This book is really complete and detailed and I have found it much easier to read than a lot of the other big thick books. The writing is better, and it's less boring. It also has lots of exercises and practice tests. I got this book for a class I was taking, but really it would work just as well for self-study too. Overall it is one of the best A+ books I have seen, and I have a lot of them.

When my project manager gifted this book to me firstly ý get happines, but when ý started to read that ý feld some difficulties in beginning. When ý get some experience about my field and compare with that book, ý find this book as a key for my breakwater engineering job.

This book is a very good preparation for Access 2000 Core. However, as of May 2002, many of the questions on the Access 2002 "Core" test were actually from the "Expert" objectives which were not published on the Web MOUS site. Fortunately, the Microsoft Access 2002 MOUS Expert book by Winters and Manchester does an excellent job preparing readers for the Core test and it covers all of the Expert objectives.

This is the first book I have been able to understand and follow, step by step and the end result looked like it was suppose to. Clear concise words, nice flow of the material and a great ease of use. OUTSTANDING!

Per Brinch Hansen develops a programming system for a PC from the ground up, by designing a simplified dialect of Pascal (Edison) and implementing it portably. All the source code is published and, in this reviewer's opinion and experience, is free of error. If thst is not enough to attract a serious programmer, Brinch Hansen's implementation of concurrent processing in Edison (which also appears in his later work) and his construction of an operating system without the use of pointers commends it. The fact that the original system was DEC LSI-11 is not so important because the Edison machine has been ported to IBM PCs and most of the work remains relevant.

Rarely do you have an opportunity to meet someone who has "made a difference in history." Ambassador Per Anger is just that sort of person. Elizabeth R. Skoglund touches on the thread that held people like Per Anger, Rauol Wallenberg and others together while they tried to help those escaping the Holocaust. For us now, we too can "make a difference".

The labs in this book are really helpful. Not like a dry exam prep book -- you learn by doing. The real-world examples are realistic, stuff that you'll find on the job. Its a great test prep!

I am a professor of radiation biology at the Westfaelische Wilhelms-University in Muenster, Germany. German Television sent me an advanced copy of this book and asked for my evaluation of it. My opinion is that this book is a new great contribution to the scientific knowledge. The book is didactively very well organized. A must for every radiologist in the world. Gofman's results are in excellent agreement with the latest findings of scientists at the Radiation Effects Research Foundation in Hiroshima. They report in the October issue of Radiation Resaerch that in the exposed population deaths due to stroke and ischemic heart disease are significantly increased and dose related. Thus ionizing radiation is not only inducing cancer and mutations but also non malignant diseases like stroke, heart, digestive and respiratory diseases, just as Gofman's results indicate.
