An oldie but a goldie
This is the first handwriting analysis book that I read that made any sense. Bunker, who was the founder of the International Graphoanalysis Society, adds a bonus to this book--it is his
autobiography. This book is the culmination of his life's work, and after all these years, it has become a classic. There are
some today that are more advanced...but that doesn't mean they're better. I highly recommend this one. You won't be
disappointed, I promise.

The authoritative work on handwriting analysis
I first read this book in 1975 when I was in college. For purchasers of the book there was an offer on the back cover to have one's own handwriting analyzed by an expert. I sent several lines in and had my handwriting analyzed. Like many I thought it was akin to reading palms or tea leaves. After reading the book and receiving my analysis I can vouch for the efficacy of M N Bunker's methods.

By spending time with all elements he was able to connect handwriting with behavioral patterns. The brain is connected to the hand! Greed, kindness, health, physical and artistic ability, intelligence all are revealed in one's handwriting.

God Bless This Company!
I am a loyal user of Newman's Own and Newman's Own Organics. This is a fun cookbook. My daughter and I enjoyed making the Jack in the Beanstalk Soup. It is nice to have a cookbook including so many of the Newman products. Lemonade Chicken Wings? Very tasty and a nice variety from the spicy.

Congratualtions Mr Newman. I hope this book makes the kids a lot of money!

The Turkey meatballs and spaghetti is really good.
The books recipes are fun and easy. Some of My family members will not eat beef, and the Turkey meatballs and spaghetti was an excellent sub for beef meatballs.

GORGEOUS BOOK!
This book is wonderful! Visually stunning, some of the pictures are enough to make you drool! Filled with extremely well photographed color and B&W photos of museum quality pieces, used to illustrate the jewelry terms being defined. The definitions are well written, and reference related terms in a very smooth and easy to follow way. This book is a MUST if you are fond of jewelry! MORE than worth the money!

The BEST jewelry dictionary I've seen so far...
From A to Z, the best jewelry dictionary I've seen. Aside from looking something up, it gives you the opportunity to learn terms you've never heard before. Even if you've been in the business a long time. Fantastic. Every antique lover should have this book!

What a refreshing book!
I love this book! Newman has an eye-opening approach to matters of everyday life: my favorite chapters include the Man/Woman Thing, Do Talk to Strangers!, Giving in a Culture of Getting. It's not a problem solving approach - it's more about helping you to see your problems in a different way, in a new light, and that helps to make the problem actually go away. One of the more empowering books that I've read in a long time. I heartily recommend!! Even my husband (!) is enjoying it.

read this book
This book is not about self-help. It's about letting go of the things that are making you unhappy. Let's Develop offers individuals tools on how to develop again the way we did as children. That trying to get what we need is what is making us feel so needy. This book offers the only practical guide to gaining higher self-esteem that I have found. The tools in this book can give any person a greater sense of worth right away. You don't have to resolve the past or confront issues to feel better today. Today is about what you make of it. This book gives real guidelines on how to improve your life through giving.

This self-help book puts the emphasis on self, and it helps.
I've read a number of books that claim that they can help you solve your problems. This book makes no such claims. Instead, the author relates stories that are easy to relate too and gives you techniques that you put into practice every day of your life. I have one copy in the office and the other at home, and everytime one becomes a little overwhelming, out comes the book. With each reading the book continues to grow.

helpful and informative guide
If you are planning to gaze upon the Pyramids, climb Mount Sinai, sail the Nile or explore the catacombs of Alexandria your first step is to pick up a copy of "Let's Go Egypt". If you go by yourself or better still treat yourself to a package tour complete with a Nile cruise you will find this volume helpful and insightful. Egypt is a amazing destination and on every trip there I have experienced a warm welcome from the people. While bustling Cairo is what most tourists first see don't miss the smaller towns along the Nile in the "Upper Kingdom" between Aswan and Luxor. The sprawling temple of Karnak and the smaller but still impressive temple of Luxor are situated at Luxor, Egypt. The Temple of the Sun at Abu Simbel is a very short plane ride from Aswan, Egypt. At Aswan don't miss the Temple of Isis on Philae and do return some evening for the Sound and Light show. Let's Go will serve as a detailed guide to these and many other wonders. I was amazed at the level of detail and how up to date the book was. I believe Egypt is still a safe destination and found security for tourists to be a top priority. Following the common sense advice found in Let's Go will ensure a safe, happy and memorable trip. Don't miss it!

