I absolutely loved this book! I was at school when I saw this book in our school library. I thought it was great looking, since on the cover was my name! I decided I was going too get that book. So my Mommy helped me search for Princess Lily and I finally found it at this great sight, Amazon.com. So we ordered it and I read it over and over. I loved this book because it taught me many things. I learned about sharing and friends. It took me a long time to read this book because I kept on flipping to and back through the pages reading and re-reading the book. I found new things every time.

Ok I am biased. I was first introduced to Ms Pond in the late 80's by Dr Michael Krasny who is on KQED-FM in San Francisco. I quickly went out and bought her magazine YELLOW SILK and was hooked. If the writing in her magazine and now this AWESOME book does not grab you then you are emotinally and sensually dead. The paintings in her magazine hooked me from day one.

Lily has a gift for attracting the best writers. Where Hustler is in your face (no I am not anti-adult material) Seven Hundred Kisses; A Yellow Silk Book of Erotic Writing. seduces your mind body and soul. Lily knows that the brain is the major sex organ and doesn't insult her readers. Maybe being a woman (no I am NOT a male basher) she also realizes that the reader needs great visualization of the brain as well. It takes a gifted writer to tease ones sensual senses.

The book is a wonderful gift to read in bed either alone or aloud to ones lover. Call it literary foreplay.

Lily Pond really set the stage for the blooming market of solid literary erotica in America. The Yellow Silk anthologies are stunningly original and years before their time. I love the opening story of Seven Hundred Kisses--a man takes care of a woman's varied and complicated farm menagerie while she's away on a business trip. It's not graphic (though many stories and poems in this anthology are) but it exemplifies how love makes us grow and change in ways we never expected. These stories and poems are quirky, hot, and well-written. Pond has a keen sense of the adventurous and the genuine and this book is well worth the price of admission.

I think this book deserved 5 stars because it is fun to read. I think kids enjoy this book because it isnt serious but it is fun. I thinks kids prefer to read fun books rather than serious ones.

My three year old son first encountered this book at his pediatrician's office. The easiest way to get him to his doctor appointments is to promise to read him the "lunch book". The shapes and verses are cute and he especially loves the "bites" that have been taken out of the book.

I have read the first two lily books and I love them. And I really want to read the other books in the series because the first two books left me hanging and I have so many questions I'm dying to have anwsered.

But, just because nobody can find the last two books doesn't mean you shouldn't read these. Because they really are wonderful. And anyone who's ever read Mandie will LOVE them!

If you've ever read any of the Mandie books, you know how wonderfuly Mrs.Leppard writes. This is no expection! When I couldn't find any current Mandie books I started looking for any other books by Mrs.Leppard and I found these! When Mandie goes to Europe, on the boat, she meets a young girl named Lily Masterson and her sister Violet. This book series is about them.They are suddenly called home but when they get there tragedy had already struck! It's a wonderful series, but I've only been able to find book 1 and 2. Mrs.Leppard if you read this, please don't stop writing the Lily books, you've kept us hanging! I've grown up with Mandie and love her but I fell just as deeply in love with Lily! PLEASE don't stop writing Mandie, and PLEASE continue with Lily. They are both wonderful book series!~ Svannah Marlow

This book was given to me by a friend with the promise that it was "saucy." There are writings in here that made me blush and others that made me sigh and others that made me almost cry. All of them were indeed saucy. It was like giving myself a mental message. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to bring some sensuality into their daily lives.

I especially enjoyed the poetry and many of the stories. This is real quality literature that evokes great feelings. This is a must for anyone that enjoys erotic literature

I thouroughly enjoyed this book. The characters are three dimensional and the book is emotianally powerful. I whole-heartedly recommend it!

This novel was such a change of pace from the usual romance novel and I loved it. Reading the synopsis, I didn't think it would be too good but it was great. Her writing was so sensual and beautiful, matching the actual climate of the Amazon, and it was one of those love-hate novels that just pulls at your heart-strings. Every time I go to the library I look it up and I am a pretty fussy romance reader. So if you want a beautiful read and like authors like Judith McNaught, Jude Deveraux and Elizabeth Lowell [who I just love], give this one a try and you'll be surprised at how it pulls you in.

This is the story of an Amish girl who left her community to marry an "outsider" and how it changed her life. It is inspiring how she deals with life's hardships. Sometimes families don't communicate well, but remain steadfast and lovingly care for each other. It also shows how you can accept what life brings you and turn the bad into good. At every turn there was something new to keep you from putting the book down. We kept passing the book around where I work and everyone is waiting for the sequel to be published. This very talented author should be promoted more widely, as well as her awesome books.
