stranger online
i loved this book! it really got me hooked to the todaysgirls.com series. i like amber because she is very smart and computer-wise. then she starts getting creepy e-mails. amber suspects jake, her sort-of friend from chemistry class. jake has also been cheated on her during testing, so amber starts turning in her tests unfinished. can she find a way to solve both problems at once?
this is my 2nd favorite book in the series. it really gives you a good feel of the girls`s personalities, unlike the other books. don`t miss it!

Stranger Online
I'm doing my book review on Stranger Online by: Carol Smith. It's about these six girls who make a WebSite out of a chat room called TodaysGirls.com.It is Ambers job to make a password that only she knows. Until one day her world turns upside down.Amber goes home and finds threatening e-mails which say I'm coming.Amber begins to get very scared and courious. So if you want to find out if Amber ever finds out who is doing these thing then check out Stranger Online.

Cool but the rest of the books are better
This book is about Amber and how she recives a threat email thay says:
"You'll get yours" and she gets another one that has another threat. Even though it sounds extremely [bad] but if you think about it you would probably freak out if you suddenly got a threat email. So this book is about Amber trying to figure out who this person is.
It's a good book but if there was more presure on Amber it would have been a better book, but I still recomend you to read it.

Read this BOOK!
In "The Anointing of His Spirit," the author compiles some very powerful sermons spoken by a twentieth-century Apostle. The teachings and anecdotes in this book concerning Wigglesworth's life will inspire you to believe that Jesus is, as the Scriptures say, "...the same yesterday, today and forever." If you are familiar with Wigglesworth or you are just learning about the Spirit-filled life he led, this book will captivate you-- not with Wigglesworth, but with He whom Wigglesworth called Lord. It will encourage you to trust in the promises of God and will, through Wigglesworth's life, show how those promises have been manifested to people who believe. Let this book, yet another account of a life lived completely for God, incite in you a faith that will, like that of Wigglesworth's, move mountains.

The Absolute Necessity of the Holy Spirit
This book, which is a series of Wigglesworth's sermons, was tremendous. We are meant to walk in victory in this life and in so doing point to the reality of the living God. With God on the throne, with Jesus in our hearts, with the Holy Spirit's power and leading in our lives, our faith is no mere belief or doctrine but a powerful, living, overflowing spiritual reality open to all. Wigglesworth put no constraints on God; he accepted Him at his Holy Word and gladly received all of the promises available to us all. Trust, yield, receive the Holy Ghost, know His presence daily, follow His leading - and wield His power to bring sinners to Christ accordingly. Wigglesworth's example is to be followed if our lives are to have the meaning and purpose God meant for them to have.

This is "The Best of..." Smith Wigglesworth
Smith Wigglesworth was called the "Apostle of Faith" for good reason. This book rings with the authentic sounds and spirit of a man who stood for God in his time. "The Annointing of His Spirit" is a treasury of some of his most powerful, compelling, annointed sermons. Whether this is part of your daily devotion or you read it straight through, Wigglesworth will fan the embers of your faith into a bright burning flame! A must-have for anyone who hungers for more of Jesus.

An answer to Jonathan Livingstone Seagull?
Godhanger is a very nice novel with a subtle religious content, very different from most books in this genre. I see it in the class of C.S.Lewis' Narnian Chronicles, and perhaps (only the author can confirm this) it was intended as an answer to Jonathan Livingstone Seagull, that New-Age rendition of Christ as a buddhist bird.

Godhanger: The Horrific Story
Enter the horror-filled world of Godhanger wood. Full of blood-curdling description and malice action, Dick King-Smith's atmospheric storyline is not one to miss. The one they call the skymaster perches on his chosen branch and watches the innocent blood shed daily by the gamekeeper. A dark, unatural book, but it is not for the faint at heart. It is up to the skymaster to sve Godhanger from the cruel gamekeeper, and soon. The characters are fictional but unflinchingly real. Andrew Davidson brings the characters to life through his beautiful illustrations. After reading Godhanger , you are haunted with the imagery of this compelling read. I would recommenend this thriling book to elder, much more able readers because of very complex, and it some places, bad language. Overall, Godhanger will catch the imagination of any avid reader who prefers horror and gore.

superbly written deep and insiteful
Althought written for a slightly older crowd then his usual books Godhanger is Beautifully written, this is one of my favorite books. The animal characters are true and realistic. This book shows a very different view of life. Not just the " good versions" of of life as an animal, not all happy bunnies and no death. Though the religious overtones of this book may unnerve some people, I, ( i am not religious) thought this book was beautiful because of the good writting, clear views, and seriousness of perpose. A little bit bloody and frank for the young ones, still a good read

