A Wondrous Story (or book of poetry)
Wendy's book is very beautiful. Not only are the poems insightful and enlightening, but Jon Anderson's artwork provides a unique view on both her work and in the workings of a modern artist who usually is known for his own poetry. Reading the poems and enjoying the paintings provides a nice respite from the normal material one reads.

A Reflection of Life's Emotion's
I consider myself fortunate to know Wendy Vig personally and when I read this book it fulfilled my expectations of what I feel when I speak with her. Wendy is one of those rare individual's who can obsorb life's energy and emotion through her contact with people, music, art, just about anything she comes in contact with. Her work in this book is a direct reflection of her heart's reaction to both Jon's music and her own personal love and understanding of life's emotional up's and down's. If you are a person who feels the emotional beauty of music and yearns to put those feelings into words, you must read this book. The 28 pages of poetry and art in this book will fill the library of your heart for the rest of your life.

A Real Treasure to Have
This book of poems is very special. I could feel it the day I received it and read the poems. Each Page has wonderful watercolor artwork by Jon Anderson. You can read it daily and just think all day about the poem that stays with you that day. Each day I carefuly read this fragile book of poems and read into something I didnt notice the first time I read it. I highly recomend this book of poems and artwork. Rob S.

Thought Provoking
This is a book that will make you think. There are many inspirational books on the market, and there are books
like this one out there. The difference here is that the
author has shared her personal spiritual journey with you in
such a way that it makes the whole experience more believeable.
The author is humble and amazed at the experience of having
written this book--that she could write a prayer to God and that He would answer back. The words in it are written in such
a way that it is very easy to understand. The book tells of
how powerful we are with prayer and touches on other subjects
that are interesting. This is a book that is not of the general
spiritual genre---sweet and boring. You will read this and
not be able to put it down, because it will definitely get your attention.

wonderful book!
This deeply moving accountof the authors' personal story punctuates literal conversations with God. This book touches the reader on so many levels, that you'll find yourself re-reading it many times and recommending it to friends.
Heartfelt and inspiring!

Lovely Inspirational Text
IN HIS GRACE is indeed at the very top of my list of books with a true and divine message. The author, as she speaks with God and He to her, makes us feel the spirituality of our being. How beautifully written and masterful in a very down-to-earth 'heart to heart' with our Heavenly Father. This book is an 'easy read' and I find myself referring to it over and again as I seek guidance in my daily walk with God. His grace is everso amazing, and this book reminds us of that.

The "Space" Between Us
Every turn of the page offers another peek into the mind of a 13-year-old girl named Mia. She sees colors related to numbers, letters and sounds but has kept this a secret ever since she was little and realized that other people do not see things the same way.

Once she finally admits this to her family, and after she sees a series of doctors, she realizes there is a name for her condition: synesthesia. This eye-opening book accurately depicts the condition, explaining how it is different for those who have it (called synesthetes) and that it is not a disease so it is not "catching" nor can it be "cured."

I was truly moved by Mia's story and Mass' writing. I -- a well-read grown woman who rarely if ever cries while reading books, listening to music, or watching television, movies, or plays -- cried in the middle of a store while reading this book.

If you are a pet owner or sensitive to animal storylines in books, you 1) will need Kleenex; and 2) should not read full reviews or summaries of the book which spoil the ending.

If you enjoyed this novel and wish to further your education / read more stories for children and teenagers about afflictions, I highly recommend Multiple Choice by Janet Tashjian and Kissing Doorknobs by Terry Spencer Hesser.

i LOVED this book!
although i'm older than the average reader of this book - i thought it was excellent and really enjoyed the creativity and humor! i'm buying it for every young girl i know. i even bought it for my five year old niece - although she'll have to wait awhile to read it! thank you Ms. Mass for a very meaningful reading experience for all ages!

An Amazing Book About An Extraordinary Topic
This book is absolutely one of the best books that I have ever read. It is about a 13 year old girl named Mia. She has been keeping a secret from everyone in her family for her whole life. She is able to see letters, numbers, and sounds in color. She thought she was the only normal one in her family until she learns that she has synesthesia. Prior to reading this book, I had never heard of synesthesia. Now, I know not only that I have synesthesia, but that there are many others that have it as well. I am very glad that I found this book because I have been able to learn about synesthesia and be aware that I have it. Wendy Mass is an amazing author and I can't wait to read her next novel. This book is great and everyone should read it.

