This is THE book on how to sharpen almost anything. I bought my copy new in the seventies and it has been my sharpening bible ever since. In addition to the tech. info, it s a really fun read about times gone by and life as a Hobo.

I just got done doing a report on Evelyn Sharp for school, and thought it was really cool that I didn't have to go far to look for information. This book really got me more interested in her life and how much of an influence she had on women in aviation back in her time. It's awesome that someone from a town near mine in Nebraska could be so famous and successful and have such an impact on a lot of people. This is a great book to read if you love aviation or even if you don't.

You get the feel of growing up in the hard times of the thirties, of a girl with a passion to fly, her continuous concern for her parents, her friends and her hometown who had supported her in her quest to learn to fly, even tho it was hard times in an drouth-stricken ag community. I cannot say enough how much I love this book! Already a huge fan of Ms. Sharp's, I was thrilled when the book finally came out. From the cover to the words inside, it is funny with a capital F! Do yourself a favor and buy yourself some laughter! You will read it over and over. And get one for every parent on your list! It is the perfect gift for parents and parents-to-be! I highly recommend this book!

I have the "vest-pocket" edition of this book beside my desk, and I probably use it 2-3 times per day. It provides the fastest way I know to look up the spelling of a word without having to interrupt what I'm already doing on my computer. The introduction that explains the logic of word division is both interesting and useful.

It's been many many years since I read "The Stone of Badda", but I can assure you it's one of my favourites -- and I've read thousands of books. Do not even think twice. But this book immediately!

My kids and I laughed and laughed as Adam Sharp and Magna Carter (great name!) tried to get Big Ben back from the Texans who had invaded London. This is a great series for kids who like spies. My sons hope to see Adam Sharp on televisio one of these days. A wonderful series.
