Faith and Doubt: The Unfolding of Newman's Thought on Certainty
Published in Hardcover by Patmos Pr (1976)
Author: William R. Fey
Amazon base price: $22.95
Used price: $36.40
Average review score:

PROBING & AUTHORITATIVE: A REMARKABLE STUDY
As one of Dr. Fey's former students, I was already familiar with the clarity of thought & sound arguments that characterize his presentations, whether written or oral. This work is a brilliant example of his linear-logic style. Fey takes a long, broad view at Newman's positions, and helps the reader understand both their evolution and their appeal. In the end, one need not agree with the entirety of Newman's conclusions to appreciate Fey's insight in setting them forth. This is a dense read, to be sure, packed with heavy language and even heftier concepts. But it's a compelling testament, too, to Cardinal Newman's dynamic faith walk and Bill Fey's talents as a philosophical & spiritual guide along the way.

Fibber E. Frog (A Fun E. Friends Book)

Authors: Al Newman and Jim Doody
Amazon base price: $8.95
Average review score:

Fibber E. Frog
This book teaches children about telling "fibs" through a likeable frog named "Fibber". Instead of focusing on why it is important to always tell the truth, this book takes a different approach. It encourages children to be comfortable with who they are, and to not feel that they need to build themselves up to others by making up stories that are not true. I have not not found another book like it!

Soul Food Par Excellence
No one plumbs the deeps of faith more illuminatingly than John Henry Newman, and in these fifteen sermons he affirms the dignity of our state with an eloquence and conviction that place him in the very first rank of Catholic apologists.

Pounce, gentle reader.

The Flowering of the Maryland Palatinate
Published in Paperback by Clearfield Co (2001)
Author: Harry Wright Newman
Amazon base price: $32.50
Average review score:

A core reference title for American genealogy collections.
The Flowering Of The Maryland Palatinate describes the lives and times of the two hundred adventurers who participated in the original expedition to Maryland in 1634, describing in detail their part in the founding and settlement of the colony, and the development of colonial Maryland's distinctive manorial system. Consisting principally of biographical and genealogical sketches of these two hundred settlers drawn by genealogist Harry Wright Newman from contemporary court records, letters, and miscellaneous papers, The Flowering Of The Maryland Palatinate is not only a definitive history of thee early Marylanders, but has done for genealogical research the same kind of seminal and groudbreaking work for the passengers of the Ark and the Dove, that took a legion of genealogical researchers to perform regarding the passengers of the Mayflower. The Flowering Of The Maryland Palatinate is highly recommended for personal, professional, academic, genealogical center, and public library genealogical and colonial era reference collections.

Valuable leadership lessons, drawn from life.
This, is the third in a set of three compiling General Newman's long-running series of essays in ARMY Magazine. Volume III contines the lessons, with more emphasis on high command.
While specifically designed for the military leader, General Newman"s principles are universally applicable and will prove useful for anyone in a leadership position.
All three are highly recommended.

This is a wonderful little volume, with an excellent "ideas per dollar" ratio. Eatwell's essay alone is worth the purchase price. This book serves as an excellent gateway into the fascinating and dynamic world of the theory of games.
