The best advice I have ever read on getting a job in sales
The author's knowledge on this subject is incredible. I can honestly say I used the information in this book to obtain my first job in sales where I expect to make well over $100,000 per year. I highly recommend this job to anyone looking to get into the sales field or anyone in the sales field already who isn't making over $100,000 per year. Business colleges should also take note and recommend it to upcoming graduates.

Highly recommended
The Charlton Story is a well-written and important tribute to one of America's greatest business entrepreneurs. Earle Perry Charlton, one of the five founding fathers who made the F.W. Woolworth Co. the most successful and well-known discount chain of all time, was also one of the most generous of men. His personal letters, many of which are reprinted in this book, provide insight into his strong business ethics ...his dealings with employees...and much more. This book is a fine addition to the library of anyone interested in business or biography.

A Great Resource
Per Mollerup has gathered some wonderful examples of utility and whimsy from around the world, and used those examples to illustrate "The Genius of Space Saving Design".

As an Industrtial Designer and Manufacturer, I loved this book as a way to recharge the creative side, reinforce the practical side, and marvel at the imagination and inspiration of other designers.

As a bonus, it was a great way to help my elementary school aged daughters understand the connection between design and products that they see every day.

HOW TO DISCOVER ORGANIZATIONAL STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
This book shows how to conduct an appraisal of an organization's strengths and weakness for purposes of strategic planning that goes beyond the "ask the managers" approach. It tackles the subject in an in-depth, thorough and holistic way, providing a basic framework, evaluative approaches and guidelines, and numerous questionnaires. The major subject areas covered are: finance; marketing; production; technology and innovation; human resource management, management effectiveness, culture and structure; and information systems. The authors also take a process orientation that cuts across departments or functions, avoiding the trap of thinking that optimizing performance in each part will lead to an optimal performance of the whole. The book also explores benchmarking, comments on reengineering, and examines the value chain approach. Another approach that is explored is core competencies and their related critical success factors and core capabilities, all cutting across the whole organization. Additionally, a chapter is devoted to conducting an industry analysis. The book concludes with insights about involving managers and drawing all findings together. This book is very rare, if not wholly unique work. Well written and organized, its potential value is enormous. Very highly recommended.

Leadership at its finest
Regardless of whether you are a great leader or are working to achieve successful leadership, this book provides great devotions. If you are searching for something on motivation then you look under the subject heading of motivation and see what stories are available. Each story is motivating, inspiring, and has modern day settings.

The stories are from some of the great leaders of today as well as some from the not so distant past. The devotions will assist any leader in determining a solution for an issue. Leadership Devotions are accompanied by scriptural references so you do not just read what someone else has said or done, but what God says about the same topic.

A great addition for any leader's library, "Leadership Devotions", should be on the shelf of all leaders. It doesn't matter whether you are a leader of many, few, or one, this book will stimulate you to become a great leader.

The Complete Works of Kate Chopin (Southern Literary Studies)

The Ultimate Collection of One of America's Best!
This is your "one-stop shop" for every single one of Kate Chopin's published works. Large and cumbersome but well worth the weight, it contains all of her fantastic local color stories from her books "A Night in Acadie", "Bayou Folk", and all of her other short stories (including her very first written in childhood), plus the novels "At Fault" and "The Awakening". Most of her work was buried for years and it is difficult and expensive to get all of her wonderful creations, so this is the way to go for the ardent Chopin fan, the Chopin scholar, or anyone that just loves great American literature.(Note:it is also very uncommon to find a place that sells this!)
