Informative, great pictures
Kings of the Road : A Pictorial History of Trucks is informative and has great pictures. It goes back to the beginning of motorized travel and brings the reader up to the late 90s. If you get goosebumps when seeing a powerful Mack or a sleek Freightliner, give this book a read.

Revolutionized how I looked at fantasy fiction.
I first read the book when I was 10. It has since inspired me to aspire to be a novelist. I have written many short stories, and am well into my first novel, and I am still in grade 9.

KICK BUTT WAKE UP CALL
I recieved this book and I was really down on the world. I realized I was responsible for my own well being and attitude about my world. This book is brilliant at making life simple to smile everyday. I feel like I have an everyday Guru everytime I pick up the book. I have ordered more for friends and family as I want to surround myself with these type of people, daymakers.

Very Helpful
Sharp full-color pictures, colorful presentation, well organized, and informative. I'm glad I bought this book, (my first) on Lionel trains. I found my collection (and it's value) easily in the books simple format. Also includes a 19 page history of the toy's evolution from 1900-1969 which is dotted with lots of color photos of trains and advertising.

The Literati Purges: Political Conflict in Early Yi Korea
Published in Hardcover by Harvard University Press (1975)
Author: Edward Willett Wagner
Amazon base price: $31.50
Used price: $19.50
Average review score:

A well written summary and analysis
Wagner does a great job describing the literati purges. His analysis reads like a courtroom drama, with the actions of the players listed in great detail. He gave enough evidence to convince me of his thesis.

Excellent resource.
This is, of course, an excellent resource for anyone studying music or specifically Wagnerian opera. It's a compact form of the score with a book binding, which makes it inadequate for bench-reading, but is nicely compact, making it ideal for private study. All of the instrument and lyrics, though, are in German, so one may need a bilingual Dictionary onhand if they are not proficient in German, though most of it is rather self-explanatory (Trumpeten = Trumpet, Violinen = Violin). The text is also rather small, which could make it harder to read for the poor-sighted. On the other hand, the print quality is far superior to what I had expected. From what I have seen so far, there isn't a single fading or printing error in the entire book (and I understand that these are printed from a very reliable source - .... I'm very happy with this purchase.

Stunning
Mr. Wagner's epic tale of the Hero. An Archetype hero soul is reborn into an average man who cannot find anything to believe in. To tell to much is to spoil it. Suffice it to say I have read mine until they are dog eared.

Why gender equity is needed.
Parity is a priority. Or it must be soon. These authors show why a new appreciation for gender equity is needed. Why the polarity of either dominance or subordinance among males/females doesn't work. At the office. At home. On the town. Throughout one's life. This is a revised and expanded edition of a pioneering book first launched about ten years ago which sought to nurture dialogue between men and women toward a more harmonious context in which to live and work. These new pages reflect an even better understanding of the dynamics among colleagues, especially with updated observations on people of color and gay, lesbian, and bisexual people. Old habits die hard. "The interplay of gender, race, sexual orientation, and class is a reality of our society. Accepting that it is (is) necessary if we are to move on the struggle toward equity." Separate chapers examine men and women in transition, characteristics common to dominant and subordinate conditions. Relevant graphics drive home strategic points, and a terrific fold-out at the back tracks "traditional" women and men toward a common ground. From violence and helplessness to mutual powerment. Why not just pass new laws? Been there, done that. "The law and the legal process still lag far behind the values held by most women and many men. There are limits to what the laws can accomplish." That's why the new paradigm set forth in this book is so valuable. It clearly explains what the problems are, in text and graphics, then points to a trail of solutions. Get with it.
