Long live Adam Sharp!
This is one of the cleverest series being published for children. It is so funny, and Adam is so cool. My kids love these books - and the new format from Random House is really attractive. The artwork is wonderful, too. How cool is it to go swimming in a tuxedo, looking for sharks. Long live Adam Sharp!

How it all fits together
It is always a delight when you discover that one of your long time friends and colleagues has outdone themselves and broken through in a new "vocational" arena. Basil Sharp has written a book, THE ADVENTURE OF BEING HUMAN, that deals with the task of creating a new Story about the Earth, the Universe and everything in it and how it all fits together. He has done a great job - with a fine non-technical text that has a forthright, non-defensive style.

Although for most of us (ICA folks) there will be little totally new information, the book presents a new and unique approach that links all of reality together. This is done both with prose that is exacting and yet fresh (reminds me of Ken Wilber in some ways) and with introductory sections of poetry that breeze by. I almost never read or appreciate poetry in these kinds of books but I read and enjoyed this!

The end result is a book that can easily hold it's own with others in this arena!

A classic Jungian analysis of the contrasexual complexes
Written by Marie-Louise von Franz (a colleague of Jung who worked closely with him for nearly thirty years), and capably edited by Daryl Sharp for contemporary readers, Animus And Anima In Fairy Tales is a classic Jungian analysis of the contrasexual complexes (animus and anima) as found in fairy tales, and what these say about the human mindset and human behavior. A profound, philosophical, college-level dissection of deep-seated motivational concepts in a powerful form of literature, Animus And Anima In Fairy Tales is a welcome and recommended addition to Jungian Psychology Studies reading list or reference collection.

great history but
The 1978 publish date is misleading, the study was done prior to 1960. They should clearly state this.

An excellent book!
I am 17 and have cerebral palsy. I've known Johnnie Tuitel for many years, so I was pleased to see his books. I was even more pleased to see how his sense of humor and adventure shines through in his writing. It's very refreshing to find someone who can express the frustrations and triumphs everyone with CP (or any disability, for that matter) runs into, and Johnnie and Sharon do it in such a way that Johnnie Jacobson (the main character) still seems like just one of the gang at Gun Lake. I recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery and adventure, able-bodied and disabled alike. :)
