Wagner Saves Thousands of Dollars in Doctor's Bills
I purchased "How To Stay Out of the Doctor's Office" several years ago, and I am convinced the book has saved me thousands of dollars in medical bills. Wagner's book helps you to diagnose common physical ailments, and he gives natural solutions for healing. He gives precise descriptions of problems like kidney stones, gallstones, high blood pressure, cholesterol control, thyroid problems, multiple sclerosis, gout, tinnitis, yeast infections, ulcers, and diabetes. I have read some sections of his book several times, and I am convinced that I have avoided/cured gallstones, kidney stones, gout, and ulcers by following his advice. I highly recommend this book to everyone. (jsoverton@excite.com)

One of a kind, easy to read self-help book that works!
Three years ago I read "How to Stay Out of the Doctor's Office" and was so impressed with it that I contacted the publisher to find out where Dr. Wagner was located. Several days later he called me directly and asked how he could be of help. Since then Dr. Wagner has become our family doctor, and we have come to appreciate his straightforwardness in telling his patients to ask questions, to become educated in making informed decisions, and finally, to "take control" of their own health. I keep his book with me at all times and treat it as my "medical bible". Each chapter is extremely informative and I have used many of them to help family and friends with common sense solutions to their medical problems. Easy to read, its format offers the layperson a basic understanding of his/her ailment, what causes it, the conventional treatment, problems associated with that treatment, and then a "no nonsense" approach to alternative remedies that include a good nutritional program, vitamin and supplement support, amino acids, herbs, adjunctive remedies, and exercise regimens. Dr. Wagner is located in Philadelphia, PA. He has a radio program, "The Dr. Wagner Health Show" which airs on Tuesday and Thursday at 2:00 p.m. on 1540am. He has written another book, "How to Stay Out of the Hospital" which addresses the problems of orthodox medicine and offers many case histories. With Dr. Wagner's permission, I am including his office number for those readers who need to contact him: (215) 455-0717.

God is amazing!
I just read the Chinese version, and I just spent about 3 and a half hours to finish this book in the midnight. I just don't want to go to sleep before finish it, it is such a great testimoney!

Why Doesn't This Book Have More Exposure
Okay. This book by Petti Wagner is what the hottest fiction is made of. The intrigue, action and wacko plot is just what people clamor for.

After all, I have yet to read a fiction or sci fi story about a very wealthy woman who is an heiress to a fortune of a company that is a household name.

A story about this heiress arising to greatness and accomplishment that most of us only dream of.

A story about this heiress with numerous inventions and successful businesses to her credit with everything going her way.

Until some of her employees decide to take it for themselves.

So they torture and murder her.

But what they did not expect is that she comes back from the dead to bring restitution on them!!!!!

Have YOU ever read a fiction book like that?

Well, if you read this one, you still will not have. You see, this book is TRUE!!!!!

We have friends that know the pastor that wrote the forward of this book in Texas. He has since passed away- John Osteen- but if he endorsed this book, it is genuine and true.

I first heard Petti's story in a radio interview and was laughing so hard at the wacky details that I just HAD to get the book. Such a crazy story HAD to be true. Not even the greatest fiction writers have created such a fascinating and interesting story.

Get this book and read it. You will want to read it again. It is just too amazing to put down. It is an easy book to read. Lots of action and keeps your attention. ....

This book should be on the best sellers list. A story like this DESERVES recognition.

GREAT!!
This book is so awesome! If you want to read a book about victory, this is the book for you. This book describes how the Trinity can be very personal. God is not just somewhere out there. He's right here, with you, every step of the way. Jesus becomes so personal and real in this book that it is extremely touching and emotional. When I read this book, I cried in different parts. This is definitely without a doubt, one of the best books I have ever read. It is not a hard read, but just very touching. A definite 5 stars!

This Book and the Metro Map is all you need
It's the most handy guidebook I ever used. It tells you all the attractions in Manhattan and it doesn't flood you wth words. It organized into sections, so you don't have to fold the map over and over to find where you want to go. If you love to travel by yourself and you don't want to carry a big book around and look like a tourist, you should get this book.

