Life at it's simplest
Edith Ann is charming. With the simplicity of a child, she faces fears that we all deal with. When I feel that I am losing any part of my childhood, I reach for this book. You should too.

Life's too complicated...Read this!
This book tells stories through the eyes of a child that are more of parables to adults that take life WAY too seriously. I've read this book several times, and each time it brings back a piece of my childhood that I shouldn't forget, and it teaches me things about life that I should always remember. Edith Ann's life thus far should be an example to our lives as we continue to complicate things and remain over-stressed...Read it!

The battles, historical figures, key events, and more
Very strongly recommended for both school and community library historical reference collections, Encyclopedia Of The Wars Of The Roses by historian and educator John A. Wagner is a thorough and informatively presented historical account of the grueling war of the fifteenth century between the House of York and the House of Lancaster that came to be known as the "War of the Roses". These were two factions of the British aristocracy who shed a great deal of blood in political intrigues and armed confrontations as they strove for the power to rule England. Entries are arranged in "user friendly" A-to-Z format giving detailed information on the battles, historical figures, key events, and more for a prolonged civil war that became a engaging subject for Shakespeare plays and Hollywood movies.

The personalities, events, politics, issues, and battles
Arranged in an A to Z format, John Wagner's Encyclopedia Of The Wars Of The Roses is a superbly presented survey of the war that took place by rival factions for the English Throne in the second half of the 15th Century. The House of York fought against the House of Lancaster in a conflict that ebbed and flowed for ten decades before achieving a final resolution. Here are all the personalities, events, politics, issues, and battles that comprised this historic and often bloody conflict from the 1460 Act of Accord, Richard III, and Henry VI, to the 1461 Battle of Mortimer's Cross, the Neville-Percy Feud, and the Tower of London. John Wagner's Encyclopedia Of The Wars Of The Roses is an impressive, very highly recommended, single volume reference that covers the socioeconomic dimensions of the conflict as well as the military aspects of this era of English history.

Learning Spiritual Warfare
I found that Mr. Wagner's book is very helpful for me. I am involved, in my congregation, with spiritual warfare and found this book to have many helpful Scriptures for a basis but also working tools for the warfare that we are involved in. If you are wanting to know how to do battle with Satan's forces, this is a must have book.

I highly recommend this book
This is an excellent book and one of many resources I used for an elaborate paper I wrote on territorial spirits. I encourage you to prayerfully do a study on this subject. I assure you that territorial spirits are as real as a heart attack and clearly evident. Missionaries and evangelists throughout the world have witnessed the power of these demons and the tremendous results when their power is defeated by nothing other than prayer and intercession.

Peter Wagner does an excellent job giving you a complete textbook of teaching and real-life experiences in this book. Peter Wagner also emphasizes the need for balance in our prayer and study when it comes to the enemy. I have found Peter Wagner to be well-balanced and yet extremely informative and targeted.

I would also recommend reading all of his other books (almost all of which I have read) which are very informative and helpful for all of us. There is a battle raging and people are dying all around us. I encourage you to look at the real-life examples in this book and learn how the enemy operates. May the Lord bless your ministry!

An excellent introduction to the Enneagram.
This workbook is clear, concise, and practical. In my opinion it's one of the best introductory books on the Enneagram available. Mark Sumner Enneagram Training & Development Institute

A wonderfully positive and useful summary of the 9 styles!
Jerry emphasizes the positive aspects of each personality type, and also covers ways to integrate and utilize the dark side in a positive way. My favorite Enneagram book!

Wagner Hits Home with Biblical Insights
If you've read Fresh Faith by Cymbala and felt something stir in your pastor's heart, if you agreed with his assessment of church consultants and experts, then this book should be next on your "to read" list.

Wagner challenges the last 20+ years of pastoral training and modeling. He claims that the CEO/leadership model is not the biblical model of pastoring, and backs up his claim convincingly. Nowhere in the scriptures does God use the metaphor of king, ruler or leader for pastors. He repeatedly uses the metaphor of shepherd. Wagner sees significance in the repeated use of this term, event to Peter, who would have related to a fishing metaphor better.

