An absolutely wonderful book! What quilter doesn't have scraps laying around that they "are going to use one day"? This book shows many ways to use these scraps and the quilts are beauiful. A real bonus to have in your library.

This is a wonderful book. I bought it because I had previously bought a stash of 5" squares and thought this would give me some ideas for using them. The ideas in this book go well beyond that, though. By simply cutting your scraps into 5" squares, or cutting a couple of 5" squares when you use fabric for another purpose, you can develop a stash that can be easily used for these beautiful, easy quilts. I recently made a wall quilt from one of the patterns, and could not believe how easy it was. Not only that, but the technique for creating four-patch units produced perfectly matched seams, something I've had trouble with as a new quilter. As some of the other reviewers have mentioned, changing the color schemes used in the book gives an entirely different look for the quilts. The other thing I loved is the opportunity for easy creativity. By rotating some of the blocks, use of color, and designing my own border using their patchwork units, I made my quilt look entirely different from the example in the book (which was beautiful in itself). I can't wait to play around more with the ideas...I'm going to try making miniature quilts using these techniques...and using EQ5 (quilt design software) to play around with the different looks you can create by rotating the blocks. This book will keep me occupied for a long time...

I love the techniques taught in this book. Simple for beginners and great for experienced quilter's alike. Have recommended it to several friends who are teacher's.

Patricia Cori's latest book is excellent. It touches on a lot of things about our world that I've already intuited, and it builds on my own intuitions. With Cori's work, I feel that the information presented is well grounded as opposed to other channeled material. My humble opinion, of course.

I suggest reading her earlier work Atlantis Rising first, as it provides a good historical perspective upon which No More Secrets builds. The best thing about No More Secrets is that you walk away from it feeling a sense of hope for the future of our planet and our species instead of despair... something that is increasingly important in these interesting times.

Simply better than the first... and it's on my bookshelf now.

I got this book from a local bookstore. Only one was available and the cover was not in a very good condition. But I find the content stunning... the combination of photographs and no faults with the manipulations/modifications done could have easily fooled many in earlier days. Today we know such mastery is possible powerful computer software.

This book eye candy to me.

Sometimes we come across advertisements (eg. posters) that catch our attention and make us wonder---"How REAL!!" and amaze us. This book is filled with wonderful pictures, carefully designed, composited, etc. with consideration of details such as shadows to make things realistic. Everything in the pictures blends well with other elements in the pictures. With the power of today's photo editing software, some of these may not be difficult to produce but for the rest, they seem like wonders to me. Imagination and skills are essential.

If you are in advertising and designing, it would be a great challenge to yourself to try to produce similar effects in the book. Or if you are just looking for a book that shows you great pictures in advertising, you will find this book to be an eye-candy. However, this book does not teach you how to produce the effects; which, I think is not the aim of the book.

I am happy to have a copy of this book.

Reading this book will make you feel happy, energized, and calm. It is easy to read and it clears your head. Never have I had this much peace of mind. If you are looking to help others or yourself, read this book and you'll feel wonderful.

This book reminded me that life isn't about the rat race. It is good to stop and take the time to appreciate those around you, to take in the energy that helps you through each day and to share the positive attitude you generate from a peaceful state of mind with others. I highly recommend this book for anyone in search of a little rest for the soul. It's an easy read with great suggestions about how to go within yourself to find peace rather than searching for it from others.

Pat Upczak takes us through the steps of the Reiki process, but in so doing, she has also opened the doors and windows to her own life. Pat practices and shares with her readers the lifestyle she ahderes to and the spirituality she espouses. This book is not only a guideline, but also an insight into a master Reiki practitioner. It is an inspiration and a beacon for all.

