Everyone should read this book - Including Pastors
Powerful teachings contained inside
I highly recommend this book for new believers and also for those who have been christians for a while. This book teaches in a simple, yet powerful way. It also contains questions at the end of each short lesson. This is an excellent book for personal study. I find that people even "seasoned christians" stand in awe when you teach them what you have learned about the Father, Son, and Holy spirit.
Wonderful Overview of Redemption
This mini-survey of the Bible from the point of redemption is a must for anyone's library. It brings many diverse aspects of our redemption down to very simple truths. The book doesn't intend to cover all aspects of the Bible, but only those parts that directly relate to our redemption in Jesus. It succeeds brilliantly in its attempt.

Breastfeeding: A Guide for the Medical Profession
I am a IBCLC and work in a NICU with very small premature &/or sick newborns. As a nurse I very frequently use Dr Lawrence's book when there is a conflict with a doctor over the care of our breastfeeding babies. Dr Lawrence's book is compleatly research based and written with authority --- no touchy/feely all professional. It is a great book to use to study for the lactation exam !!! Get the newest copy date you can find -- doctors respect new information.
Excellent Reference for Medical Professionals and Mothers
This is an amazing text that answers almost every question the reader or a patient can bring to the table. Easy to read with good references. This is a must have for anyone who treats lactating women. As a mother I found the book to be very helpful, as a medical professional this book has been an excellent reference when treating lactating women. Definitely 5 stars!
Breastfeeding: A Guide for the Medical Profession
I am a Registered Dietitian and have promoted breastfeeding to women for years. It wasn't until I became a breastfeeding mother that I wanted to be more informed on the subject. This book provides the how and why on specific benefits of lactation. If you do not have a medical background, be aware that there is a great deal of medical language. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Bull By The Horns
This well written novel kept me riveted to the very end...which had an unexpected turn. Well written, well thought out and well done, Ms. Fisher!
Wow, what a page turner!!
To tell you the truth I was not so sure I was going to like this but, once you get in you cannot put it down!! It was a book full of characters you can relate to and full of scenery I cannot wait to see. And just when I thought I had it all figured out the author threw me for a loop. This was one sensational book that I will read again and again.
Bull By The Horns
Bull By The Horns has fast-paced action, great characters, and plenty of plot twists that keep you guessing. A book that keeps you reading later than you know you should. Looking forward to Ruth Fisher's next one!

Ultimate Egg Book
With an elegant rhyming text and glorious full-page illustrations, this marvellous little book manages to convey it's information both succinctly and powerfully.
Birds, snakes, lizards, crocodiles, turtles, dinosaurs, frogs, toads, salamanders, fish, seahorses, sharks, rays, snails, spiders, insects, and a couple of mammal-like critters all lay eggs.
My Preschool and Kindergarten ESL students love it! I'd give it ten stars if I could.
A wonderful eggy book!
Animals that lay eggs: a simple subject but a vital biology lesson for young and old alike. Beautiful illustrations drive the point clearly and allows a great deal of discussion to flow from each page. Go learn...this is a wonderful way to approach science!
Chickens Aren't the Only Ones
Children will enjoy listening to you read this delightful book about egg-laying animals and their unique eggs. The colorful illustrations in this story are vivid and make the book come alive with fascinating detail. The words in rhyme tell this story in an informational, but highly interesting way that will attract children. They will want to read it again to be sure they do not miss any of the remarkable pictures this book offers. The pages about the octopus and insects are my most favorite because they tell their story in such a simple way. This book would be an excellent resource for children beginning to learn about egg-laying animals. I would recommend this book to everyone who loves great picture books.

Award Winner for Book Design
This book has won a Southern Books Competition Award of Merit in Book Design from the Southeastern Library Association. This award is given in recognition of the book's aesthetic appeal and design and for fine craftsmanship in its printing and binding. Congratulations to author Ruth L. Boling, designer and illustrator Tracey Dahle Carrier, printer Midas Printing, and the Geneva Press.
Great Church Mice
Ruth Boling's words and Tracy Carrier's illustrations combine to make a simple, yet powerful invitation for kids to experience the beauty of the Christian year. Most amazing are the details of Christian symbols on the mice's clothing and the facial expression on these very churchy mice. It's like looking at people in the pews I've known for years! The chart of symbols in the back is great. It would make a wonderful first communion, Sunday School, or Christmas gift. My kids love both the pictures and the text. I heard there is a matching Advent calendar but don't see that advertised here.
Five stars!
This charming book simplifies for children the traditions of the Christian church year. The delightful, rich illustrations are alive with wonderful, sensitive details. I cannot say enough about what a valuable resource this is for family and church communities. It makes all the special days throughout the church year more meaningful and more accessible to children and adults alike.