It's only good for Manhattan though.

Throw your maps away!
If you are traveling to NYC, and spending your time in Manhattan, this is the only map book you will need. It's compact, and will fit in your pocket, and is easy to use and to read.

It starts with a map of Manhattan, which is divided into several sections. Each section has a corresponding map. When you open the book to a section, you will see some text and small pictures showing some of the highlights that you may want to see in the area. Then, the page folds out to a detailed map that is large enough to read easily, even while your walking, but still quite compact. The paper is very heavy, and after ten days of extensive use, my book has no torn maps, or even battered edges.

The back of the book has both bus and subway maps, and although they are pretty small, you can still use them to get around on public transportation. The only thing I used to supplement this book was a compass, which helped when we emerged from a subway tunnel, and needed a quick direction.

The cost of this book is only slightly more than a traditional map and is, in my opinion, an incredible value for the money. As a first-time visitor to NYC using this book, I was amazed that I never got lost; not even once!

new york with ease...
folks, this is the best idea for a tourbook/map that i have stumbled across yet. i'm not prone to raving, but this will garner praise from me until the cows come home (bearing foot & mouth) no doubt.

so, why is this so great? first of all, it's simple and well designed. the city is broken down into sections. you turn to those pages and there is a brief description of places to eat, shop, etc. the pages then open up into a map of the section with a description of major sites in the area.

brilliant! no fumbling around a big map trying to find your street. no squinting to figure out where you are. it's easy to find landmarks, metro stops, etc.

the card stock is nice and heavy and has lasted well even in my back pocket. the descriptions have been helpful without being too lengthy. and at this price, it's quite competitive with other maps while providing much more.

A Must Read for everybody in the building industry
The Builder's Revolution is a must read for everybody in the building industry. It is clear that any person or company..no matter how small or big, that does not adopt or enhance the the technology and systems described by Keith in this book cannot be sure of survival in the new millennium.

You can say that the building industry has been slow to change and adopt technology.... but the Internet is very different and will be (and already is) a significant enabler for any party (either from within or outside) the industry to change the traditional rules of the game. This will lead to disatrous results for those who are not reacting on a procative basis now!!!

A great read.... I look forward to the next one

How the information revolution will bring vast opportunity
The housing industry is witnessing dramatic changes in our customers, cultures, and business environment. Builders welcome change; they are quick to adapt. We all know that. In fact, builders are always at the forefront of some of the most inventive technologies available today. But the changes brought on by the Information Revolution are so earthshaking and revolutionary they will have a remarkably broad effect on every aspect of the building industry, from marketing and designing homes to actually building them. In the face of these changes, builders need three things: the confidence to change in response to new challenges; the tools to reorganize their companies; and a vision of the opportunity that's out there waiting for all who choose to embrace it.

It's times like these that I think we need a guide, a visionary, someone with enough foresight to predict the changes and lead the way for all builders, by demonstrating how to incorporate the Information Revolution's changes and use them to manage ourselves to sure profitability. The building industry has found a true visionary in Keith T. Brown.

Keith Brown presents one of the shrewdest critiques of market trends and one of the most accurate predictions available of how integrated computers and on-line services will be incorporated into the running of our day-to-day business. This book is a must-read. In fact, after reading it, I know you'll agree with me that there's no doubt that Keith T. Brown has his well-tuned ear to the ground... both at the job site, where he's experienced firsthand the problems builders face, and in the high-tech world, where he's sought solutions.

Using a lively presentation style, peppered with instructive anecdotes that make it clear Keith is a job site veteran, The Builder's Revolution lays out where the building industry is today and more importantly where those of us who want to succeed should be going. Best of all, Keith tells us just how to get there. The solutions offered here are practical and field tes! ted.

