Outstanding "parkay" pictorial of the "leprechaun" era
The book provided visual effects that made me feel as though I were back in "The Garden". Lazenby captured the season with key shots, statistics and critical discriptures that the fan requires with-out the opportunity to personally wittness the event. Well-done!

Quick Review
Introductory level of study. This is a very nice introduction to Leviticus. It's not too technical or advanced so that one is lost in Hebrew textual data.

The Life and Ballets of Lev Ivanov: Choreographer of the Nutcracker and Swan Lake
Published in Hardcover by Clarendon Pr (1997)
Author: Roland John Wiley
Amazon base price: $114.50

Outstanding scholarship reveals life of unknown balletmaster
Lev Ivanov has been, for the last century, a known name but an unknown figure. As fruit of exceptional research into Russian archives, Professor Wiley has produced what he claims is a `first study'--which undoubtedly it is, but which future generations of dance lovers and scholars will recognize as a major work of historical and interpretative research. Ivanov must ever remain a shadowy figure. Contemporary comment and contemporary records reveal as little as one might expect about a man was only `second balletmaster'. His legacy to us, of course, is enshrined in two of the most popular ballet in the world--`Swan Lake' and `The Nutcracker'. Yet it is Professor Wiley who has now made clear the extent of Ivanov's contribution to the development and the greatness of the Russian imperial ballet at the Maryinsky Theatre. The book is essential reading for anyone concerned with ballet, and it is a work of both scholarship and artistic insights. --Clement Crisp, Ballet Critic, The Financial Times of London

Draws upon hundreds of interviews with former POWs
Long Night's Journey Into Day: Prisoners Of War In Hong Kong And Japan, 1941-1945 reveals the plight of Canadian, British, Indian, and Hong Kong POWs captured when Hong Kong fell to the Japanese in December 1941. The grim experiences of American POWs are also represented throughout this seminal military history. Starvation, diphtheria, beriberi, dysentery, tuberculosis, and harsh punitive conditions were endemic among the prisoners. Yet many of the men were able to find ways to improve their bleak existence, sustain their morale, and survive these hostile conditions. Author Charles Roland draws upon hundreds of interviews with former POWs, as well as archival material from around the world to detail and document the extreme conditions that the prisoners were compelled by their captors to endure. Long Night's Journey Into Day is an essential, core title for any serious World War II studies reference collection.

Meditations on the Christmas Story
This short book contains Martin Luther's insights into the events surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ. The descriptions of the people of the story are concise yet complete. While the Christmas scriptures are familiar, Luther's commentary makes Mary, Joseph, Herod, the Wise Men and the shepherds come to life.

Each section begins with an illustration, four by Albrecht Durer.

This gem of a book can serve as a meditation guide for the Advent season. It is a worthwhile addition to the Christian's bookshelf.

It captured the peoples dreams and hopes for equality.
I was impressed at the magnificent way that this book brought to light the struggle and dreams of the Mule Train participants. Their beleifs that what was transpiring would make a difference, not just for them, but for all of America. The committment of Mr. Willie Bolden, tasked with the responsibility to see that all went well. His determination and others that dispite several roadblocks insured all travelers were taken care of. The reporting by Jean Pond-Smith showed the realness of this movement without being bias or prejudicial. Her capture of the spirit of the travelers were enligntening and heartwrenching. This book brought home to me many memories that I had long ago moved to the back of mind. That I, along with with mother and three of my sisters were a part of this moment in history.
