Organizing my house in only one hour a day??? WOW
I didn't think it was possible. I had clutter from one end of the house to the other. I whined about never having the time to keep the house clean - organized. I work full-time - my husband works full-time. We have NO children. Yet, I never had time on my days off to center on making everything right.

Then, I saw this book title... 'one hour a day' -- I could do that!

And I can! One room at a time, one hour a day. It's all about common sense and a commitment to get rid of that junk that I've been saving -- it seems like forever.

Clothes that I might fit into again? HA! (I had three closets full of assorted sizes...) Tools that might come in handy some day? Junk that I couldn't find the heart to part with - sentimental or practical - it's still JUNK!

It's so simple. I wish I had thought of it.

Don't Give Up, Get Started!
If keeping an orderly household is distasteful or impossible for you, take heart. Once you put into practice the simple procedures outlined in this little book, you are apt to spend more than an hour straightening up just because the end results are so satisfying. Jeanne's friendly book presents a sensible way to de-clutter you house from attic to basement, changing it from a disgusting maze into a pleasant haven.

To rescue yourself from the messes you and your family have allowed to accumulate, you need to plan your work and then work your plan. I urge you to sit down and read this book today. Tomorrow you will be ready to choose the room that bothers you most, set your timer, and get to work. When the timer stops, you stop. That's it. Then
go relax knowing there's one spot a lot more organized in your house.

Italian for the Serious Learner
This book is in Italian only. It was developed by the Language Scholars in Perugia and is designed to be useful to all Italian language learners regardless of what their mother tongue is.

This is very important because many language books oriented to "English Speakers" phrase things in a way that make it easy for English Speakers to understand, but are NOT the way a real Italian would speak.

It has great vocablary and very clear grammar. The dialogs and short cultural snippets are comprehensive.

You will need a dictionary to use this book, but of the six different Italian books I have this is the best.

Great Book for the Serious Learner
This book is in Italian only developed by the Language Scholars in Perugia. It is engineered to be useful to all Italian learners whose mother tongue is anything.

It has great voculary and very clear grammar. The dialogs and short cultural snippets are comprehensive and use vocabulary and grammar very well.

A resounding endorsement .....
..... ..... of Tom Freese's book - "It Only Takes 1%".

As a salesman, have you ever inquired of yourself:

1) why would the president invite me into his office ? 2) once in the president's office, how does one add value causing the president to openly discuss corporate issues? 3) how does one control the sale's process through the entire cycle - cold call, first meeting, beating the competition, adding value to the sale, looking for additional opportunities to sell, closing the deal? 4) have you ever witnessed your prospect assume a blank facial expression during your elevator pitch? Could this be because your pitch sounds like blah....blah....blah (the same as every other competitor's pitch of adding value, speed, functionality, scalability, etc)? 5) well then, how do you differentiate yourself?

Tom's book challenges all traditional sales methodology that I have been taught throughout my 15 year sales career. I have used several of Tom's techniques in my technical sales job. The customer response is phenomenal.

There is a lot to learn from this book!!!!

It's that little extra that makes the difference
Whether you're new to sales or a seasoned veteran this book provides simple and effective ways to improve your sales efforts. By applying these common sense (but many times forgotten) lessons you too will have a competitive edge in sales. This is a great book that is a quick and easy read. I highly recommend it. Good selling...

The Jesus Prayer
Published in Paperback by Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge (1996)
Author: Per-Olof Sjogren
Amazon base price: $9.95
Average review score:

A Splendid Little Book on Prayer
This book focuses on one prayer known as 'the Jesus Prayer' - "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy upon me, a sinner". This is one of the richest and at the same time simplest ancient prayers of Christian tradition. Though it was extensively used in the East, it was overlooked by large sections of the church of the West until the middle of the 20th century. The Jesus Prayer has a rich history of two thousand years' "wandering through Palestine, Sinai, Athos and Russia". Peoples' experiences with this prayer through the centuries have been written down and these were brought together in the 18th century under one title, "Philokalia" (love of the beautiful).

Per-Olof Sjogren the Dean of Gothenburg Cathedral in Sweden, who has over 20 books on prayer and liturgy to his credit, introduces the Jesus Prayer to the Western world. He quotes frequently from the 'Philokalia' and draws from the contemporary situations of the Christians in order to argue that this is specially suited for busy people because of its brevity. A lot of what is said about the Jesus Prayer is true of prayer in general and he is scriptural as well as practical in his approach. This book with very good insights on prayer also could be used for fruitful spiritual reading.

The Jesus Prayer
A tiny book with a large and powerful punch! This book is based on the words, "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on us." The book is Scripturally sound, deeply rewarding and helpful for anyone who wants to come into a closer relationship with Christ through prayer. This book not only expounds on the background of the supplication itself, but helps anyone who reads it come to understand the meaning behind the words. The analogies set forth in the book are extremely helpful and meaningful. Most people pray and oftentimes, Christians are the last people who will admit that they want or need a deeper prayer life. This book is simply written and yet is a wealth of knowledge. Evidenced by the power of the Holy Spirit in the writings, it presents a 'different' way of looking at prayer. Though the book is not new, it is a valuable instrument for equipping those who want to grow in their prayer lives.