Why do you have only young women in you shows dancing with you. There are differnt type of women that buy your CD for their children. I think, personally that if you held a contest for a mother, as to why they allow or buy your CD for their child, you would have a larger audience. Why you ask because people would want to know! Anything that promotes you people will will listen to! I for example, am a 36 year old mother of three. Why would a person think that I would not like your music? You are a young person and if you would want your popularity to follow you then I personally think it would be wise to think not only of the young "teens" out there. I like your music, your voice, if I did not I would not let my CHILDREN buy your music. Patricia McLinn delivers another fabulous read with Runaway Bride!! I loved this book! Packed full of LOL moments, romance, and fun twists, it hooked me for a one sitting read. I'm already looking forward to the next Patricia McLinn winner!

The Runaway Bride was a prime example of what this talented writer can do.

An amnesia story where no one forgets a thing...especially Judi Monroe. An amazing eye opener. A side of Russia I never knew about, bright, colorful moving experience through 11 time zones of Russia and republics. A must coffee table title and a guide for any body who plans to go there.

The photo's are amazing, the text and the maps are very informative. Covering such a huge territory is a great job done. Best I have seen.

I did not know that Russia is as beautiful as its shown. I want to go there.

I, too, read this book in one sitting. Abramson's exploration of memory is remarkable in its ability to convey entire universes of emotion and pain through a single detail. She retrieves those details despite the risks memory must pose and the temptation to forget, and presents them to the reader with empathy -- for us, for her family, and for the child she once was. Her approach to storytelling -- through snapshots and isolated scenes -- perfectly mirrors the personality characteristic that lies at the heart of her book: what happens when narrative, the way humans tell stories about themselves and make connections with others, breaks down. I was not quite the same person after reading this book. I highly recommend it.

Deb Abramson has written what we all need to read: the truth. By turns poignant and funny, this memoir brings us into the world of a girl with incredible insight and show us how she managed to grow up. It was so refreshing to read something real for a change, instead of the slick stuff we're too often fed. I highly recommend this book.

Deb Abramson's memoir is beautifully crafted. She shares intimate family details with strong, descriptive writing. There are many well-chosen scenes and moments that will stay in your memory for a long time. When my husband and I finished chapter one, we had an argument about who was going to read the book first. Difficult to put down and inspiring to read.

This is a great book and even though it's the second book in the series, it's still intriguing. Patricia Rushford started off the series very strongly and kept it going until Book 10. I liked all the characters, including Scott who is a "tree-hugger." Even if you don't agree with his viewpoint on saving the dolphins, you can still enjoy reading about him. I also liked the fact that Scott saves Jennie because it shows she's not perfect. I also felt very sorry for Sarah because she witnessed her father's death and was imprisoned in a world of quiet. She can't talk to anyone or show any expression when her mom shows sympathy to her. Overall, I love Jennie, I love her grandma, and I love the series!

This book is the greatest ever. Jennie McGrady Mysteries are the best. Jennie is a good Christian role model.

If you want to learn how to really treat hyperactivity, the core issues and causes of hyperactivity, then this is the book for you. So many books only address the symptoms, but Drs Cook and O'Dell go for the underlying causes. And the treatments don't involve drugs, either! Kudos for your brave foray into an overworked subject using innovative and workable treatments.

This is a great book, very thorough in its evaluation of potential behavioral troubles and methods of helping to solve them. Drs. Cook and O'Dell really seem to place the children being treated as first and foremost in considering ways to alleviate their discomfort as a result of the reflex.

Their drug-free approach is simple to learn and requires only regular, concentrated effort and time to reap substantial rewards. Children and families will benefit greatly from their years of research and straightforward talk.

Highly recommended book. I look forward to getting the video!

In this book, I have found a clearly written explanation of Hyperactivity and its' underlying causes. The book doesn't pretend to be the "cure-of-the-day." Instead, it sets the reader upon a path of discovery. Discovery that can eventually stop the behavior of hyperactivity altogether by changing deep-rooted and detrimental habits. All of this in a concise, 200-page, manual of exercises, diagrams, pictures, and instructions. Quite a remarkable work, indeed.