If you're interested in surviving the brave new world of the Information Revolution, I recommend-no I urge you-to read this book. I assure you it will be some of the most productive time you've ever spent preparing your business for the coming decades of change. Let's face it, if we builders don't re-tool, we most assuredly will be left in the sawdust of our own making.

This is the supreme guiding light for the building industry.
"I just finished reading The Builder's Revolution and was impressed by Keith T. Brown's comprehensive knowledge of our industry as it is and can be. As well, Keith's vision and contributions are most definitely a supreme guiding light. The book was excellent..."

A must-have for bay area brides and grooms
My wife and I were just married on May 13th, and this book provided us with a wealth of excellent information on wonderful vendors in the San Francisco bay area. We located our photographer (Glenn Jay Photography), DJ (Soundtrax), and many other resources here, and they were spectacular! This book not only saved us much time and work, but was also a link to some of the best wedding professionals in this area. If you're getting married within the next 2 years, please do yourself a favor and pick this book up!

By Recommendation Only is the best wedding planner out there
I got engaged last month, and one of my engagement gifts was this wonderful book. When I first went to look for a book, I did not know what to look for. This book gives me access to all the vendors within the San Francisco Bay area. I feel a lot of all the hard part of the job is done for me, and I really can enjoy the engagement. So far I have found a wonderful band, photographer, and location. As a very nervous bride that wants everything to be perfect, this has really put my mind at ease. I highly recommend this book anyone getting party or even throwing a party.

Great book!!
The pace is fast but with enough details to let you get into the characters.

My only complaint (if you can call it as one) is that you MUST read the next book because this story does not resolve itself or the characters.

Powerful characters and a lot of mystery surrounding the character Kane.

Looking forward to reading the rest of the story!!

Definitely a collectors item.
Without doubt, Kane is the most compelling and enigmatic hero/antihero ever. Scholar, sorceror and warrior, Kane wanders the ages manipulating entire kingdoms and races for his amusement.

Cursed with immortality, the only remedy to alleviate infinte boredom is court intrigue and conquest.

Karl Edward Wagner has created a character of striking contrasts in a world of medieval beauty and gothic horror.

I first read this book in 1977 and haven't tired of rereading it since. Kane makes all other rugged heros and barbarians look like flower pressing dandies.

Good as Howard, spookier than King & as heavy as Pink Floyd
Wagner's writing is so powerful that you are drawn into Kane's world so deeply that it seems you are on the battlefield in a mystical realm in a time before time...He's my favorite anti-hero.

The book Sarah T. Portraite of a teenage alcoholic was a really good book. I really enjoyed reading about how Sarah struggled through everyday life and the problems that she faced everyday. It was really touching to read about her schedule of everyday life and how she coped with a new family and her drinking problem. It was very hard for her to finally admit that she did indeed have a problem. Even her mother wouldn't admit that she had a problem. But in the end it all worked out and she got the help she needed along with a few friends!

AWESOME!
I had to read this book in Language Arts class. I thought this would be like any other book we have read, uninteresting and boring. But, I was wrong. I really enjoyed reading this book. It made me open my eyes and understand that teen-age alcoholism is a serious problem in America today. This is an awesome book for people of all ages. Hey, im only 13 and i enjoyed it!

one word- Wow
This book was AMAZING. I never would have thought it would change me the way it did. I am not an alcoholic. I have had maybe two drinks in my whole life. My english teacher recommended this book to me. I was reluctant at first, but I am so glad I decided to read it. Near the last chapter I wanted to bawl my eyes out. I couldnt put the book down. I STRONGLY recommend this book to everyone. It is awesome and diserves 6 stars. Wow.

A good read, but some odd editorial errors
This is a well-written and hard to put down history of the Bayreuth Festival. Thanks are due to Mr. Spotts for sifting through many works in German that are hard to find. However, there are a couple of curious statements that make me wonder about the veracity of the book as a whole. In his discussion of the 1951 reopening, he refers to Karajan as an up and coming young conductor from Aachen. Well, in 1942 Karajan left Aachen to assume directorship of the Berlin State Opera, and by 1951 his associations with the Vienna Philharmonic and the Philharmonia Orchestra had made him an internationally known recording artist. Hardly a young upstart from the sticks!

