An excellent book for children, and especially girls.
My kids have the entire 2-5 yr old set of Me Too! books and we are now beginning our collection of the older age books. These are very well written Bible story books that my children choose to read again and again... and I really like the values my kids are learning. "More Than Beautiful" is the story of Queen Esther, from the time she came to Persia until the Jews are saved from genocide. The great thing about this book is it doesn't just tell the story, it asks, "what would you do?" And it emphasizes that Esther's faith, wisdom and courage made her truly beautiful.

Mrs Mayo's How to Make a Wedding Cake

This is a MUST-HAVE for new cake decorators-
I bought this book when I was first learning cake decorating and it is the ONE book I would not be without. It is the most essential book I have found for learning. It includes most of the fundamental basics of tier cake construction that the others leave out. This woman shares her many years of experience with the reader in an easy to understand fashion, and it takes you from the very beginning to the very end. Like planning the design with the bride, how many servings, etc. And it ends up with transporting the whole creation to the location. These are all areas that you can really benefit by learning from someone else's experiences and mistakes. The basic elements of planning, baking and construction are covered in detail here. There are plenty of recipes, serving charts, and diagrams. Actual cake designs are not covered, because as we all know there are a million and one other books out there full of pictures. Instead, there is a section that helps with design placement, execution and proportion. This book is mainly what you need to fill in the holes that the decorating books don't teach you. Alot of common sense and basic tips, gleaned from a wealth of experience in the cake decorating industry. If you really want to learn how to create wedding cakes, this is the best eleven dollars you will ever spend!

Troubled family members deal only with their own projections
Family hypnotherapy is the best way to get to the unrealistic perceptions, expectations and interpretations of family members. To help them accept reality and work towards change from it, hypnotherapy puts each family member in touch with what they would want from each other. It also allows them to "experience" in their mind what it would be like to relate to the real siblings, parents or other relatives.

Methods to use this approach in family therapy are given, together with many examples of "recovering families." And the time advantages of dealing with families in this manner are exemplified with transcripts from actual sessions

One of the Muse's most solemn, sublime panoramas
This is one of the most evocative, powerful collections of war poetry since those penned by Britain's soldier-poets of the Great War. Throughout this volume we find anew the mysteriously beautiful and tragic collision between war and the Muse, and the haunting elegies that such violent encounters leave us with. Serious readers of poetry will find themselves taken on a journey spanning four decades, travelling down passages as ominous as Dante's inferno, reaching places of the human heart which resound with visceral and imagistic power.

Two Women's Reflections
Deep, insightful, and surprisingly familiar, this book of poetry speaks to the wonder of life and the passing of days. Esther shares her memories in such a way that the reader can identify similar moments and thoughts in her life, and become one with the message. Fluid images and bright recollections dance through the words to the reader's eye, mind, and heart. A wonderful book to read by a fireplace or curled up with a warm cup of coffee, it is to be enjoyed again and again. Quite a lot of thought packed into the perfectly sized book of poetry. Recommended for serious poetry lovers, weekend relaxers, and the person with only a little time on his hands.

Beyond the Fluff
I can't tell you how much this book has changed my life. I've been a therapist for years and a friend of mine has begged me to read this book. I despised psychobabble-fluff. After this book I know why! It's a bit difficult to understand particularly if you're not familiar with the Orthodox Church but don't let that scare you off! It's well worth the struggle!

Outstanding!
This is the Spanish version of Passage to Freedom, a 30-page picture book. A remarkable and inspiring story of a Japanese diplomat who disobeyed his government by writing hundreds of visas to Jewish refugees trying to flee Lithuania. With compassion and courage, Sugihara places his own future in jeopardy to save others. Excellent! Don't miss the afterward to see what happened to the Sugihara family.
