Great guidance to combine everything you know about W2K
I got my MCSE and MCSA - thanks to book. But, don't expect to get a step-by-step and comprehensive evaluation about each topic of W2K issue, such as DNS, AD, PROXY, VPN, ISA, etc. It assumes that you already have a broad knowledge and high proficiency about W2K.
It'll guide you how to manage and combine all of the information you already have about W2K; analyze problem, how to prevent it and finally design a good system.

It's a great book anyway.

The Only Book You Need!
Great resource, well written and informative. Covers all aspects completely! Highly recommend.

Excellent! This one should do the job....
For something that calls itself an "All-in-One" guide, I was pretty impress in the amount of information the authors of this book managed to compress in its pages.... I was similarly impress in the breadth of coverage (and format) that it was presented, from encyclopedia-type references to actual case studies -- I've certainly appreciated every detail.

Molecular Symmetry and Spectroscopy
Published in Hardcover by Academic Press (1979)
Authors: Philip R. Bunker and Per Jensen
Amazon base price: $85.00
Average review score:

Enjoying Molecular Symmetry and Spectroscopy
This book authored by P. R. Bunker & P. Jensen is the second edition of the well known book on molecular spectroscopy by Phil Bunker and it is considerably larger than the first edition (probably 50% larger). I feel that anyone interested in theoretical molecular spectroscopy should have this book within easy reach. It is a very important addition to the textbooks by Herzberg and covers the entire field of theoretical molecular spectroscopy in a very lucid and clear manner. I particularly enjoyed the chapters devoted to develop the molecular Hamiltonian in detail and to show how successive approximations can be used in solving it. It makes you love spectroscopy. Indispensable.

THE book for Molecular Symmetry!
This book is THE place to learn the modern approach to symmetry in molecular spectroscopy. The clear presentation of the Molecular Symmetry Group and how it is to be used alone make this book an essential item for any molecular spectroscopist. This work, however, does much more than that - deriving the molecular Hamiltonian, the descriptions and symmetry properties of the basis sets used at various levels of approximation, the symmetry rules for interactions, transitions, etc. etc. Clearly presented this book is an enormously enhanced and expanded (by 50%) version of the first edition. There is no other work which covers this ground - and few if any works in this field that have the same breadth and clarity. My recommendation is: You can't do without it!

An essential book on the theory of molecular spectroscopy
This book on molecular spectroscopy should be on the bookshelf of every practicing molecular spectroscopist and every post graduate student working in molecular spectroscopy. It complements the classic books of Herzberg in that it gives a virtually complete account of all the theory required for the interpretation of gas phase molecular spectra. The writing is clear and the book covers the subject comprehensively. Bunker and Jensen have done a great job of making a complex subject accessible.

Very good for preparing to exams
Hello,
I have bought, read this book and got my CCNA with score 903.
The language that information is provided is quite good.
The tests on CD are very good too.
I got CCNA at age 14, so you can get it too.
Thanks

Very Good
This book has done a great job of outlining the principles of the CCNA certification. I have taken several classes from Heather Osterloh and have been successful with each certification(i.e., MCSE and now CCNA). I would recommend this book to anyone interested in obtaining not only their CCNA certification but also a good foundation of networking principles.

Jimmy Phoenix AZ

Must have for potential CCNA candidates ........
This is a really compact but yet comprehensive CCNA books that I have ever come across. Engineer planning to take the CCNA test should own this book.

Basically, this book has everything you want to get you started in the networking world, moren importantly prepare you sufficiently for the vital CCNA exam. I particularly like the "compressed notes" for overnite review just days before the exam. The book was designed to provide you the basic understanding of networking. It reinforced what you have gone through in each chapter with some sample test exercise. This would provide the reader on the potential question in CCNA.

With this book, you are basically killing 2 birds with one stone. It not only assist you in understanding the complex networking with its simplified explaination and clear diagram; it also prepares you for the exam.

I have just gone through a few chapter, feeling very fulfilling after going through the evaluation question at the end of the chapter. It gives you the indication on how well is your grasps in the particular chapter ........

It's not a perfect book after all. This book is not meant to provide an in-depth view on Switching & Routing concept. To make up this, you might want to get Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices.

I am very new in the networking world and I feel that this book is able to get me started and rolling. Thanks.

