Pretty Good for a Time Travel....
I have never read a time travel before, but this was pretty good. It was all very interesting and had you wondering what would happen next. The ending was the only disapointment I had, you don't find out what happens to Christine and Harry, and if her granfather remembers her at all. But all in all it was a fun read, made me wish it was me doing the traveling!

Absolutly Fantastic
This book just kind of fell into my lap and I tell you it is one of the best books ever. Its starts off wonderful and ends fantastic. The charecters were so real. You fall in love with Jake and feel Torri's pain. I have never read a Tess M. book before, but I tell you, she is the best. God Bless all!!!

Exciting,I stayed up all night reading unable to put it down
This was the first timeswept book I had ever read. It got me hooked. I did not realize that it was a catagory. I've been reading nothing but timeswept since. It was the best one out them all that I have ever read. This story was put together really well. Lots of history!!! The author did a great job!

Great book, but . . .
After you've read through the first chapter of this book, you will think most modern evangelical writing should be shelved next to Dr. Seuss.

This is a fantastic and profound book, HOWEVER . . .

DON'T BUY THIS EDITION! The print is miniscule and very difficult to read! Try the Banner of Truth Edition.

The Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment
This book was written by an English Quaker in 1648. It provides very relevent and insightful ideas on how to be contented in today's world.

Excellent teaching for absolute devotion to the Lord
I am still reading this book, but I've read enough to have it significantly change my outlook on life and afflictions. I have learned in abundance what it means to trust the Lord in troubles and to realize that God will bring me out of them in His time, and it is my duty to praise the Lord and devote my heart to Him. My cup runs over when I read Jeremiah Burroughs.

"So Much Joy" engages, inspires
Linda Jewel has written quite an engaging book. "SO MUCH JOY" is a page turner. I found myself caring what happened to Miss Jewel's characters. And so will you, because the characters are so much like people I know and even myself. This book will make a good read for teenagers, young adults and adults alike because it lets the readers know that real life happens to everyone... even if we don't say it out loud. This is a great first writing effort and I hope Miss Jewel does not stop offering us good books to read. I will be looking forward to her next publication.

Splendid
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, So Much Joy. It reminded me of many things I went through as a young woman, as the author reflects on past pain and intimacies in youth. I recomment this book for all women, and men alike. There's something in it for everyone.

one of the best book ever done
when i started reading the book i could not put it down something new every page could not put it down

Daily pearls of wisdom
My husband gave me this book during my early soul searching days. It was amazing on his part that he actually thought enough to purchase this hard to find book for me. I am truly glad he took the time to do that.

Jewel Diamond Taylor offers common sense advice for all people who want to add positive aspects to their life. She uses quotes, short essays, anecdotes and poetry to uplift the spirit and enlighten the mind.

This book should be added to anyone's library who wish to make a change in their life.

Practical advice for the Independent Woman

Crown jewels of Iran

The Jewels of Crown Jewels
This coffee-table type book is, as far as I know, the only extensive collection of photographs of what used to be the Crown Jewels of Persia.

Most of the pieces in this collection (now apparantly dispersed) were given or sold to the Nadir Shah in the 15th century. It includes the ABSOLUTE FINEST examples of Columbian emeralds (like great blobs of green apple jelly) from both the Muzo and Chivor mining regions AND the ABSOLUTE FINEST blood-red Burmese rubies that you will never get to see in your lifetime.

Many pieces are manufactured jewellery but many, many stones are unset.

This collection used to be on display in the Bank Melli in Teheran but after the '79 revolution has disappeared.

If you have a love of precious stones or an interest in the Spanish pillaging of South America, this book is a must have. If you can find one.

A Dazzling Collection!
The Book presents a partial amount of the Iranian crown jewels. Yet, the items depicted in the book are a gem connoisseur's heaven. Recently,I saw the collection displayed in the vaults of the Iranian Central Bank and the book does justice to the collection displayed in the vaults.

Series of mostly interesting interviews.
This book is a compilation of interviews with various B-movie queens of various eras. It's fairly frank and unassuming, so it's also often rather prosaic. After all, these are mostly working women who had (or have) careers in a relatively unglamorous area of film.

Ms. Shepard is interviewing her peers, in essence and this is not exactly a hard-hitting exposé, which is fine, but it's perhaps not entirely factual in places.

Nonetheless, it's difficult not to empathize with these women and their aspirations and well as what they have had to endure in their struggles to reach them, and ultimately the book is to be commended for shining some light in that area.

Just Who Are The Ladies Making All Those B-Movies?
Jewel Shepard took it upon herself to contact a dozen or so of the past and current B-Movie Queens. Jewel's book contains her interviews, along with photos, of some of the most popular B-Movie and "Scream Queens" from the 50's to the present.

Jewel's questions draw out the people behind the images on the screen and gives their insights into the B-Movie business. I found Jewel's interviews funny and interesting. Most of the women knew what they were doing and saw B-Movies as an opening to bigger and better things.

