Truly a masterpiece! Full of horror and graphic imagination.
I felt chilled reading this collection of Poe's all time best stories. I especially loved the eerieness of The Cask of Amontialldo and the insanity of the narrator in the The Balck Cat, all so frightly believable. The illustrations top it off by adding a magical touch of frightful imagery to the collection.

One of the greatest books ever written!!
I read this book about a year ago and loved it. I'm the type of person who reads before they go to sleep and I had to put this book down because it was so frightening. I loved the way Poe drew me into the story and kept me begging for more. I was always curious to know what happened next, even if I was terrified. My favorite of all the stories was the "Cask of Amontillado". It was so creative how you became almost like a part of the story.

Excellent prep guide, good even if you don¿t take the exam.
The TICSA Training Guide is one of the better certification exam preparation books that I have seen in a while.

The book is makes for an excellent reference, and it quite valuable, even if you don't plan to take the exam.

The book is well organized and written. Many exam prep guides are simply a cut and paste from the course preparation material and a lot of other publicly available information. I saw none of that in this book.

The exercises and practice exams give a good feel for the test.

Taken as a whole, TICSA Training Guide is an excellent work. If you are taking the TICSA test, it is worth every penny. If you are not taking the exam, it is a worthwhile introduction into information security and protection.

Not just another Security Exam book!
I have been working on several Security certifications including CompTIA, Cisco and Microsoft, now I have found a new player in the game and finding this training guide has open a whole new world to me.

Unaware of what TICSA certification entailed, before reading this book I went to the website and researched the subject matter as well as found exam objectives and practice exams. I then took that information and compared it to the training guide and found that the authors have taken the exam material one step beyond the exam for this book.

I also found much of the material, whether you want the certification or not, is helpful in everyday network administration. Also the material goes a long way in other exam like Security+ and I could have certainly used this when I took that beta exam.

There are plenty of exercises and practice questions in each chapter, tips throughout the books and warnings and field notes to help in your study. Finally there is a cd-rom with practice exam questions powered by the PrepLogic testing engine giving you a look at the exam before going live. Overall this seems to be a very useful reference manual.

the best iggy bio around
this one is a real iggy bio. a nice and careful collection of interviews and scrap book work to assembly a close portrait of james osterberg, aka iggy pop...life, friendships, music, misdemeanours and adventures from muskegon to LA, from berlin to NY...lots and lots of news and anedoctes, beautiful b/w pics and a WONDERFUL close-up over iggy's official and unofficial discography until 1987...something to give you a real thrill...if u get to put your hands on it, you're lucky.

I repurchased this after twenty years
This book is an excellent introduction to getting in touch
with your own feelings/body/self-awareness. Wonderful, playful,
fun and practical exercises make sense. I am sure it
profoundly changed my life and was part of my path for becoming
a happy person. Unbeatable! Thanks Laura Huxley!

Don't take it personally!
This is a great book for anyone who is overly sensitive to criitism or other people's mood swings. It contains "recipes" to use when you find yourself either angered or hurt by someone else's insensitivity. I highly recommend this book for every household! If you've ever been told to be more thick skinned, then this is the book to learn how.

Rewritten/republished as Travel&Leisure:Amsterdam
The American Express Travel Guide of Amsterdam (1992), written by Derek Blythe, has been re-written by Carol Winkelman and re-published as Travel&Leisure: Amsterdam (1997). Travel&Leisure magazine, in conjunction with Macmillan Travel, designed this new version of the book for a larger audience that includes young travelers, budget travelers, babyboomer travelers, discriminating travelers, and business travelers. The new book is a combination of traditional and offbeat travel guide, helping the reader find his/her way to hotels, restaurants, museums, and historical sites while also taking him/her "inside" Amsterdam to experience its cafe culture, lively arts scene, and famous nightlife. The new book, like The American Express Guide, includes an excursion to Rotterdam that leads the reader from the historic to the ultramodern.

RARE AND EXCELLENT TEXT/IMAGE SOURCE BOOK
This is an excellent source book on a rare topic. Very useful photo coverage on objects, deity figures, and cultural milieus for a pre-Buddhist shamanistic Tibetan religion