The Little Man and the Moon
This is a terrific book for little people. It has nice chunky pages with wipe clean surfaces and it contains eleven descending graduated cut-outs of bright yellow crescent moons that figure creatively in the imagination of a small boy not so anxious to go nighty-night. The simple drawings are cute and colorful and filled with fun adventures. The simple text is lively and leads a little one patiently to slumberland. It's a very dear book any child will love. Be advised that it does have a wire binding that I find to be its only fault and that a small one.

Awesome!
This is by far our daughter's favorite book, ever since we got it for her at 1 year old (she is 23 months now).

Buy it while you can - our local bookstore told us today that it has just gone out of print. Hopefully not true, but if so, snap it up now.

Our favorite
As an infant my son would go to sleep to the gentle text of this book. Over the years he would participate in the reading of the story. ----Now he reads it to me. Amazing!........I do believe we will be reading this story to grandchildren.

NiM's HoMe AwAy FrOm HoMe
This book is a book that you should read if you didnt get to yet. If you didn't I will tell you only a little bit of it because I don't want to give the whole story away. This book is kinda about a girl named Nim she lives on a island with her Dad she dosen't live with her Mom because she died when Nim was little. Also Nim lives with animlas on the island but I can name them all. If u haven't read this book and you want to all I'm going to say is you will love this book. If you like to.

One of the best books I have ever read!
This was an outstanding book. I enjoyed reading it greatly. I would deffinately read it again and recommend others to read it. I was very unique and interesting, a book filled with adventure, excitement and love. It's very descriptive and well written. It's about a girl whose father goes away at sea, leaving her alone on the tropical island where she lives. She takes on a lot of responsibility but also enjoys spending time with her friends. I loved the book and the next time I go to the library I am going to look for another book by Wendy Orr, the same author who created this wonderful story.

Sigh, what a great book!
This book is so great -- sweet, fanciful, imaginative. A great book for the summer. Super great book for people who like oceans and heroines, and adventure stories. Fabulous.

The House of Yes

a brilliant, twisted ride
Upon finishing The House of Yes, I decided that it was without a doubt one of the best plays I have ever read. Set in the dysfunctional Pascal home during a hurricane on Thanksgiving, the audience gets a glimpse at the incestuous relationship of twins Jackie-O and Marty, their fascination with the Kennedy assasination, and what happens when an outsider (Marty's doughtnut shop worker fiancee Lesly) is thrown into the mix. Wendy MacLeod has written a brilliant play and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good, black comedy.

Completely Twisted
I read this book and was completely thrown from my seat. If you like the utterly messed up than this is your book. Jackie O. is the best character I have ever encounterd in any of my reading escapades. You almost want her to get what she wants and that is why it is completely twisted.

SICK,TWISTED,HILARIOUS DARK COMEDY
One of the funniest things I've ever read, this is a pretty tragic dark comic play about a young woman who is obsessed with Jackie Kennedy to the point of being called "Jackie-O".

Hilarious, strange, sick and wrong...but ultimately wonderful.

Rubbed some people the wrong way.

Intriguing
Having read many accounts of the Royals, from the Morton Book to Kitty Kelley to Donald Spoto, I decided to give this one a try. It was an intriguing effort, being from the viewpoint of the Princess's personal staff, and not from sensationalist writers who don't actually know her. I enjoyed the book, and believe it rings of the truth for the most part, although I had to wonder about Ms. Berry's motives in working for the Royals in the first place. She had a teaching degree and had passed a couple of O levels. She said she wanted a more "stable" job than teaching, yet complained about the pay (which is notoriously lower than you would expect for those in Royal service). Why would a woman with such qualifications opt for a career in housekeeping, sponginging up the vomit of the Royal children, literally airing the dirty laundry, and overall, tolerating the temper tantrums of two overprivileged people trapped in a marriage from hell, who feel just "Royal" enough to take it out on the staff? One could almost surmise that she took the job out of curiosity, and then just cashed in at the bitter end. It does seem that there was a bit of a race to get it published: in the Introduction from the publisher, they mention that in their hurry to get the book to press, nothing was altered in Ms. Berry's original manuscript, and there it is, typos and all (not too many, though). The book comes across as an honest, simple account, with just a touch of haughty opinion on the part of the housekeeper from time to time. My favorite passage was the one where Ms. Berry says that in spite of all the screaming fits Diana got into with some of the staff, she never got into it with her. Ms. Berry says, "I think she would not dare" because the Princess knew that it would not be tolerated. I had to chuckle, because I think Diana most certainly WOULD have dared, but the housekeeper was just lucky enough to have missed out on such a tirade. All in all, a quick, entertaining read. Even though it's not currently available from the publisher, your library will surely have it (that's where I picked it up), and it's probably better that you just borrow it, rather than spending any money on it.

