put down on paper so much of how people feel whether their spirit are soaring as high as an eagle, or they're just having a very bad day. The honesty of his discussions with God are refreshing.

This book is one that keeps coming in and out of publication. I try and always have 3 copies on hand. Most of the time they are loaned out to people. This book is one I will have in my library until the day I die.
