Written by the son of a friend, whose husband served in the First Air Commandos. While sleeping over at her house, I decided to read chapter 1. Could not stop. At 2:20AM after reading 5 and 1/2 chapters of this riveting true story, I stopped out of courtesy to my sleeping wife.

Clear, concise and forceful history of real heroes and daring military strategy. These brave men laid the foundation for much of todays fighting technology using equipment and methods that were very new and dangerous.

I highly recommend this book as a primer for the next move of God. The church is going thru a much needed paradigm shift as we enter the new millennium and Dr. Wagner is paving the way with this excellent book.

This books gives a great overview of apostles. It thoroughly and objectively examines the biblical data. I appreciated the no nonsense approach of the author. The book should appeal to many folks from different theological persuasions. This book helps remove the stigma that apostles are superstars. They are ordinary people who are "afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed" (2 Cor. 4:8ff). The book offers a convincing argument that many apostles are needed today to help "build up the body of Christ until we all attain to the unity of the faith" (Eph. 4:11-13).

What a man to admire. We should all make a pilgrimage to Beyreuth to pay our lifetime respects to this great man.

I really enjoyed the way this book simply exlains exactly what is needed for the relief of aching joints. The pictures were helpful as well as the discriptions. I was able to benefit with good, lasting results right away. Thank You

This is a neat book! It starts out with a chapter about Barbara Kingsolver, quite chatty and very interesting. And then there is a much longer chapter about the Poisonwood Bible, which is one of my favourites. This chapter is quite deep and occasionally too 'academic', but most of it is clear and it has made me think about the book. I'm now reading the novel again, and I'm enjoying it even more. The book finishes with three short chapters about how people liked the novel when it came out, and about how it did so well. All of which is interesting in its own way, too. I'm going to read more of Kingsolver's novels now.

If you enjoy thinking about books, and seeing things that you didn't really know were there, and if you loved the Poisonwood Bible, I can recommend this book. The author did a good job!

This book isn't just about barns and shed; it's about proper building and framing practices for any type building. Sure, you can use what you learn here to build barns and shed-- and there are very complete plans for some lovely projects in the back of the book-- but you could just as easily use this book as a guide to building an addition on your house, or for framing a roof. The illustrations are fantastic; clear, concise, with good captions. The writing overall is very clear and understandable. I recommend this book highly to anyone doing any type of building.

I've been a huge Judge Dread fun for a long time, and I was pleasently surprised to find these books of alternate universe fiction. His meeting with Batman was very well depicted, especially when the differences, as well as the hidden similarities, of the two heros were shown. Also, their different aproaches on how to fight their common enemy is one of the highlights of the book. A definite must read to all Judge Dread funs!