Answers some very important questions
I read the first 96 pages in 4 days as I was trying to find something that would help me discern the meaning and purpose of a dream I had. I didn't want to be deaf to God's promptings because I want to do His will and I needed some answers. I prayed, meditated, thought, studied the word, consulted trusted believers, asked for prayer, and tried to listen for God to tell me what to do. This book supported these methods of trying to discern God's will, but more than that, it pointed out that discernment takes time. I felt 80% sure that I was interpreting the dream correctly and proceeded accordingly. This book also emphasized that discernment is hampered in times of spiritual desolation. Good point. It seems obvious when your brain and heart are not clouded, but I'm glad I read it first, so I'll know that in advance. I wish I had read the rest of the book before making my decision, because a really great section entitled 'Blocks to Discernment', really helped me. I still learned something valuable from the dream and the book. One thing that blew me away was what the author said about prayer and fasting. The purpose of fasting with prayer is not to prove to God that you are more serious in your commitment; the purpose of fasting with prayer is to focus on what God is trying to tell you ! WOW ! I hope to find this book on sale and buy it for as many friends as I can ! It's not like we get to ask questions during sermons at church you know !

most helpful reading
I found this, as well as another book by the author, Courage and Calling, practical and insightful help in discerning some heavy choices in my life over the last two years. Particularly helpful was the "Clearness Committee" concept. My husband and I recently implemented this, and received some (hard) but excellent input from discerning friends. A great book on a most critical issue--learning to discern God's best for your life.

The best book I've read on the subject!
Smith is thorough and gives a very balanced view of discerning God's will. I highly recommend this book. It was timely for me.

no need for other diet books
This book steers clear of the high protein, no carb-Atkins-style program. After having tried that and lots of other diets I've come full circle to the low-fat, balanced diet. What helped me to start eating five small meals a day rather than the 3 big ones was her analogy of our metabolisms to feeding kindling to a fire every now and then rather than dumping a large log onto the fire which would smother it and keep it from using the log (or food) efficiently. When we eat portions that are too large our bodies store the excess it can't readily use. Her recommeded diet takes the weight off fast but it's very portion restricted, albeit balanced. The recipes were just ok. I liked to book more for its food combining instruction, meal plan and snack ideas, and eating philosophy than the recipes. Many dieters feel they already know what to eat and not to eat--it's just doing it. But this book helps to gear your mind up for doing it by providing good facts about why eating smaller portions throughout the day and the need to eat proteins with carbs is important. I liked it better than Marilu Henner's new book b/c of the diet plan offered in the book and the specificity about exactly what to eat.

Excellent resource
I have found this book to be a well-written guide for a healthy lifestyle. The author suggests a sensible diet recommending the use of foods such as whole grains and fresh fruits and vegetables. She includes several delicious recipes for healthy meals as well. I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a reasonable guide to good nutrition that avoids the trap of fad diets.

Great Book
I am a Pastor of a church in Galion, Oh. We teach devine health and healing. We believe in the miracle power of God and we also believe in 'Eating Well and Living Well".

. One of the most important things about living is living in good health. With proper eating habits and good care & excersise, there is no reason why any one should live to be a good old age (100yrs.). This book has helped me learn how to eat well and some important things about how to fight off some of the most dangerous disease none to man. I highly recemond this book for every one that can read and the tape to those who can't. It is well worth the price. Thank you. /Pastor Bernie France

It's Time to Be Bold

It's Time to Be Bold
When I first picked up this book, I expected it to be a "sugar coated" writing by one more musical artist, trying to wax eloquant, when actually doing little more than delivering a half-hearted self-gloification piece. Not so with M.Smith's book. Granted, his true talent is better captured in both his songwriting and his vioce, the book never the less delivers a well thought out message. It is clear from the book, Michael dearly loves those he sings for. His inspiration comes from God, his reward is evidenced in his acknowledging the impact his songs have had on others. While M.Smith writes about the impact, he also reminds us how music can both bring us closer to God and to strengthen our relationship with Him. M.Smith takes us beyond the comfort of being a mere listener of music, he wants us to see music as a way of advancing the Gospel but also as a ministry unto itself.

Smith makes Biblical priciples relavent to today.
It's Time to Be Bold is an excellent read for anyone who wants to believe in and preach the Bible, but feels it is irrevelant to today. Through personal stories of his own and those of his fans, Michael W. Smith creates word pictures never thought of before. You will see church as the best hang-out on earth and the Bible as awesome as any romance or action novel. The bottom line: Smith is real. He realizes that young Christians need to evangelize more than ever in today's society and that with a few basic rules you can do it. This is a must read and, believe it or not, even more inspiring than many of his songs!

