An introspective story with whispers of hidden dragons
Arlene Williams' How To Be A Dragon...Without Burning Your Tongue is an engaging and thoroughly entertaining "coming of age" fantasy novel about Rozzie, a young woman who undertakes a journey that will lead her toward self-discovery and wonder. A magical, introspective story with whispers of hidden dragons about the importance of finding courage within, How To Be A Dragon... Without Burning Your Tongue is a wonderfully crafted novel and especially recommended for teen readers ages 11 to 18. Also highly recommended is Arlene Williams' Tales from the Dragon's Cave....Peacemaking Stories for Everyone (0960544488; $12.95).

In the Footsteps of William Wallace
There have been many books written on William Wallace and all provide a look into the history of Scotlands greatest hero.In the back of my mind I have often tried to imagine a picture with those written words and now the reader can get that "In the Footsteps of William Wallace". Each part of the life of William Wallace and the history of the "Wars of Independence" are described and images are provided in related photographs and maps...a most excellent book for those with an interest in this great hero!!

The Bible of U.S. Sailors during the mid-19th-century
If you were a American young lad trying to learn the ropes on a sailing ship during the middle of the 19th-century, then you would want to have a copy of William Brady's "The Kedge-Anchor, or Young Sailors' Assistant." This book was the Bible of U.S. sailors and provided simple, direct instructions on how to do everything that needed to be done on a sailing ship such as knotting and rigging, blacking the guns, and stationing the crew in various emergency situations. "The Kedge-Anchor" includes 70 rare engravings, a glossary of sea terms, and 100 pages of tables. This is one of several books about practical seamanship from the last great era of sailing ships, such as "The Art of Rigging" by Captain George Biddlecombe.

Great for Middle-school Students!
I have used this one-volume encyclopedia for the past three years in my 8th-grade U.S. history classes. It is colorfully-illustrated and well-written. Entries are short enough not to overwhelm the midddle-school student, but they are long enough to give fairly complete information. Though I use it as a reference source, many students have enjoyed just reading through this encyclopedia. Also, with its clear entries and useful pictures, the encyclopedia is a very good resource for Limited-English students.

Lady of No Man's Land
A wonderful book by a great writer of historical fiction! The love triangle is exciting, and the story of Kirsten's fierce desire to become a part of "wonderful America" is fantastic. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves historical fiction!

Review to 'Long Shot by Megan Stine'
'Long Shot' was an excellent mystery book. I liked how the three detectives got the basketball star to go along with the scouter and take all of the things he gave him. They followed the scouter around, and then...I like mysteries and I especially like this book. You should read it if your into young reader mystery books. Almost all fo Megan Stine's mystery books are really interesting and creative. I suggest you should buy a copy or check it out of the library.

One of the best books Francine Pascal has come up with.
This book had a lot of exciting things in it, not just the firey war between Elizabeth and Nicole, the love between Paul and Jessica, the love between Joey and Elizabeth, or when Todd makes a surprise visit to the camp, but how each of them cope with what is happening and how they handle their differences.
