A wonderful resource!
I bought this book to help me choose furniture for my own doll's kitchen. I am very pleased! The large, detailed pictures tell you more about doll kitchens and full sized kitchens than books about historical interiors. If you are planning a victorian dollhouse, skip the history books and get this one instead! My only disappointment is with the title. It really should be "Doll Kitchens, 1860-1980" because the information pre-1860 was scanty. The author covers those sixty years too quickly, then goes into great detail about the 1860's onward.

Dreams and Dream Groups: Messages from the Interior
Published in Hardcover by Crossing Press (1988)
Author: Eva Renee Neu
Amazon base price: $21.95
Average review score:

Dreams R Us
"Dreams invite us to respect ourselves and others as their creators. They reveal the complexity and artfulness of our inner selves," writes Neu.

An unusual and original book, DREAMS explains what dreams are, how to experience, remember and interpret them. Neu suggests gathering a group of people to meet regularly to share dreams.

"The group, by sharing our interest in what is going on in us, tends to give us a positive sense of ourselves." Neu goes on to tell how to choose people to form a dream sharing group as well as how to provide an appropriate setting, how to guide interactions, and how to analyze dreams.

This is a fascinating little volume, well-organized and easy to read, with 10 conversations from active dream groups to illustrate the process.

Great concept, a little overstimulating
I like the concept of this book very much -- the tabs cue the baby to the key point on the page and help the baby learn to turn pages (although my 7-month-old can already turn pages). Overall, I like the book, but I have a few criticisms: (1)There is too much going on, so it's a little overstimulating, especially if your baby is tired; (2) With some pages, you see more than one animal, so it's a little confusing what to focus on (and therefore which animal to associate with the words); (3) The text could be improved (it would be nice to have text with a little more rhythm or consistency to reinforce the associations). Nevertheless, an alert baby (who is not too tired to handle all the stimulation) will enjoy the book.

Eva Hesse:a Retrospective: Exhibition catalogue
I saw this exhibit at Yale University, and it blew my socks off! The work depicted in the catalogue is well documented, and allows you to see the progression Hesse's work underwent during her short life. This is a book that I have treasured for a long time, and that I am sure I will continue to treasure.

Excellent
Not only do I feel that the author gave a clear and unbiased picture of Eva's life, but in the reading of this book, I was inspired as a theatre artisan myself. Eva is an important yet often overlooked historical figure, and I am recommending this book to all of my theatre friends. Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant.

Gives good insight into Evita's inner life.
This book provides the emotional component that all other books about Evita lack. Yes, all the other books can give you endless detail about Eva's life, but none leave you feeling like you've just met Evita. For an insight into what went on in the heart and mind of this incredible woman, I highly recommend this book!

Informative and Interesting
I got this book from the library along with about 20 others for a research project on Eva Peron and her links to the women's movement/feminism. I started skimming and ended up reading every word. Carlson demonstrates a strong command of information, along with a gift for writing that makes it all very interesting to read.
