This leads to another mystery, and three mysterious french speaking girls. The strange lady from the ship appears again. Really Great Mandie Adventure!
"Mandie and the Hidden Treasure" was the first Mandie book I ever read, when I was ten, and I'm still reading them at eighteen. In Mandie and the Hidden Treasure, Mandie follows the treasure map she discovered in book #8 (Mandie and the Abandoned Mine) which was written by a relative named Ruby. As Mandie follows the treasure map, she also attempts to find out more about what happened to Ruby, especially since no one will mention Ruby. The ending has a surprise to it, and the book is truly an excellent read.

A teriffic early Mandie Book!
This book is very interesting. It is a complete follow-up to book #8. You cannot understand it very well without reading book #8. In this adventure, Mandie and her friends follow the map they found at the end of the previous book. They meet new people, some who help, some who don't help there hunt for treasure. To learn whether or not they find the treasure, you'll have to read it yourself!

Mandie is following a treasure map.
Mandie is using a treasure map that her Aunt Ruby who died at age ten made. Along the way Mandie and her friends encounter a drunk and dangerous man and also make a new friend. This book shows Mandie's caring spirit.

A great Mandie book to add to your collection.
Mandie is traveling with Celia and Grandmother to SenatorMorten's house in St. Augustine, Florida. Mandie is sure that it isgoing to be a boring time because she really wants to move on with theplans that she and her friends have made for visiting each other over the summer. One of the senator's servants, Juan, supposedly can't speak, but Mandie is convinced otherwise. Who keeps coming into Mandie and Celia's room and switching the clothes around? Did she really see Miss Lucretia Wham from the lighthouse? Mandie and Celia are in for a surprise.

I really liked this Mandie book. Of course I like all of them and have read each one about five times. I especially liked the end when Mandie had a fun surprise. I would definitely suggest this book.

GREAT
You should most definataly read this book. I loved it. If you love mandie than you must have this book. Mandie and Celia travel to St. Augustine florida. Where they get involved in some government buissness not even meaning to.If you like Mandie, this is a must.

Very Exciting!
This book was very exciting! I got it and finished it in just a few hours! Now I can't wait untill June, when the next book comes out. The Mandie books are the best books ever

Mandie and the Forbiden Attic
The reason I read this Mandie book was because her name was the same as mine, spelt the same and everything. But, When I read this book i felt like i was really apart of it. When Mandie meets April the discriptions the author uses makes you really hate her, even though she is not a real girl. When Mandie goes off to this school and has to meet all these new people it is scary. When she and Celia hear the noises in the attic you the author makes you want to go up in the attic too. But one reason i really like the books is Mandie's relation ship with God. the way she trust him really makes you relize it is all in his control. I told my friend about this book and she is hooked on Mandie books too. I guess this is really a review over all the Mandie books!

A Super Mandie Book!
This is one of my favorite Mandie Books! It is a direct follow up to #4, which is also great. In this mystery Mandie, Celia & Joe go back up to the attic where Mandie and Celia discovered Hilda. They want to figure out what is in the trunk Hilda was trying to get into. What they find leads them on a search for treasure. This mystery is wonderful and unpredictable. A true Mandie Mystery.

One-in-a-million!!!!!!!!!
I really liked this book because it was filled with mystery from begining to end. Who is the girl in the picture? What two couple wrote the love letters to each other? What of diamonds? I can't tell you because you'll have to go read it and find out for yourself. It's a sequel to Mandie and the Forbidden Attic. So whoever loves that book should definitely read this one.

Classy and Stylish. Puppy Book Without the Cheese Factor.
I am a new puppy owner, and like most, I am ABSOLUTE gelatin in her paws. When I caught myself getting inordinately excited that my "baby" went up the three steps to the deck by herself at only seven weeks, I decided (to my infinite embarrassment) that I needed a puppy journal. After searching diligently for about a week, and rejecting all of the silly, cartoonish and cheaply-made wire-bound variety journals, I stumbled across this utter gem. The first thing that makes "The Puppy Baby Book" stand apart is the fact that it is an actual hard bound book. This really IS something that will withstand the test of time. The artwork is clean and understated so as not to take away from your photos or entries. It is done in subtle hues with a definite art deco sensibility. There are also several handy pockets inside for things like adoption papers, medical records and even your puppy's first rabies tag. I couldn't be happier with the exceptional style and quality of this book. I would particularly recommend it for pet owners with a sense of history and an appreciation of those classic breeds that were at the height of their popularity in the 20's and 30's (Boston Terriers, Greyhounds, Afghans, etc). Finally, Three cheers for this and all those other struggling independent publishers out there.

