When Raccoons Fall Through Your Ceiling - A. Lopez
Andrea Dawn Lopez's book explains in easy-to-understand text why human/animal conflicts or situations occur, and what to do to remedy them. Anyone who's ever had an animal visitor in their home will find this book useful. As the title suggests, Andrea explains how to coexist with wildlife in a non-lethal manner. The author's affection for wildlife is evident in her warm, tender writing.

Good information
I Loved this book it's finaly nice to have writen material on how to deal and live with our wildlife. I live in the country and some people just dont understand that the animals were here first and it is our job to learn animal safty and respect and also safe ways to deal with the animals. Andrea covers all this in her book and I would like to prsonally Thank her.

Sincerly,
Julie Hanenberg

For the Love of Animals
How true this writing is. The animals are being forced out of their natural habitat to make room for humans.
I have no doubt that Andrea's experiences go well beyond what she has written about, even as a child. She has made it clear that co-existing is possible without much effort on our part.
BE PREPARED! Where have we all seen those words written before?
Although "common sense" is not all that "common", I think this book makes clear to all of us what we can do to make our lives and the lives of the animals a much safer place.

DELIGHTFUL, UPLIFTING,
Great job, what a delightful, wonderful book. I ordered one for myself, and now I am going to buy the book for my daughters and my grand daughters. I will enter my thoughts on the pages for each of my girls, an give them as Christmas gifts. I will keep my grand daughters books for a while and write wonderful things about life for them and give to each of them as they mature.
There is alot to absorb in this adorable book, each page can be put to everyday use.

These Wise Women Speak to Women of All Ages
I know that the title of this book implies that it is only meant for women turning 30. My mom got me this book as a gift and I found it to be very uplifting and helpful, even as a 16 year old. I think that the same advice applies to all women who are reaching turning points in their lives, young and old, and I stronly recommend this book to anyone. I know that more books are coming out in the series too, so keep a lookout!

Sage Advice for Women of All Ages
Although the title indicates that the book contains advice for the woman entering her fourth decade of life, actually the wise women quoted therein speak to women of all ages.

The perfect gift, extremely reader-friendly with beautiful illustrations, full of witty aphorisms from worldly-wise, everyday women, the book will be a great addition to any woman's library shelf.

Like Sitting with a Friend
This book was given to me as an extra-early 40th birthday present by a very dear friend. Reading this book of no-nonsense reflections is like sitting with a good friend, wrapped in quilts and drinking tea.

I highly recommend this book!
This book is like having a wise friend in the room. Sometimes "quote" books tend to be sappy; this one isn't. It's smart and uplifting - something you can stick on your bedside stand and dip into when you need a pick-me-up.

Warm. Witty. Wonderful!
From as far back as I can remember, I have been drawn to what some call "women of a certain age." It would be many years before I even began to understand the myriad reasons why this was so; and it was not until reading The Woman's Way: Celebrating Life After 40, that I ever saw so many of those reasons spelled out so eloquently.

Regan Brown's keen and witty observations about middle-age resonate with spirit and epitomize growth. Like King Solomon, who wrote "proverbs" about Life, the Universe, and Everything in bite-sized "nuggets" of wisdom, Brown's remarkable look at mid-life comes in short, sweet, touching, humorous, and acutely insightful observations.

The first thing I did upon finishing The Woman's Way was to go right back online and order a copy for my daughter.

What Love is All About
A touching story that will stay with you for many years to come. It demonstrates in a prose that is poetry how true love means perseverance in the gift of self to the other, neither measuring how much nor counting how often.

Small but mighty
The poetic resonance of Marie Harris'words will linger with you long after you have finished this remarkable memoir only 77 pages in length. This is a little book with a big story to tell and it is told in a MASTERFUL way. This book has more punch and breadth to it than a work five times its size. The author, the Poet Laureate of New Hampshire, uses her skill as a poet to pluck out the most powerful and essential elements of the story about her adopted son, Manny, a 14 year old Puerto Rican teenager. This bittersweet (often humorous) bite of reality will transport you to both physical addresses and emotional places....accomplished with the minimalistic artisty of a very talented wordsmith. And, OH, the words on those pages! Is it prose? Yes! Is it poetry? Yes! Is it music? It sings! Is it a schmaltzy, run-of-the-mill melodramatic, "Hallmark commercial"-type book?... NO! NEVER! (no puppies or children die...just a few unnamed chickens) It's a love story which is never precious or sappy/ sentimental. This book deserves to be widely distributed and read.