I highly recommend this book to all pastors, seminary students and professors and those who are otherwise closely involved with ministry. It may challenge you, it may cast serious doubts on your current methodolgy and theology of the pastorate. If nothing else, it will cause you to examine your own pastoral theology and decide whether it is of this world or of God's design.

Escape from Church, Inc.
Glen Wagner articulately challenges the current CEO model of pastoral leadership that has dominated the church scene for the past two decades. He calls for a return to the pastor-shepherd model set forth in Scripture and practiced for centuries by men of God who have a heart for God and a heart for His people. He sees the shepherd model in the Great Shepherd and sensibly argues that it is the high calling of God; it is the pulse, the heartbeat of our Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ who gave His life for the sheep. Glen writes with passion and purpose urging a return to a servant shepherding, compassionate caring, and relationally connecting ministry. It is the need most needed to be met in the church of Jesus Christ to restore the church to a model of ministry that is wholistic, and more than adequate to the task of effectively fulfilling God's Great Commission purposes. The book is a refreshing and enjoyable read giving a historical, Biblical but contemporary approach to effective ministry in our mixed bag of a modern/post modern world.

Fascinating
This is a wonderful book which shows how a classical field theory like General Relativity can be derived from a quantum field theory. It also points out the extreme difficulty of accomplishing this in the case of gravity and ending up with a consistent, anomaly free theory.

Readers of this book will benefit from familiarity with both quantum field theory and relativity as well as a certain amount of mathematical sophistication. Don't be fooled by the similarity of title to other "Feynman Lectures on..." because this book is based on an upper level graduate physics course and assumes the background of a typical PhD student in physics.

Deep, complex and difficult going but well worth the effort to see the elegance of the connection between General Relativity and QFT.

General relativity as a quantum gauge field theory.
Feynman gave a series of lectures on gravitation at a graduate seminar at Caltech in 1962. The lectures were recorded and transcribed by Morinigo and Wagner. A very readable introduction on quantum gravity was added by the editor, Brian Hatfield (whose book on quantum field theory and strings, I also recommend.) This is the only book I've seen which develops GR from a quantum field theory point of view. Feynman's lectures show that the GR field equations result from the requirement of gauge invariance under Lorentz transformations for a massless spin-2 field (i.e graviton). This is a more fundamental approach than the usual differential geometric framework and shows what the equivalence principle really means in terms of fundamental symmetries. Highly recommended for a modern field theory viewpoint of GR.

Sascha Wagner's new collection of poetry is wonderful!
It is not often that a book comes along that can give bereaved parents both hope and understanding. This is exactly what For You From Sascha, a new collection of poetry by Sascha Wagner, does so beautifully. Sascha's poems have been a soothing balm for bereaved parents for years, so it was with excitement and delight that I found her latest book containing all of my old favorites, and wonderful new poems as well. For You From Sascha will be especially meaningful for the newly bereaved, those just beginning their journey through grief, but it also gives hope to those farther along who find themselves in the muck and mire of the also difficult later grieving stages. This is a book to read and reread, enabling the reader to find solace, light, and love from Sascha, even in the darkest hours.

Verses Comfort
Sascha is a veteran on this rough journey of grief, her heart broken twice by the death of two children and yet even in her pain, she has done the remarkable---put together a gift to us, a book of verses that enter hearts and brings comfort. In this book through her words she has taught me, "Grief is the ceremony of lost treasure....grief is not an enemy." FOR YOU FROM SASCHA is a friend for the bereaved parent.

Very Illustrative
This is a good book for anybody looking to uncover the mystery of framing and roof building. The illustrations are good and the text is very informative. The section on roof building is well thought out. Excellent reference for a begining/intermediate contractor or a do-it-yourselfer.

Very Informative Book!
This book is an extremely well-written introduction to house framing. Each chapter is full of great, color illustrations and easy-to-follow instructions. The text is clear and concise.

I bought this book before building a redwood-framed greenhouse, and the information it provided was critical to my success. Then I bought one for my brother. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in building a greenhouse, shop, add-on room, or similar project.

Thanks to the publisher! All do-it-yourself books should read like this one!