Add Some Seasoning to Your Life
How often have the major changes in our lives just passed us by? This resource helps to highlight the events of our life both good and bad with simple rituals. I have found the rituals simplicity and depth to be refreshing. For families, and counselling and people who provide spiritual guidance this is an excellent resource.

Be blessed!
Inside you'll find blessings for birthdays, the new school year, and the changing of the seasons. You'll find blessings for adolescent body changes, getting a driver's license, graduations, a new home, a new pet or the death of a pet. Ever wonder what to do for an ill friend of family member? Bless them! Try blessing an important conversation before you begin -- it could be good for business. There is even a blessing for protection against evil. We all could use that. Anyone who uses this book will unleash the power of blessings in their life. May you be so blessed!

A True Blessing for Everyday Life
I've found "For Everything A Season" a profound blessing in itself. As a Lutheran pastor, I eagerly seek ways to effectively empower the people who gather together with me in worship and service. Too often spirituality evaporates under the stress and distraction of daily life. "For Everything a Season" offers a collection of simple, creative, adaptive opportunities to consciously integrate the sacred every day. The range of blessings is delightful, and their simple honesty is refreshing. I've used them many times as I've met with people in joy and in sorrow, in struggle and in celebration. I use them daily in my personal worship. I commend this marvelous collection to you.

New Wine is Truely Better!
This book is truely a blessing to anyone who reads it. I first read it years ago. I picked it up again the other day and started to read it again. It stills hold my attention and ministers to me. It is down-to-earth and real. One can really relate to the life of Robert Thom and his sins. But as God saved
Robert, He can save anyone from sin. Get multiple copies of this book because you will want to share it. May God richly bless each of you. To God Be The Glory Forever and Forever!

A Shining Light Amongst The Darkness
When I first read this book it was in a very critical time in my life. I was a new Christian and had become very ill. A friend loaned me this book and it ministered to me in ways I cannot describe. His honest approach to questioning the things of God and his simple responses to God's promptings were a breath of fresh air. I have tried to adopt his simplistic honest approach to serving our Lord and Savior Jesus into my life. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to take an adventure in learning about the love, mercy, compassion, patience, and providences of our Father.

A BOOK OF FAITH AND THE WILL TO OVERCOME THRU FAITH

The best in the series
The sixth Martin Beck novel. The crime this time around is the brutal murder of a decorated police officer in his hospital bed. Beck (now divorced from his shrewish wife) and his partner Kollberg, are on the case again.

This is the best novel in the series, masterfully interweaving the virtues of Beck's patient, methodical style of detection with a damning indictment of the pointless brutality and general incompetence of modern law enforcement. The point of the book, made in a variety of ways, is that law enforcement needs better cops, not bigger guns. Excellent as both a crime thriller and social commentary.

And don't miss the cliffhanger ending.

Unfortunately, it's out of print, and hard to find. Beg, borrow, or steal a copy, and read it.

This book is a brilliant police procedural.
"The Abomidable Man" is one of the better entries in the ten "Martin Beck" mysteries by the husband-and-wife team of Maj Sjowall and Per Wahloo. It features the unforgettable characters of Martin Beck, Leonard Kollberg, and their colleagues at the newly nationalized Swedish Police Force as a particularly brutal murder of a police officer in a hospital is investigated. With few clues, Beck and his colleagues eventually solve the case, but are overtaken by events in the sort of bleak existential denouement that characterizes this unmatched series of crime stories. The authors use the police procedural as a prism through which to look at society, and their liberal outlook seems innocent and quaint given the passage of time. Search your local used bookstores and garage sales for any entries in this series (not too uncommon in paperback) and let's hope that Black Lizard rereleases the whole series. NOTE: This book was made into an outstanding Swedis! ! h film called "The Man on the Roof", available on video at certain outlets.

riveting and realistic
Another spellbinding Martin Beck mystery that invites the reader into the world of the Swedish police in the 70's. The characters are memorable, the plot is very believable, it's an excellent piece of mystery fiction.

Decent Book...got the job done.
The book was helpful, the chapter formats are short and to the point giving you only what you need to pass the, which is good. Just don't rely only on this book...here is a secret, there is a program called cf_buster that is a great test prep that when used in conjuction with this book simulate a certified test environment. I passed my test today.