My Daughter
Marie Harris's book took my heart. I can relate to Manny through my own adopted daughter who is now 10 and has been living with us only 15 months. Love is not always the whole answer but children like Manny and my daughter change the world around them for the better. I have read many books on adopting the older child but Marie's presentation is so beautiful her story will appeal on many levels.

Very interesting, not only for learning language
I completely agree to the former reviewer, including reasons why he recommend it, so I add only some points.

The word-for-word translation, for example - "there's more than one donkey called Martin in the market place" - is very useful for beginners to increase whose vocabulary. Its cartoon will help it.

And I think maybe you can enjoy this book not only for learning French language.
Indeed, I found an interesting fact - some French proverbs are very close to OUR JAPANESE/ASIAN proverbs in detail, rather than to English ones. For example, what you shouldn't do at once is "to chase two hares" both in France and Japan, and every jar does find a lid in France, so does every pot in Japan.
I don't know if sometime someone introduced them or it's only a coincidence, but there're something make me touched, the fact different peoples have same manner of thinking. So it seems there're more common points than differences, as it's said.
I thank the authors for they made me find it.

Highly recommended!

A Feast of Intellect, Understanding, and Humor
This is a great book! I'm currently a level two French student and this book is incredible. Each proverb has the French at the top, then the translation, followed by the English equal. The pictures are fantastic and very funny! Short conversations are included to help with context and their translations are in the back. I highly recommend 101 FRENCH PROVERBS. It is a great source of information.

Hard earned lessons bear great wisdom lest we forget !
Diane reminds us sometimes the most difficult and unbearable journey leads to the most beautiful view and its' valuable surroundings. Wisdom gained from her journey stregnthens her innerself, a place atop the highest mountain with the most beautiful view of her life! Take us there!

An excitingly different and introspective story.
When I read this book I was amazed how the story flowed from one detail to the next. This moving story was something I related to. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a deeper understanding about their own lives and relationships.

It teaches hundreds of idioms in their everyday contexts.
This is the most sophisticated idiom text I've seen in my 7 years teaching ESL. Ideal for the intermediate to advanced student, It includes the most-used phrasal verbs as well as expressions. The excercises are well designed matching, cloze, and conversation/role plays. What a pity if it's not re-published soon!

I want the book would be reprinted as soon as possible.
Against All Odds : Speaking Naturally With Idioms by Eichler: I am sure the book would be very helpful for foreigners to want to practise English. Please let foreigners buy it.

Still Crazy in Alabama...These Stories Just Won't Die!
These stories are true. Some are even actual! Though out of print, this book continues to sell as a prized hard-to-find title. Browze through these tales of Alabama life, and don't forget to check out the picture of me as an infant--my favorite picture!...

Deep roots in Dixie
This a a great compilation of stories, "both true and actual," by people who can't get Alabama out of their hearts and minds. A later book compiled by Marie Stokes Jemison and yours truly (Jim Reed) carried on the tradition several years later, I WISH I WAS IN DIXIE (available from Reed Books at JimReedBooks@compuserve.com). Learn how deeply-felt the good the bad and ugly can be in the Deep South. Read both books!

Alienated: A Quest to Understand Contact

Prophecy & an honest attempt to unravel her ongoing mystery
The author is a lifelong abductee who for the last ten years has been a contactee as well. Her ability to at will ask questions and receive guidance is relatively rare. The full transcripts of a large number of these answers are included. The author thinks of the grays as her friends, though many of her experiences have been painful, but she reserves judgement as to their motives. The book has a ring of truthful self-examination to it and will help anyone suffering from such experiences identify where their own emotions coincide and differ from the author, since she discusses her self-doubts and emotional reactions in detail. The style is clear, first person, easy-to-read and well worth the money. It would be nice to see additional material trom this author.

Not Just Another Alien Abduction Book
In _Alienated_, Jeanne Robinson "delivers the goods" promised by (but never found in) other alien abduction books. This is one book in which you will find actual information, allegedly obtained from the greyliens, which is, at least, a little more original than the usual script being read by all the abductee wanna-be's. Here you will find a greylien manifesto, purportedly dictated to the author. The very fact that it is transparently manipulative, patronizing propaganda adds a ring of authenticity to it. Other information she has obtained, including purported details about the science of UFO propulsion, is quite detailed and some of these points are compared with the information obtained by "Kathie Davis" of Budd Hopkins' book, _Intruders_. She also presents a myriad of glyphs for those interested in learning the greylien alphabet (or for those who think they already know it, but just want to quiz themselves). If you're tired of alien abduction books that simply recycle the same old tales of nose needles and rectal probes, then this book is for you.
