Powerful images bring Indian Saints alive on every page
This is not your average book on Indian masters. While the introduction and biographies set the tone for entire work, it is the photos and accompanying quotes which make this book an actual artifact. The context is one of recognition that a spiritual master is not just a teacher, in the usual sense of someone who imparts knowledge. A master is understood to be one who embodies that knowledge/wisdom, and transmits this state in a non-verbal, immediate fashion to their devotees. It is this special relationship between master and devotee which is beautifully captured in the book as whole. Very tastefully done.

Everyone will love this book
I am not a sportsman; I do not ride, hunt, fish, or shoot. However, I loved this book because the stories are universal; they illustrate life and human nature. I laughed and learned at the same time. Everyone will like this book, even if you do not engage in any of the sporting activities around which the stories take place. I also like the fact that you can start reading at any point in the book--you do not have to read the entire book in sequence, although you will want to read it again and again.

Francis Crick and James Watson
Good science book on the subject, very thorough biographies of both Crick and Watson. Text is a little dry, but the occasioanl picture perks it up. Illustrations are in black and white. I would recommend this book to the 7th grade up, and will include a recommendation for the teachers as well.

This is One of the Best Math Textbooks I Have Ever Had!
I really enjoyed this textbook. The authors of this book really did a good job making you enjoy math. I used to hate math, but this book was an exception. They greatly explain theorems and other things so you won't get confused. One way I liked this book was its many math related photos. Also if you are confused on a lesson they have answers in the back in the book to help you to check your work or give you answers to things you are struggling in. They also have in class lessons so you can understand the concepts you are about to learn in the lesson and homework. They also greatly explain how to do proofs, and everything that involves triangles and trionometry to statistics and functions. They give you reviews and self-tests with all the answers in the back of the book so you can master the information you have just learned in the chapter. Also, I recommend this to anyone who loves math, anyone who is ok or great in math, or anyone who justs wants to learn trigonometry. Finally, all the teachers I have ever had me use UCSMP this book have always loved the books, the material that the studnets grasp easily, and the benefits that the book gives over other textbooks.

This is REAL!
This book is amazing! I purchased it when I was a junior in high school and continue to reference it to this day (I'm 27 now)! It simplifies everything from credit cards and car insurance, to how to find an apartment and set up a budget. A must have for anyone who is about to go out on thier own. A great gift for that hard to shop for teen/young adult!

Well, since no one else will write a summary on one story...
I read the story 'Campfire' it really made me think, that was a really sad story, and the basis for plot was good. I also read the story 'Computer Glitch' That was wierd, I thought it was pretty cool anyway. I read this book because I had to read a short story and summarize it, but the book in gereral was great.

Very handy
If you like the moviestars of the eighties and nineties, this book is a must-have. It has short, simple, but very complete biographies of many popular moviestars. Also, a handy filmography. In the biography you`ll find comments on some of the movies - and tv-shows - your favorite star was in. The pictures inside are black and white, but usually very nice. Everything is in alphabethical order, so it`s very easy to find who you are looking for. If you like movies and moviestars you should order this book RIGHT NOW!