Excellent book
I have seen a number of Italian grammar books, I think that this is the best book that I have ever seen. They use the 3000 most frequently used words in the Italian language. There are many excellent exercises to reinforce the grammar points. Now if after doing this course, you would like to study another interesting and related language, you should try Maltese. ...

Easy to use
I own a lot of language books (especially Italian). When I was studying Italian in Florence, Italy, the school provided this book. It is by far one of the best books I have used to learn the language. It is easy to follow and got me started quickly.

Lingua Latina : Per Se Illvstrata
Published in Paperback by Museum Tusculanum Press (1994)
Authors: Hans H. Oerberg and Hans H. Orberg
Amazon base price: $34.00
Average review score:

Best Latin text ever written
Lingua Latina is quite simply the greatest Latin text ever composed. It uses the "direct method" approach to teaching, starting with very simple vocabulary and grammar and then using what has been learned to "bootstrap" further learning: new words are defined by using words you already know, grammatical principles are taught by expanding grammar you've learned.

Oerberg is a genius. I've had students learning Latin from these books for 20 years. Every one reports that the way Lingua Latin teaches the language makes it possible for a motivated learner, studying on his or her own, to go from "ground zero" to a real reading knowledge of Latin in a relatively short period of time. And it's fun! You look forward to your daily Lingua Latina workout as a treat. The first volume starts out with incredibly simple Latin sentences ("Italia paeninsula est"), but by the end you're reading unadulterated Livy as though you'd been studying Latin for 10 years.

When you've gotten your books and started learning Latin and seen how exhilarating Lingua Latina makes the whole process, come back here and put up your own review. Vale!

Optimus!
This book taught me Latin, and it's really wonderful. Everything is explained in Latin, and all vowel length are marked. This book really makes you feel that Latin was a living language, with a lot of dialogues and short stories. I wish I had a book like this for every language that I want to learn!

Covers it all and says the unsaid things
I started my own consulting business and bought quite a few books. By far, this book tells you what you really need to know. It gave me the tips I really needed, not just the "philosophy" but also the down-and-dirty details. If you are looking to start an IT consulting business, even if you aren't into the "Microsoft-centricity" of the MCSE, this book has a LOT to offer. I am dubbing it indespensible for the IT consultant just starting out... AND those already in business.

MCSE Consulting 101
Are you a techie that has been thinking about making money on your own? This is the first technical consulting book that gives you all the information from A to Z in the MCSE business. This book distinctly differs from other consulting books by not just talking about how to be a consultant, but how to run a successful business as a good MCSE consultant. It is apparent that the author practices what he preaches and freely shares his knowledge and experience with the reader. Partitioned into "Finder, Minder and Grinder" routines this book includes a broad range of topics and touches all angles of the biz, which give food for thought in every possible direction. If you are a MCSE consultant or just thinking about striking out on your own, this book is a great reference, easy and engaging to read, full of useful information and thought provokers. My favorites are Brelsford's Rules of Ten, considerations of different market niches, a very well written sample proposal and tons of links to helpful websites. If you want to add value to your MCSE consulting, have a note pad ready while reading this book.

Excellent book for anyone pursuing an MCSE certification!
I found this book to be very enlightening in regards to Windows 2000 Directory Services planning and implementation. As an experienced Windows NT 4 administrator, this book may also prove useful for any Network Admin looking to upgrade their system(s) to Microsoft's latest NOS. The only qualm I had, was the fact that this book could have been somewhat more detailed regarding some of the explanations for RIS, DNS, and implementation of group policies. All in all a great book to add to your repertoire.

Excellent book for NT admins moving toward Win2000
The book is designated to help a reader to prepare for a MCSE test. It is also very useful for an NT administrator moving toward Win2000. The truth is that if there is no Active Directory on a Win 2000 server there is no way to administer Win2000 domain. This very clever book explains the best practices available to administer Win 2000 Server and network. Highly recommended!

Although the book is now six years old, it is still a great source of information if you are involved with or entering the 900 industry. There is valuable information for both the newcomer and the veteran.

In a league by itself!
Not a hype-filled book that guarantees riches in the booming 900 industry. Just a lot of facts from somebody in the trenches of the industry who knows how to make it happen for you

Highly recommended for students of Archeology & Peru
Much is known and published about the Incas of Peru, but, in comparison, little is known about the great Kingdom of the Moches. In the Northwest aired coastal plains of Peru flourished the Moche kingdom between the first and eighth century A.D.

This highly stratified culture, constructed and maintained a vast irrigation canal system, pyramids, places and temples. The Royal Tombs of Sipan was written to serve as a museum catalogue of the finds. The discovery, excavation, and current

interpretation of the three royal tombs recovered from Sipan happened between 1987 and 1990.

This book is wonderful. The beautiful color plates that chronologically lay out this amazing discovery makes the archeological dig at Sipan come alive. Highly recommended for those students of Archeology and those who are interested in the diverse Peruvian Culture.

Wonderful book with many beautiful photos and reconstructs.
As an ancient history enthusiast, I found this book to be a fabulous discovery on my part. The oversized format and pull-out recreations are pure joys to the reader. The excellent text, penned by the excavating archaeologist and by the leading authority on Moche iconography, is illustrated with wonderfully detailed photos as well as line drawings of scenes imprinted upon the artifacts themselves. I recommend this volume to anyone interested in pre-Inca history and art, as well as to anyone fascinated by the mystery revolving around the discovery of ancient treasures.
