Rob is a genius - metaphorically speaking
If you like crazy metaphors worked into the pages of a book like spillt lunch, you've got to give Rob Smith's stuff a gander. He writes well, he conceives interesting plots, and he throws it all together like a thousand monkeys banging on a thousand typewriters. I love all of his books, and seeing as I've met the author, I can vouch for his character and his good taste in cologne.

Life changes
Pamela's 30 day journey into healthy lifestyle change is awesome. She walks you through many scripture readings as you apply it to your eating habits. I found the book to be inspiring and helpful in making a change that will last the rest of my life. She helps you to own up to things that you may never have even considered as a reason that you are unhealthy(over fat or underweight). I suggest going through the journey with others who are looking to change for a lifetime. This is not a diet.

Debra Excels Again
In FOR YOUR HEART ONLY, Debra once again pulls the reader deep into the lives of her characters. While weaving romance and intrigue in just the right balance, Debra tells a story that is hard to let go of when you are finished reading it.
Debra is a master at character development--creating characters with just enough flaws to make them completely human.
All of Debra's novels do more than tell a story. They also show how the characters grow spiritually. I highly recommend FOR YOUR HEART ONLY. It is a real page turner.

Freshman Quarterback (Chip Hilton) scores big in the 90's!
Chip Hilton scores big in Freshman Quarterback. Some of the problems he faces are as relevent today as they were in the original writings. The updates are great and still don't detract from the quality and message Clair Bee originally intended. I wish I could be on Chip's team, just like I wanted to when I first read the series in the early 60's! Great Book, Great Series! Thanks for bringing them back!

Read This Book and Take The Red Pill (ala "The Matrix")
Christian Smith goes to the heart of the problems within the organized Christian church. He does more than just complain about the way things are though ... he offers practical solutions to each problem in easy to understand text.

If you are still in the organized church -- yet, you see that "the emperor has no clothes," this book is for you. It will confirm many things that the Lord has been showing you. It will give you the strength to leave the "horse and pony show" (the performance-based church) and to forge out in the land that the Lord will show you.

If you desire to meet in a simple way with other believers and develop true relationships -- then this book is for you. It will give you the tools you'll need to begin your journey.

This Author Has Gone Through "Friendgrief" Himself
It is quite obvious to me that author Harold Ivan Smith has grieved over the loss of friends himself. "Grieving the Death of a Friend" is not just a result of Smith's role as grief counselor, researcher, or author. He willing shares with the reader his personal grief, not just over one, but over several friends who have died.

Three great strengths of Smith's book are his conversational writing style, his use of quotations from other sources, and the use of his own prose to illustrate a point. Perhaps the greatest strength of the book, however, is the structure or basic outline Smith uses in his writing: Key chapters include: The Passing, The Burying, The Mourning, The Remembering, and The Reconciling.

"Grieving the Death of a Friend" was primarily written with christian readers in mind, although elements of the jewish tradition are mentioned.

A central theme seems to jump out at the reader in Smith's book: his belief in his own eventual reunion with friends he has lost. Smith does this without any apology whatsoever.

I very much recommend this book to those who have lost friends to death. You have every right to grieve, and "Grieving the Death of a Friend" will help you through the grieving process, even if you are revisiting a loss that occurred many years ago.

The Harder I Laugh, The Deeper I Hurt
This is a very good book with personal illustrations of how the authors have overcome their tragedies of life. Debra and Stan have both been through tragedies which alot of us have faced and this shows how there is a light on the other side of these situations. I recommend this book for any church library or for a counseling program. This books also tells of the funny side of life and how you keep laughing when walls are falling in on you. When you cry, "HELP, HELP" the authors show how to always keep pulling yourself up by your shoestrings when your shoestrings are tied inn knots.