Delightful
Ms. Kocher's first book gives me everything I crave as a reader of poetry. Fearlessness, clarity, abandon, and form. The consistently elegant music of her work is so inviting I read the whole book three times in two days! It is mesmerizing. The questions these poems ask--what happens after death? Who am I? How does loss change to peace?--are the questions that make poetry matter. In a time when many poets hide behind their music, Kocher's subtle shifts in rhythm deepen the content and reward the reader with a clarity I for one have come to need. Read "Hecate in the City" and be dazzled. Read "Susan's Hair" and delight in the lush life of this book.
Breaking through
Literary jargon awash with oldprose, out of date thoughts andideas but not in Kocher's newbook, stunningly brutal yetbeautiful in it's sensetivityto a young girls past.
A Stunning and Finely-Crafted Book!
There is nothing old here--this book is all new energy, confronting a much-ignored subject in American letters: interraciality and the politics of identity and gender. Kocher can't go wrong with poems like "Braiding" and "My Mother as Daedalus" which weave humor, wisdom and irony with the skill of a five-book veteran. I'm looking forward to the next one!!!

180 degree turnaround in 1 week!!
Got this for my 9 yr. old granddaughter. We were spending 4 hrs a nite on homework, her room was a disaster area and she was on a continuous restriction for her mouthing back and attitude. Knew something had to change. Wrote up the behavior plan based on this book; She actually liked the plan. Daily rewards and punishments, no more restrictions lasting days or a week, and privelege and money chips for good behavior, homework done in 1 1/2hrs and room straightened, dog fed, table set, coat hung up, etc every day. Amazingly within a few days, everything done as above! Her room is straightened with bed made and everything off floor in about 4 minutes(allowed 10 min). Homework always done without any hassle as soon as she comes in! Guess what she bought with her first savings? An ORGANIZER! Cannot praise this book enough! If you follow her steps and stick to the program yourself, you too can have amazing changes in your child. Her parents and I were so pleased and amazed with the change. I just wish I had had this book when my daughter was little. Would have made life so much easier! Every month or so, we reevaluate her program and make small changes on problem areas and that's about all the extra time needed. On the weekends, instead of homework, she straightens her closet or drawers or bookshelves. I showed her teacher the behavior plan and this book and she made copies of it for herself and other mothers when they are having problems. It will save your sanity and family and give house control back to you!
The manual you said you never got when you became a parent.
This book is absolutely readable! You learn real-life approaches to dealing with your kids! This is not a book of psycho-babble.
Dr. Peters is wonderful. She saved my family and my sanity.
My husband and I have been married for five years. He has 3 children from his first marriage and his ex-wife is the classic "emotionally needy parent" plus she is having problems with alcohol abuse. When we had visitations with the kids we would have an adjustment period of 2 or 3 days. After that their behavior would usually mellow out and the rest of the stay was okay. Recently DCFS stepped in and ruled that the children were no longer safe in her care and turned them over to my husband and I. The children are 14, 12, and 9, plus they have a 3 year old half sister that was given into our custody. Our house has been a combination zoo and war zone since they arrived. My husband and I were at the end of our ropes when I found this book. She has been the answer to my prayers.

Educational, Colorful, Fun
The Dooley Family is a very educational and informational book. It is the small child's guideline to getting along with siblings. The pictures are very original and the activity at the back of the book is just wonderful for the child who wants to learn and play at the same time. Fill in the blanks is a good way to stimulate the young mind and enhances memory of what has been read. This is a clever and fun way for parents to teach their children family values and how to get along with each other.
FANTASTIC CHILDREN'S BOOK
Easy to read and the brilliant colors and illustrations keep their attention while the words teach a lesson of sharing and respect. Love it!
For Parents and Teachers
This book is an attention getter. It's colorful and it keeps your attention from cover to cover. The characters are warm and wonderful. Thou this is a children's book we can all learn from it. It teaches about love and family, and that its alright to disagree. Each of my grandchildren will receive a copy from me.

Our families 'cookbook bible'
When in doubt you can always trust this cookbook to detail the variations of a recipe or give a broad chart to reference cooking times. The format is easy to use yet very detail oriented when appropriate. My mother's original 1953 copy is still used, each of her children have a copy and all of those copies are aging gracefully (right along with us!).Timeless.
Best cookbook written
I always say it. If I could have only one cookbook in my collection (and I have dozens), it would be this one. I learned to make most of my basic recipes from this book, which continues to be useful day in and day out. I have an older 1950s version, and it takes me from basic recipes to old fashioned ones that are rarely made anymore. It is a real shame it's out of print, since it's easily one of the best basic cookbooks around.
One of the old time great cookbooks
It's really too bad that this cookbook is now out of print, as this is one of the great ones. This cookbook takes us back to a time when cooking was all about taste, with little or no worries over fat, or calories.
Many of your old favorite recipes will be included in this volume...probably where your mother or granma found them in the first place.

Ruth Sova the Healthcare Groundbreaker
Over the years I've found Ruth's books to be beyond informative. She is a groundbreaker in her field and no healthcare provider should be without her reference material. Her discoveries in the field of fitness, health and healing are a "must know" for healthcare professionals.

This would be an excellent book for a group bible study. It will help to anchor your personal/spiritual identity with solid explanation.
This book is for the baby Christian and for any pastor at any level.
Find out who we, humans, are and who you are and what your purpose is in this life. Get to know God and the bible in a much deeper level.
If you're a Pastor, get this book and teach your people about God and the Bible and where they fit in this world.
I also recommend "Secrets of the Vine" by Bruce Wilkinson. This book will change your life and move your forward. Great for someone who feels that life is a struggle.