An insider's story
I bought this book several years ago and have just re-read it.

It's an interesting look at life inside the Royal Family. Well, at least one part of it. The self-centeredness of Prince Charles is not surprising. He expects every whim to be catered to without question and immediately. He comes across as very spoiled and out of touch.

Princess Diana is another matter. Her instability is so apparent. It is too bad that she did not get professional help.

The last sentence, "But where is it all going to end?" is sad when you think about what happened to Diana.

The author doesn't take sides, but has given us a good look into the private lives of a very unhappy family.

Very insightful.
It is interesting to get the observations of the woman who lived in Diana's house for years. I have admired Diana for years but now feel there is so much that we don't know. She could be quite spiteful and hateful. It is important for this side of the story to get out. I still admire her, but look at her differently. She was called "the saint" by the household staff because no matter how awful she behaved in private, the public always idolized her. The media has always had a vested interest in presenting only the positive side of her. I have not been able to buy the book yet, I've listened to the tapes. Most of the revelations on the tapes are shocking and eye-opening.

This novel is wonderful. It is realistic and beautifully created. I can not wait for Wendy's next release. I am sure it will be as fabulous as this one.

Dynamite Book
I loved this book! Ms. Williams weves a story that has you involved in Dorothy's life from the 60's to middle 70's. I also loved the fact as a proud Houstonian that the book is set in my hometown. Just when you think you have the plot figured out, Ms Williams throws a few twists at you.

Simply An Outstanding Work!
This young lady has definitely woven a remarkable tale of no one knowing exactly what goes on behind closed doors. This is a really good book, and I'm looking forward to the sequel already! Encore and movie, movie, movie!

Intimate Kisses
Intimate Kisses: The Poetry of Sexual Pleasure is a lovely little book edited by Wendy Maltz, M.S.W. This is her fifth book on sexuality. She's a sex therapist and marriage counselor whose work has appeared in national magazines and on video.

Maltz says that "negative messages about sexual pleasure cause a lot of unnecessary personal suffering." She believes that understanding sexual pleasure will help people incorporate it into their own lives, while recognizing that "there are many different types and intensities of sexual pleasure." People's concept of pleasure also changes as they change.

She divided the book into five sections: anticipation and desire; self-awareness and discovery; admiration and appreciation; union and ecstasy; and afterglow and remembrance. Each section includes twenty or more poems. She includes the poetry of Marge Piercy, Anne Sexton, Sharon Olds, and Elizabeth Barrett-Browning, as well as dozens of lesser-known poets.

Maltz says that "my goal in creating Intimate Kisses is to provide an erotic, yet sensitive, collection of poems that describe sexual pleasure based on intimacy." Readers will enjoy discovering that she met her goal.

Perfect first step
This book is a perfect first step into erotic literature. Very good to share with your loved one in a self discovery journey. I suggest to read this together, listening to smooth jazz and tasting a good red wine. It will take you to a journey of soft erotic feelings. Perfect gift for a good friend or relative that needs to explore his/her sexuality. Perfect companion for a short vacation, maybe a weekend escape.

This is erotica at it's best
Oh my god........ Whoa..... yes. This is a keeper. This small seven by five just over 200 pages long gem of a book. Now I love erotica and sensuality and this book is a keeper. Makes me warm just typing the review. And the lovely thing is, it is a book that a woman or a man can read and enjoy and share together as part of foreplay or simply word play.

... there are no "blurbs" or information about the contributor except Elizabeth Barrett Browings piece on page 116.

To share two pieces so you can get a sense of the genre and style:

Not only about insomnia...
When I was in my last year in junior college I stumbled upon this book in the school library while studying for my exams. I did little studying that afternoon because the stories kept me addicted and yearning for more of such varied writing. The stories collected in this book do not only wax lyrical about the romance of insomnia they speak about love, loss and loneliness. Maybe I was a very depressed 18 year old but I enjoyed one particular story about how one writer yearned for his ex lover and listened to symphonies in the middle of the night while he cried into his pillow. I've been dying to purchase this book but it is out of print. Hear me out! I need this book to keep me company through my life. High recommended for those addicted to depression.

Up All Night Anyone?
I purchased this book on the spur of the moment nearly three years ago while at college. Needless to say I was a self inflicted insomniac. I love this book and can find pieces of myself in every situation (almost)! Interesting, and sick at times, a definitive text-perhaps for the night stand rather then the coffee table.

A Great Collection
A wonderful tapestry of sleeplessness, from Chekhov to Cahill. Anyone who's ever counted sheep will enjoy this book.
