Being a Student/admirer of Carmelo Mesa-Lago, I have seen his share of great works on Cuba and Latin America. None however compare to this one. This book has information that only Mesa-Lago, the formost Cuban economist outside of the island, could present and analyze. He breaks down the economies of Cuba, Chile, and Costa Rica and explains the path to development that each country has taken. IF you are a student of economics, international relations, political science... or just intrested in Latin American issues, this book is a must!!!

Habia que editar HTML y aprenderse todos los comandos me parecia muy complicado. Ahora, hay muchas maneras de construir una pagina. Yo, que compre el MS Office 2000 Premium, tuve la oportunidad de obtener el Frontpage 2000. Me las arregle para construir un par de cosas. Luego, descubri el manual aca en Amazon, me parecio muy interesante, y sabia que MP editaba buenos libros de computacion por referencias de amigos. Leyendolo, no solo que mejore sustancialmente en mi estilo para crear webs, sino que logre aprender HTML, despues de tanto tiempo. Las explicaciones son claras y detalladas, y en pocos pasos se puede lograr un estilo profesional como el de sitios importantes de Internet, con marcos y tablas, botones con efectos e incluso Java. La teoria y la practica estan muy bien combinadas, y las evaluaciones incluidas en el CD son excelentes para probar cuanto aprendi realmente. A MP y el autor, muchas gracias por tan excelente libro.

This is simply the best book written on nonlinear control theory. The contents form the basis for feedback linearization techniques, nonlinear observers, sliding mode control, understanding relative degree, nonminimum phase systems, exact linearization, and a host of other topics. A careful reading of this book will provide vast rewards. A fantastic book.