Unique Pet Keepsake
This unique book is a must for that puppy lover in all of us. This chronicle of your puppy's life will become a treasured keepsake to cherish for years to come.

Finally--A Keepsake Book for Dog Lovers
If you have a special dog in your life, this book is for you. Its friendly, upbeat tone and beautiful illustrations help you to chronicle your puppy's first year. You will be guided toward jotting down many of the important moments in your puppy's life, from those memorable "firsts," to charting your puppy's growth spurts. There are places for special photos, even pockets for storing papers and that initial rabies tag. But more than that, this book also offers basic information such as what ought to be in your puppy's first aid kit, and helpful tips for training your puppy. It is a book to treasure. It would be a very thoughtful gift for anyone who is excited about owning a new puppy.

Intuitive Wellness by Laura Alden Kamm
The book is fabulous. Laura's teaching style is superb. This book can be read repeatedly, as you get something new out of it each time. The exercises in the book are ideal for beginners to this type of study - as well as the advanced. I highly recommend this book.

A Step-By-Step to Intuitive Wellness : Creating Welnness in
What a wonderful book. Laura Kamm was so helpful in guiding me thru this new experience. Also, her personal stories were so heartfelt and made the reading much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

THE definitive guide to wellness
This wonderful book is, in my opinion, THE definitive guide to wellness.

Ms. Kamm begins by telling readers her personal history - how she received the amazing gifts she embraces as an intuitive healer. To her credit, M.D.'s from around the world contact her when they are blocked with their patients' ailments and other health issues. Ms. Kamm then describes (in extraordinary detail) how everyone can benefit from the simple, powerful techniques she teaches - both in this memorable book and in her private practice.

The unique quality that differentiates Laura from others in her field (like Carolyn Myss), is her ability to actually HEAL our deepest wounds, not just to diagnose and educate regarding their causes and effects.

"Intuitive Wellness" is remarkable first offering. This reader hopes that "IW" is just the beginning of many memorable and self-empowering books from Laura Alden Kamm, an extremely gifted healer and teacher.

What Time Is It?
I enjoyed reading this book to my two young children and was impressed at the ease that it contained in the teaching of Spanish. My kids were able to grasp the language and had no difficulty in learning it. Not only did I enjoy the book they did. Even though it's written on a Pre-school level, I am able to refer to it from time to time and I too am learning the language. I have read other books by this author and will continue to build my library with her books. I am glad to be able to learn Spanish myself, and have my children enjoy learning it to.

My son's new interest--Spanish!
Got this book because my wife and I are always on the lookout for answers to our son's questions and his interest in "story-time." I could never have anticipated the spark of interest that this book brought in learning about another language (our son has a buddy next door who speaks Spanish & English). The best books we find are the ones with color and great characters, and this book has both. The ideas are conveyed with fun and the results are very good. We have since picked up several more of the books in this author's series. The books are sturdy, which is good because they are carried everywhere by our son. His buddy next door has borrowed them. Great teaching tool!

Fun for kids
Great for anyone teaching little kids english and spanish and helping them learn the importance of time.

Amber, a Very Personal Cat and Conversations With Amber
Published in Paperback by Parnassus Imprints (1988)
Authors: Gladys Taber and Cladys Taber
Amazon base price: $9.95
Used price: $42.35
Average review score:

Anyone who is a cat lover will love this book...
and anyone who isn't "owned by a cat", as Taber puts it, will want to be.

In these two books combined into one volume, Taber writes of her day-to-day relationship with her Abyssinian cat named Amber. Taber has intuitive insights into the workings of the feline mind and through this work clearly shows how important pets can be to our daily lives and welfare. Amber was a fortunate cat indeed to have such an owner, or rather, to own Gladys Taber!

Reading this book has made me think of writing my own book about my cat, it was so enjoyable to read about her cat.

I thought of taking one star away due to some of Taber's inaccurate medical advice for cats (i.e. do NOT ever give aspirin to a cat as Taber indicates), but her intentions were good. Just remember while reading this book that for medical advice concerning your cat, see your veterinarian.

I LOVED IT!
I loved this book from the first page to the very end. It's a perfect book to read to lift your spirits or to escape into a different world. I absolutely reccomend it to everyone who loves cats.

Favorite HS Textbook
I would have to agree with the other reviewer: this book is a great introduction to English literature. It held my interest in high school, and I met many of my still favorite authors for the first time in this anthology. The only flaw is having to choose between a Hamlet and Macbeth edition... it would be well worth doing both in one book! I still give it 5 stars.

What a collection!
You could not ask for a more complete collection of works by England's greatest authors. From Shakespeare to Chaucer to Blake, this textbook has them all. There is a nice variety of genres as well, to include essays, poems, plays, and short works. Anyone who loved high school English class will love this book.
