Transportation Economics and Policy
An excellent choice for anyone who is interested in transportation. The essays range from issues related to developing countries to those that are pertinent to the US. While this is not exactly a beginner's book it is very easy to read with some background in economics or engineering.

Voices crying in the wilderness
It is a pity this work is out of print, for it is, along with Soren Lovtrup's Darwinism: Refutation of a Myth, one of the best critiques of Darwinian theory by a professional in the field. Now that the developmental tradition is resurfacing in the age of the genome, these clear warnings of the difficulties of theory are useful for putting the issues of evolution in perspective without the confusions of more popular anti-Darwin tracts. The book also contains invaluable historical commentary on many aspects of the shadow history of Darwinism.

extensive coverage of topic
This book is divided in 7 chapters. In the first one, the author provides a description of the allies and enemies of Egypt; this takes account of the Nubians, Libyans, Bedouin, Hittites, Persians, Sea Peoples, Greeks and Romans. The next chapter depicts the numerous weapons, used in Ancient Egyptian times (such as maces, spears, axes, knives, bows and arrows), as well as the military equipment (shields, armours, chariots) and the materials (stones, flint, copper, bronze, iron). The third chapter presents the 9 gods of war Amun, Anhur, Bes, Montu, Ptah, Sekhmet, Set, Ra and the Aten. Chapter four deals with the structure of the army, the training and work of a soldier. It also informs the reader of the dangers and drawbacks in existence to a soldier. The fifth chapter details defences, fortifications and siege warfare, while the sixth one gives details on the various battles and campaigns that took place from the Predynastic period to the Graeco-Roman period. In the concluding seventh chapter, "The Legacy", the author argues that Ancient Egyptian achievements would surely not have been possible without the military. The book contains numerous black and white drawings, photographs and maps, as well as an index. Using archaeological evidence to back up his portrayal of the Ancient Egyptian military system, this is without doubt one of the most important works about warfare in Ancient Egypt. Recommended reading for the interested reader.

Most interesting view of 18th century Ireland
This is a very interesting history of 18th century land ownership in a small town in the west of Ireland. The author is a teacher and researcher whose wife is from Monivea. The book traces how land was acquired by the favored class and how they in turn treated the native Irish citizens. It will give the reader a very intimate look at life in Ireland during the 19th century and the relationship between the landowning class and the local citizenry. Anyone who loves Irish history, has Irish ancestors, particularly from the Galway area, will enjoy this gem of local history.

This is what I have been looking for!!
I have been trying to find a diet to help me gain weight and prepare my body for pregnancy. I would even reccommend it to those merely just trying to eat healthy. It has so much helpful information concerning proper nutrients, calories and appropriate food items to eat. Near the end there are menus to help you through preparing for pregnancy and throughout your pregnancy. There is nothing for me to figure out, calculate or guess. It is all laid out. The hardest thing to do after reading this EXCELLENT book is shoppng for the food and then actually making it. It really could not be easier!!

Gifts of Deceit: Sun Myung Moon, Tongsun Park, and the Korean Scandal

A Voice Crying Out in The Wilderness
Robert Boettcher's Gifts of Deceit insightfully and thoroughly documents the activities and findings of the Frazer Committee.

This congressional subcommittee( through it's 1978 report) on International Organizations opened a window on a world in Washington which many would prefer to see closed forever.

The report of this committee informally called the Frazer Report exhaustively documents and details Sun Myung Moon's role in working to shape American foreign policy. It further names a whole host of characters including American politicians, military leaders, Korean diplomats, former Japanese prime ministers, not to mention President Dwight D. Eisenhower who wittingly or unwittingly wound up acting as agents or surrogates for Sun Myung Moon and his "Unification Church".

In addition to reading like a first rate who dunnit Boettcher's book gives the reader a behind the scenes look at official Washington which to this day has done nothing about the principal findings of the Frazer Committee: namely that the Unification Church has engaged in systematic violations of U.S law. Banking and currency laws, securities and exchange commission laws, Immigration and naturalization laws and charities fraud laws.

Boettcher's book is the first book which reveals the global geo-political ambitions of the Moon organization. It is a must for students of foreign relations, students of destructive cults, and for students of the U. S. Constitution particularly those who take an interest in the first and the thirteenth amendments.

great book to understand financial functions
I read the Japanese version of this book. This is one of the best finalce books I've ever read. This book helped me to understand much better the future of financial businesses. It is especially good in explaining: what is the rationale for financial intermediaries to exist, how capital markets evolved, why corporations hedge by themselves, and how asymmetric information affects financial instruments.

Guide to Life Insurance

Never buy Life Insurance without reading this first
This book will save you heartache and thousands of dollars. Do not ever by a policy without reading it from this expert. The trick is to find an honest agent that will sell you the policy the way you want and how you want. I bought my copy when it was too late. Learn about ledger sheets, ratings, specimen policies and independent insurance policy advisors. For $200 you can save thousands. Learn all the tricks of the trade. It is not lightly read but it is easier to spend money than save it. Waiting a day or week may save you a lot. I learned the hard way, I know better now. This book is the bible on the subject. I know more now than I did but I am no expert, but I learned through him. The money you spend for this book is peanuts compared to what you can lose when it is too late. Do not read it at your own risk!
