I feel that she is a very intelligent and enlightened woman, who has the ability to write incredible poetry. I do not though, believe that she has yet "come in to her own". Great Stuff!

Hope Taylor Mcgriff is my teacher. I started reading her book, which she keeps on a shelf in class . The book is the best one ive ever read. She is my favorite teacher (Social Studies) and is probably the best one i ever had. This is a book that eacgh story in it touches youre heart and gets inside your emotions. This is a wonderful resource for anyone who works with children (especially preschoolers!) in Sunday School, Bible School, or Day Care. The book is full of songs that teach children about the Bible. The songs use familiar tunes like "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and "The Wheels on the Bus". So, you don't have to read music to enjoy the songs! Have fun and sing with children!

Calling the Piper's Tune is a historical novel that takes place in northeastern Pennsylvania in the 1870s. The main character is Thomas Hasting, who is the operator of a failing independent coal mine. Thomas is appalled at the terrible conditions in the mine because he cares very deeply for his workers. However, his mother owns the mine and cares more about profit and her own social standing. Thomas and his mother are in constant conflict over the conditions in the mine. Thomas further incurs the wrath of his mother by falling in love with the family maid--horrors! Thomas eventually succeeds in his quest to better the mine, but at a terrible cost. This book is a delightful read despite the grim subject matter. Stetten succeeded admirably in his stated goal of avoiding the "academic preciousness" and "insufferable stuffiness" which he encountered in writings during his long tenure as a university professor. The writing is breezy and the characters are strong. The only flaws are the overabundance of exclamation points and a rather arbitrary ending. This book is wonderful. Let's hope we see some more from Robert Stetten.

Better than the Haynes manual, however, lacks in easy to follow instructions for repair and removal for most components. Gives great detail of specifications. Not a book for major repairs done by a shadetree mechanic.

Rich of details of dismantling.Good for people who love do it your self project.

Myself being new to the world of auto repair & restoration enjoyed and learned a great deal from Chilton's. Diagrams & explainations are very helpful!

Clear descriptions. Good photographic diagrams. Good index.

I wanted another book but it was great.

for anyone who owns or plans to own a early model porsche must own this book. this book with its great pictures let you get down to the nitty-gritty when repairing or restoring your porsche. the fact that it is hard to find makes it more desirable to own! this book is very typical of why chilton books are so well renown.