Great if you haven't already read a Jewel biography
There are so many biographies for Jewel, it's hard to write one with different information(actually, it's darn near impossible!) This one doesn't tell you anything you couldn't get from another, but if you don't have any others and want to know about Jewel's life, this is a very good source. The best part is the website directory in the back:It lists the coolest Jewel sites including the place where you can become an EDA(every-day angel)! It also contains pretty pictures of Jewel. I recomend it to anyone else who's crazy about her!

well written and enjoable reading
I enjoyed this book. It was interesting to take a look at Jewel's childhood and her history. I would have liked to have had a few more qoutes and even a review from Jewel on how accurate the book portraited her. I would like know if I can beleive all that I am reading because it seems like people can exagerate and underestimate things when they are writing about someone else. It sounded all true.

intriguing
Ever since the first time i ever heard Jewel back in 1997 i instantly fell in love with her unique style, her ways with words as if they come so easily. I deeply admire her for the passion not for music but her passion to express the deep chambers of her beautiful soul. When i read this book i only fell more in love. I must admit most of my early poetry spawned from the inspiration i recieved from Jewels utterly astonishing words of wisdom.

A darling of a book you won't put down
Net of Jewels was the sixth Ellen Gilchrist I've read and again I was unable to put it down. Tales of Rhoda never cease to amaze me. Her self destructive tendancies lead to all sorts of on-goings and craziness. You will absolutly fall in love with her. Opening this book is like opening a bottle of good wine, you'll want to savor every last drop and share it with your closest friends.

A intriguing book
Rhoda (Dee) is one of the most intriguing characters that I have ever read aboout.

mesmerizing!
Ellen Gilchrist is one of my favorite writers, Rhoda Manning is my favorite of her characters, and Net of Jewels is Ellen Gilchrist at her best. Rhoda Manning is her usual delightful, irresistable, impulsive self in this book. This captivating novel tells of her writing talent, her falling in love, marriage, children, and many painful and tragic events in between. I have read this book many times and endorse it wholeheartedly.

I Find Jo Hard To Take
There is nothing "strong" about Jo. I am appalled that she allows her self-centered, scatter-gun, class-envy to put her entire family's lives at risk AND do what she does to David's ship. It was a mistake when she slipped her dagger ALL THE WAY into Nathan's body? What a crock. She had been wanting to do this through the entire previous book.

I loved Morgan and David in Pirate. At least Morgan did what she had to do to survive. Jo is a self-centered little brat who can't see anything beyond her own blind rage. She was in London for how many years? Four!! And she managed to find one whole group of orphans. Big whoop. Now she's ready and willing to take steps that will get her whole family hung. Personally, I think she's stupid, bordering on insane. I think I will enjoy "Angel" much more.

I'm having a hard time finishing this book. It is my most fervent hope that Nathan drop kicks her butt straight into the ocean. That would be the only thing that would make this book worth reading to me.

Now, I will say that this author writes very well and I do enjoy her work, but she just didn't choose the right heroine this time.

A wonderful read
Joanna is a wonderful woman so unsure of herself yet she can talk herself into anything. She fights for what she believes in regaurdless of what it does to herself. When Nathan walks into her world she finds out that things are not always what they seem. And no matter how hard she tries to force him out of her life she can not fight the attraction that they share the firce argumentive complete oppisites attrack really comes into play here. I loved the book and found it to keep me going threw the end and wanting to start to read it all over again.

Adversaries united in passion -- very highly recommended
In 1760s England, three sisters face danger and adventure on the high seas as pirates to champion their noble causes. Each meets the man who is their destiny, learning to value love more than any pirate's treasure. ONCE A REBEL, the second novel of the miniseries, is the story of Joanna Fisk, the fiery redhead who will stop at nothing to achieve her purpose.

Joanna only attends the ball to please her elder sister. Attired in fabulous dress and feathered mask, her emerald eyes suite the name rumor gives her, "The Emerald of London." Using the rumor to her own advantage, Joanna gains an introduction to Nathan Alcott, a man who represents all that she despises most. But she can't resist the thrill of attraction, the electric connection they share.

Preferring her own company to the partygoers as they step into the dining room, Joanna escapes to her brother-in-law's study. There she overhears just enough information that, if she takes to the seas, will solve her pressing issue. Too often Joanna feels she's let down those who needed her, especially her little brother and Sammy who both died, and she won't let down the rest of the children. Nathan is borrowing her brother-in-law's ship and headed to France with $50,000 in gold. Plenty to pirate and use to provide much needed food and shelter for the orphans of London's streets.

The attack on her adversary was fiercer than Joanna planned, causing considerable damage to the ship. When she boards and her crew captures the gold, however, Nathan doesn't give up the money without a fight. In a desperate sword fight, Nathan beats Joanna, but she can't loose the gold. Without thinking, she thrusts her dagger into his side. Devastated by her own actions, Joanna brings both gold and Nathan back to her ship. When she learns the purpose of Nathan's desperate flight to France, she offers her help. Both Joanna and Nathan fight the electricity they share, yet these adversaries must eventually admit the passion that grows between them.

This fiery heroine and her rash decisions provide a fast-paced, addictive plot sure to keep the pages turning. Tammy Hilz has a talent for weaving impossible situations and then providing the perfect solution in just the nick of time. ONCE A REBEL is brilliantly-crafted, fabulously rendered, and a must read!...

Great book series
I would recommend these books to first graders that are excelled readers. For my daughters reading level, the chapter books at school seem to encourage children to talk back to teachers or parents, mock or play tricks on others and lie. The Jewel Princess series are wonderful fantasy tales with a good moral ending. Thank you Jahnna and Malcom!

Sabrina tells her friend Atlanta's secret.