In the same chapter, he refers to a society that was organized around Hans Pfitzner to protest the radicalism of Wieland Wagner's productions. However, Pfitzner died in 1949, presumably without seeing the first of Wieland's stagings in 1951. No explanation is given for this statement.

In general, this is a book written by a well-informed and insightful fan, but perhaps one without a strong musical background.

Bayreuth: A History of the Wagner Festival
I consider this book to be very informative, on a topic that may not interest everyone, but anyone who is interested in Wagner and his music should read this book. The links the author makes between the Bayreuth festival and Hitler help explain why Wagner's music was considered central to the National Socialist ideology. Another book which I have read and which I highly recommend for people who do not know much on Wagner but would like to know more is "Wagner without Fear" by William Berger. It mentions the Bayreuth festival, but also summarizes all of Wagner's operas (except "Rienzi"), something which is not found in "Bayreuth: A History of the Wagner Festival."

This book has it all ... and some.
I will never forget the excitement of seeing this book on the shelf. Admittedly, the heavy emphasis on outstanding photography made me hesitant. But, having been to the Festival a couple of times (and having cut through many a book related to Wagner), I had to go with it. I was not disappointed. Indeed, I would be hard pressed to suggest a better written book on the festival, its relationship to Nazi Germany, the conflict of schools of interpretation, Wagnerism, or ... Wagner! This book sails and you are sorry when the trip is over. It also provides a serious, well-organized discussion of the development of Wagner's music and the characters who desired the association of the Wagner household. The musician, performer, historian, critic, biographer, and disciple will all be entertained.

I would give it 5 stars, if it just has more photos....
The book is great except for one thing. There are not nearly enough, or any, photo's of the inside cabin. I would certainly like see what a 747 looks like on the inside with various views of all 3 levels of the giant. Unfortunatly, the book only shows you one 1969 photo near the front of the book. That of the first
class area. Otherwise, a great book.
David Todd

A Concise Tribute to Her Majesty, the Queen of the Skies
As with their other collaborative efforts, Norris and Wagner present us with a wealth of quality photographs on the best-known airliner. More than that, the authors take us on a journey of how the 747 came to be and where it is today. Each series and variant is surveyed; the information is concise and accurate. While this book may not be the visual feast laid out before us in the Airliner Color History series, this book is highly engaging and well worthwhile to any airliner aficianado.

Fun and factual
Not so informative to bore an aircraft enthusiast, yet provides enough to ponder an aircraft engineer. This contours enough history and facts about the mighty 747 that it's worth reading twice. Ive used this book for foot noting a few aviation college classes. If you like airplanes like I do, you'll enjoy this book.

Expectations: 30 women talk about becoming a mother
I loved this book! I read many baby/pregnancy books while waiting for the birth of our daughter, and this one was definitely the most meaningful, useful, and enjoyable. The stories are absorbing and thought-provoking, and the photos are lovely. A fabulous gift for a pregnant woman or new mother.

gift for my daughter
I just bought this lovely book for my daughter who is facing a pregnancy alone at 26- Of course I had to delay sending it to her so that I could read it from start to finish- very absorbing- I hope it will help her to realize that she does not have to fit any certain mold to be a mother- This book includes 30 different profiles of mothers. My daughter's story could be #31. I think these women's reflections on what their children mean to them and the changes in their lives will be very helpful to my own daughter. I recommend it for anyone contemplating parenthood. I think it is more helpful than any how-to book could ever be be.

Highly recommended!
This book is beautiful and moving-- the voices are real and diverse, the photography is stunning, and the content meaningful. As someone who is still contemplating having children, I wanted to hear about it "first-hand," and this book gave me a lot of insights. I think it would be helpful to anyone (male or female) considering children, as well as for those who have just entered the realm of parenthood. You won't regret your purchase!
