Dr. Henry has written a great book for men and women! This resource answered all of my questions and gave me answers to questions I didn't even know I had! It was extremely helpful...tells the history of cosmetic facial surgery as well as gives insights into emotional and psychological reasons it is "OK" to go ahead with cosmetic procedures. It thoroughly made me aware of all of the various procedures done today as well as what to expect from each one - costs, recovery time, etc. After reading this book I felt very comfortable with the information and am now able to use it to make some decisions about myself. If you are thinking about any type of facial cosmetic surgery, this book is for you!

After reading "The Feel Good Handbook" (that's MSG FREE's - New Title) I realized how TOXIC I was. I started to clean out my system according to the books guidelines and "hidden sources" lists! This book finally opened my eyes to what was causing a huge amount of problems I was experiencing. Headaches, stomach problems, sleeplessness, anxiety; I thought I was going to have a heart attack once! My doctor was treating me for "stress" related disorders and I was better, however continuing to suffer only milder symptoms.

After reading the book, I carried around the "hidden sources list" with me when I went shopping. It was amazing how many of the items on this list appeared on packaged food labels! Even "fresh" items like cheese and dairy products! It took a few weeks to see improvement because we had to sort out the good from the bad in our cupboards following the books advice. Once we did, not only did my headaches and bellyaches go away, so to did my husbands! I was shocked and amazed - "one ingredient" could cause so much pain. This book is a must buy if you are MSG sensitive!

I have read this book and find it to be one of the most comprehensive books on the subject. It develops the subject very gradually and provides solid material for understanding e-business for small companies. It provides nice and useful examples and case studies that help the reader to understand the nuts and bolts of e-business for small companies in the global market. I recommend it as the first reading on the subject to readers interested in IT and international business for small companies.

Twan Leenders has used his extraordinary knowledge and cool wit to create what is truly a revised Bible for the herpetological world. I recently ventured to Costa Rica on a field expedition in attempts to create an inventory of species in a certain area of rainforest, and had Twan's book with me 24/7. Not only is the information detailed and well-thought out; it is interesting to read and inspiring to the naturalist. I have had the pleasure of meeting Twan Leenders and can say with all honesty that he is one of the most respectable and knowledgable herpetologists in the field. Thank you Twan for your talent and depth of character, and for understanding and promoting the integrity of our living resources.

Finally! After all of these many many years there is a book that helps identify amphibians and reptiles in the field in Costa Rica. Costa Rica has become a very popular destination for eco-travel and research, yet there was previously no guide book to the more common amphibians and reptiles. Until now, one had to be content either with German Language books on all of middle america (well done though they are) OR dichotomous keys to specific taxa, or keys to some of the regions of the country. Worse yet, one would have to carry around in the field a complete library of orignal taxonomic descriptions. None of those options really worked well for most herpetologists and even less effective for the casual observer on eco-tour.

This book does not attempt to cover all of the species of amphibian and reptile in Costa Rica, but does cover the commonly seen species, and many others. I have already used my copy to identify some of the lizards I photographed in Costa Rica several years ago. It is a welcome addition to my library and I am sure that I will use it with much regularity.

One thing is oddly missing from this book. There are no range maps for the species covered. The distributions may be discussed in text, but a nice map illustrating where each species is known to occur would be very useful.

This book is not intended for the serious field herpetologist likely to encounter rare or new taxa in the forests of Costa Rica. It is intended for use by those who see an interesting lizard or snake along the trails of Selva Verde and want to know what it is. Anyone in need of an absolutely complete guide book to all of the known herpetofauna of Costa Rica may need to wait either for the second edition, or for Savage's book. Personally, I am enjoying this book now AND looking forward to the others (and even considering learning to read German for Gunther Kohler's books).

For the compact size it has good info...mostly on attractions, but no advice on resturants and hotels...

Skip & Chippers verdant description of Costa Rica leaves one yearning for more. As a former resident I can attest that their personal observations are accurate and correct. It's a great book!

Jungle Paradise, Almost by Skip and Chipper Carey took me on a wonderful visit to Costa Rica without leaving my living room. Their vivid descriptions of daily living; methods of transportation, the citizens, flora and fauna of the jungle, wildlife, and the ocean and tidepools transported me into their home away from home. Their personable narrative of exciting adventures, and refreshingly honest descriptions of interactions with friends and neighbors showed the authors' delightful outlook on life. Jungle Paradise, Almost made me want to visit this beautiful country. Read this book and let's go there!

Esta escrito en un lenguaje simple y ameno. Estan enfocados con claridad los puntos mas importantes, tanto para los principiantes, como para los que tienen alguna experiencia con estos equipos. Abarca desde conociones basicas como uso del calendario, contactos y demas, hasta manejo de internet, mails y algunos consejos para hacer nuestra relacion con estas "pequeñas", mas facil. I only intended to read the first few pages and ended up reading the whole book in one sitting. The writing is fast paced and easy to read. The story is gripping. It is the kind of book that will change the way you look at life.

nan goldin is, no room for a doubt, the greatest photographer of our decade. no one like her can capture the way modern life can be odd and beautiful at the same time. this book contains some of her brilliant artwork, the quality of the photos is really great, and besides, its less expensive than most of her books, and as good as most of them. its great to find another excellent book of her. you wont be dissapointed, believe me! you have to see it for yourself!