Well Written
most chapter's are only 10 pages or less long so you can sit down for 5 minutes read a chapter then come back and read another chapter later as it helps to read a whole chapter at once

where as some books are like 40 pages per chapter and ya need to sit down with a fair bit of time just to read the chapter

A review guide that provides helpful pointers
Ben Forta's Certified Coldfusion 5 Developer Study Guide will not teach ColdFusion, but will be a review guide that provides helpful pointers for examinees. The book's look will be non-intimidating yet thorough, and will be highly readable in small bite-sized chunks. Each subject will be presented in a clear and direct language, with useful and well explained code examples. Sample questions will accompany each subject, as will references to recommended reading, product documentation, Macromedia course work, and existing ColdFusion books. 432 pp. Intermediate-Advanced user level.

Passed the 76-210 REFRESH Win2k Exam with this book!
Very good book. Easy to work with just one computer with this book. I passed the 76-210 REFRESH Win2K Exam with this book and the Exam Cram2 Windows 2000 Professional book.

I followed almost all of the labs in this book on one computer. Great labs. Didn't notice any big errors in this book. Saw some earlier concerns about the Index of this book. I just followed the chapters cover-to-cover and the test was a breeze. I think there might be some "sour grapes" about not passing the test and blaming the book. I never even looked at the index to see if there were errors
I passed the 4-hour, 76-210 Refresh Win2k Exam with this book in less than 3 hours. I would strongly consider this book if you are on a budget, have one computer, and want to pass the Exam. Plus there is a 15% off the Exam coupon in the back.

Excellent Book
I bought this book with the recommendations from the editor's review here. I was not disappointed. The book is very understandable and I recommend it. However, this book alone will not get you to pass the test. In addition to this, I bought: Microsoft 2K Server Resource Kit, the Microsoft XP Resource Kit and the Transcender test. I recommend them all. I used these to pass the 70-270 test. In addition to these. Make sure you have at least a cursory understanding of Active Directory and actually play with it. You will need to know some light server admin stuff & internet explorer. Just follow up on the Transcender recommended reading and you will pass.

Great Test Prep!
This book was great to prepare me for the exam for which I did pass. I also used the Transcenders to study from too. I enjoyed the book and recommend it!

Excellent Foundation for Windows XP
Read this book, grasp all of the contents, and you will have a very solid foundation on Windows XP. This book takes you through RIS, Unattended Installs, Managing disks, TCP/IP, Printing, EFS, Mobile Users, Working in a Novell Netware environment, System recovery, hardware support, shortcuts, command-line utilities and Troubleshooting to name a few. Be sure to supplement your studies with practices tests to be triple-darn sure that you'll pass the test. Good Luck!!!

It's OK.
I would like to say thanks to the author. This book help me to improve my reading comprehension, which is really needed for new MCSE 2000. I am a programmer and new to MCSE world! I just love to pass Windows 2000 exams!

I took exam 70-210 in my first try and passed with 800 (620 is required). This a good book for last week before taking actual exam, and I recommend Microsoft Readiness for more advanced topics. I also saw some questions from examsimulators.com demo in the actual test!

There are lots of questions in this books (Required Result, Optional Result, and Proposed Solution), but I did not see on the actual exam! Just be aware that there are a few typos in the book too.

I can guarantee if you correctly answer %75 of sample test in the end of book, you will pass the actual exam. Good luck.

Great questions
This book have a lot of wonderful questions, but people that read this must have the concepts in mind. I used this book and "transcender" and I passed with a 800 score. Pay attention because this test is not so easy! I recommend this book.

Excellent Review Book
I am preparing to upgrade my MCSE to Windows 2000 and am currently reveiwing my preparation for the Professional exam. I must say that this book is an excellent review book for anyone who is seriuos about writing the exam. At the same time, I must warn that this book will dissapoint anyone who wishes to pass the exam just by memorizing questions.

This book and other Test Yourself books in the newly designed series by Syngress have certainly an edge over other review books due to their unique presentation style. The questions in the book are performance and scenario based and much like the questions we find on the exam. This book will not only help me pass the exam but will also prepare me for any challenging assignment in the field.

The practice exam in the end is very helpful for a self test. This book if used with the Syngress study guide will definitely be a wonderful combination for the MCSE Win2K exam.

Absolutely the best preparation book for MCSE Windows 2000 exams!!