A must have guide for "The Land of the Pharoahs"!
I enjoyed "Let's go Egypt" and found it to be an invaluable guide. This is the second edition I have owned, which I received as a gift for my lastest jaunt to Egypt during March-April 2002. If you are taking a guided tour as I did complete with Nile Cruise or simply going it on your own the book is a tremendous resource. The National Museum of Antiquities in Cairo is probably the most famous museum on Earth. It has a far greater collection than any other museum I have ever seen in the United States or Europe. The book breaks down each room and serves as an accurate guide. "Lets go" is extremely up to date and they send their observers in every year to accurately judge hotels, restaurants, resorts you name it. From flea-bag to modest to Five Star and Ultra deluxe many hotels and restaurants and stores are described and rated fairly. Every major tourist spot and attraction, from the fabulous Sound and Light show in Cairo to the Valley of the Kings at Luxor and the Temple of Rameses at Abu Simbel, are described and the book tells you how to get there, what to expect and pay and how to find your way around. Having been to Egypt numerous times now I would continue to recommend it as a memorable and amazing vacation. I continue to feel that Egypt is a safe and welcoming place, something I and my fellow travelers cannot say of every country. I would, however, recommend a guided tour with Nile Cruise (I have done three) especially for the first timer and even for seasoned travelers. You get a great deal on wonderful accomodations often with meals, helpful escorts and transportation that save you lots of hassle, knowlegable guides that illuminate the past and, most of the time, new friends to share it with. On my most recent trip I found the locals over-joyed to see us and bending over backwards to make sure we had a good time. Nearly one fourth of the Egyptian economy is supported by the tourist trade and they need jobs and work just like we do here. The "Let's go guide" is filled with information on staying healthy and safe and helpful in having a good time whatever traveling option you choose. Thanks and Best Wishes, CAL

Neuroanatomy for the masses
In many US medical schools, the didactic years are marked by an institution known as the Note Pool. Inasmuch as the prevailing motto is "Cooperate and Graduate," classes of medical students will join forces to systematically attack the task of assimilating the vast amount of factual information under which they're routinely buried. Because almost all lectures are taken in common (i.e., the first two years of med school jam everybody into the same classroom), it's possible for everyone to make use of the same notes.

Enter the Note Pool. Like the doctors they'll become, medical students approach their work with different aptitudes, interests, and educational backgrounds -- and they *specialize*. If there are five lectures in biochemistry every week, the average class of med students is bound to have at least five members with a background (often at postgraduate level) in biochemistry, and there will be a volunteer for each lecture who will accept responsibility for concentrating attention on a particular day's presentation, bashing the material into cogency, and submitting it for photocopying and distribution to the entire class.

Back in the days when we ran off our notes on a mimeograph machine, I was a sort of "utility infielder" for our Note Pool, filling in when people couldn't make it to class, handling the extra lectures that got shuffled into our schedules, and generally shouldering the extra work that came along. (Needless to say, I became a general practitioner.) Neuroanatomy was one of those one-trimester courses that "came along." I got stuck with both of the weekly lectures, and that leads us to a discussion of *Manter and Gatz's Essentials of Clinical Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology*.

Bearing a double burden of lectures to cover (while also running the Note Pool's mimeograph machine), I had desperate need of a "cheat sheet" to help me get at the essentials of this subject, and I found it in a much earlier edition of this book. Lucid, economically written, and perpetually on-point, *Manter and Gatz* enabled me not only to educate myself in the essentials of human neuroanatomy but also to put the material in order for the rest of my med school class. The present edition (reviewed here) is BETTER than the book that saved our collective butt back in the days before Mangled Care, and I would recommend it not only to medical students and the FMGs striving to break into the bleak present practice environment but also to medical writers in need of an inexpensive, reliable, and accessible source of information on this extremely important subject.

As the present electoral hoo-haw amply demonstrates, the vast majority of the population certainly doesn't make any effective *USE* of what they're carrying between their ears. This notwithstanding, the silly boogers do have central nervous systems, and it behooves those of us responsible for the medical care of these damned fools to know how those neurons and their supporting structures are organized. *Manter and Gatz* provides that much and more.

Easy to understand, overall a fun book!
I learned how to bark like a dog (my favorite) and now I scare people at school. They look around with a confused look on their faces saying "Where's the dog?!?"

Very funny, informative guide to the folk art of sound makin
A well-written, step-by-step, fun guide to the folk art of sound making. I actually learned how to taxi whistle with two fingers, bark like a dog so well my chihuahua goes crazy, do cartoon SFX, and do a perfect impression of a water drip. I've used the sounds a lot in story telling, juicing up a story at a party, and when reading to my kids. It a great party book - I used it at a deadly family reunion to break the ice. It was a hit. The book comes with tear-out record which you will have to transfer to tape to really use. That's a pain, but it is very helpful. It obviously needs updating to a CD or tape. Book also includes a great deal information about the history of sound, the human voice, and sound-making. The author, by the way, was host of Disney's Mickey Mouse club for years, and now does voices, music and sound for Nickelodeon and Disney's DOUG animated series.