A great book for reading to challenge you.
This book has many spritual messages for young and old alike. Based on some of Michael's own life experiences, he gives incredible first impressions about his experiences and touches the heart of the reader. You too will find it "It's Time To Be Bold" to stand up to face the challenges that life seems to present. Some of his experiences are near the same things I went through and can relate to. He really spoke what was on his heart and touches the reader.

Love One Another
Love One Another caught me by surprise. I was expecting something totally different like how we should love one another, love your enemies, etc., but this comic book hit on some hard, cold emotions!

Love One Another
Clean comic book. I especially liked the real life stories. My children are able to relate to this better.

Love One Another
I read all books I intend to give to my children before giving it to them. I read this comic book and realized that the author reminded me that love can sometimes be smothered by jealousy, hate, and other negative feelings. I enjoyed this comic book and will provide copies for my children and church family.

Balmond Student
Cecil Balmond is passionate and inspirational. When working with him, you know there is something amazing happening. I had the pleasure of having him as a studio instructor at Yale University, School of Architecture. Cecil believes in the possibilities of architecture and engineering working together in ways that enhance and grace both fields. This book brings his insight and passions together. I highly recommend it to engineers and architects alike.

A dialogue
Informal is a terrific read; it places me right at the table as the author engages with his architect collaborators pursuing innovative building designs. The range is fascinating, from a box shape in the Villa Bordeaux to a curvilinear form in the Arnhem Interchange to the serene and effortless canopy in Lisbon. In each project the author establishes simple initial moves which lead ultimately to new configurations and importantly develops throughout the book a rigorous basis for exploring the non linear. This is welcome in an age when so much architectural form making is whimsical. As an architect I was fascinated how this book also brings out the lyrical and poetic inherent in structure. Best of all perhaps is the 27 sectioned speculation at the end on the anatomy of form, and an insight into the structure of organisation itself. In conjunction with his intriguing earlier book Number 9 Balmond sets out a new agenda for designers everywhere, including architects and engineers.

spiral light
besides being incredibly beautiful, the book has a coherence and depth that is unlike any other - it requires reading quickly and then slowly, forward and backward and over and over...

its importance is clear

A Shelter in the Storm
I love Debra White Smith's "Seven Sisters" series. This book has a good mix of romance and suspense. The story of Sonsee & Taylor was compelling and kept my interest all the way through. The killer was not easily identified, it was a surprise to me.
I enthusiastically recommend this whole series. You won't be disappointed.

Get ALL of the Seven Sisters Books!
I read Shelter in the Storm, not knowing it was one of a series, but enjoyed it immensely. Unlike some other series books by other authors, Ms. Smith has made this story stand alone. We meet the other people in the series, whom I am sure have their own books, but this story is totally about Sonsee and Taylor. I loved the suspense, the mystery, and the romance woven into the mix. Ms. Smith juggles all these parts with skill and an entertaining manner. You'll keep turning pages to find out how it all ends. Warning though, if you read this one, you'll want to read ALL the others! Thanks you, Ms. Smith, for an entertaining (but sleepless night as I had to find out the ending) book.

A Shelter in the Storm - A Must Read
Having already read books 1 and 2 of Debra White Smith's Seven Sister series and loved them, I came to A Shelter in the Storm with high expectations and wasn't disappointed. As she has done with the first two books of the series, Debra has shown how imperfect Christians deal with the uncertainties of life and how their faith helps them to become overcomers. Sonsee struggles with her growing feelings of love for her life-long friend, Taylor, because he cannot allow himself to love her. The story is not only a romance, but also a tale of suspense that leaves the reader hanging on every word, not knowing who done it until the very end. God's redeeming love is shown as both Sonsee and Taylor comes to terms with their faith and the misconceptions about it that threaten to keep them apart.

The Seven Sisters series is wonderful...each a unique story unto itself. I find myself wishing it were more than seven sisters. There are only two left :-).

great for new converts
this is a good book for young in the Lord and for children's ministry.

From the basics to the advanced
I really like the writing style of this couple. They write with a simple and practical method. Eddie and Alice appear to be really transparent in their Christian walk. I loved the chapter on intimacy with God.

Excellent Praying Tool
I already own this book and because it is so great, I am looking for another one for a friend.

This book is a great tool if you want to grow in your prayer life and have deeper relationship with Christ.

Also great for group studies.
