A voice from the southern mountions.
First of all this is a great book. Iam buying it for my grandso
in his new house for a coffee table book. The price was good and the condition of the book was excellent. You can't beat the packing and shipping time.

Dickey's story is haunting; Bake's photographs and stunning.

Great Desk Resource
I'm a tax attorney and I have this book as a desk resource. It is a great general text on a variety of tax issues. This book has helped me find the quick answers to countless "simple" tax questions.

Comprehensive Textbook covering Corporate Tax
This textbook has a counterpart INDIVIDUAL INCOME TAX, also published by West's Federal Taxation that is used extensively by business schools as well as accounting classes covering all the aspects of taxation.

The book is written in an easy to understand manner, which follows the most important codes that are used in tax today. The only drawback of these books are the fact that since the tax codes are constantly changing, the books are updated about every year.

Tour de Force
These poems are very evocative, uncompromising and yet beautiful. I'm not much of a poetry reader but these got under my skin. I plan to buy another copy of this book for a friend.

Brilliant analysis of Joyce's use of Holmes in FW
I was a friend of the late author's and therefore recuse myself from any sort of critical review, but am anxious to let others know of its availability. It is a model of Joycean analysis, in my opinion, written in an elegant, spare style and with great good humor. He has made a significant discovery that should excite and illumine both Sherlockians (Bill was a member of the BSI and prodigious contributor to the Baker Street Journal) and Wakers.

TRUE STORY THAT READS LIKE A NOVEL
William Doyle brilliantly recreates a little remembered incident that challenged America to its core: the attempt of an Air Force veteran named James Meredith to exercise his right to go to school. That would, on the surface, seem an easy task. However the year was 1962, the school was the University Of Mississippi, and the citizen was African American. The battle which took place left an armed force occupying an American campus, two people dead, and a nation facing the inevitable moral conflict brought about by segregation.

Doyle's research is superb; he uncovers evidence, testimony, and events which have never before been reported. At the same time, the writing is crisp, exciting and momentous - events race along spinning out of the control of the racist Governor (Ross Barnett), the vacillating President (John Kennedy) and the cool observer (Meredith himself)

Readers wanting to know more about the Civil Rights Movement, human courage, and the Kennedy Administration will, naturally, find this book to be fascinating. However, any citizen who wants an exciting read about the history of their nation should buy this remarkable book.
