A Good Book
I have been a fan if the Berenstain Bears for as long as i can remember. I remember i started reading the books when I was in elementary school and I am 21 years old. I have found all the the books to be both educational and humorus. I still to this day collect the "first time reader" series and have a few books from other series as well. I hope that one day I will be able to share these books that I have loved as a child with my own childern. This book here "Blooper", just goes to show that the bears cubs stories should never end. I enjoyed these books as a child and I do hope that these books will continue to be written so to watch the bear cubs grow and experience more of the world and how they deal with the problems that they are faced.

Berenstains tackle an all to common problem
Some people say that Stan and Jan Berenstain -- after writing nearly 300 books over the past 30 years -- are out of ideas. But "The Berenstain Bears and the Big Blooper" show us that there are still plenty of stories to be told by the lovable family that lives in a treehouse deep in Bear Country. It seems that strong language has crept into every aspect of life, and has become very prevalent in television and movies, many now viewed by young children. The story helps families to talk about the use of "bad" words, and adds an important message that parents (and all adults for that matter) should take to heart: adults shouldn't be using these words either (especially around kids). Stan and Jan hit home with this book, and I look forward to more titles, especially in their series of First Time Books, which continue to help families to deal with the first time experiences and important lessons of childhood.

In-Crowed
When a new hip cub moves into town everyone is amazed by her. They start dressing like her, acting like her etc etc. Sister is the only one who is not in the "in-crowed" what is she to do?

This book teachs kids that you don't need to dress a certain way or act a certain way just to be liked.

A Wonderful Book
This is such a great book. It shows little kids that no matter what there is always good in people. Even if they don't show it right away.

Who's got the bone?
I recently introduced my 5-year old nephew to the Berenstain Bears, who are among my favorite characters in children's literature. In "The Berenstain Bears and the Missing Dinosaur Bone," three young bears and their dog search for the missing museum article of the book's title.

Authors Stan and Jan Berenstain tell the story in fun, easy-to-read rhymes, such as this one: "A dinosaur bone is missing in there! 'Somebody took it!' said Dr. Bear." The rhymes are accompanied by whimsical illustrations that depict such sights as a totem pole, a mummy case, and the "Hall of Famous Bears." Parents and other adults should appreciate the gentle satiric touches. Another fine entry in a great series.

A great book to start your kids on the adventure trail !!
My son, who is 4 years old, loves this book from the first day the book arrived. Every night, we would read this book together and relive the adventure of the bear detectives as they look for the missing dinosaur bone. The other interesting area in this story is that the bears have only an hour to locate the bone in time for the museum opening. The ending is unexpected but funny. Recommended reading for all parents with kids who are beginning to read.

New Cub In town
When Brother and sister hear that there is a new cub in town. They are all hoping thatit will be someone who is good at basketball so that they can beat the pants off of too-tall. When they find out that the new cub is in a wheel chair. They feel so strange around him. Worst of all the new cub is so touchy about his wheelchair.

Will the cubs be able to make friends with the impossible cub?

It is a very good book that teachs kids that all cubs are the same and that it doesn't matter if you can walk or not.

A good level of understanding for children
Brother and Sister Bear's new friend uses a wheelchair and the cubs have many questions for their mother about it. The concerns and questions they have are well explained and the story moves beautifully towards the conflict where the new cub proves himself. The story is well thought out and is very well geared toward children. The story's conflict and resolution are delightful.

Telling time with the Bears
"The Berenstain Bears Catch the Bus" is another winner in the excellent series of children's books coauthored by Stan and Jan Berenstain. The series is about the Bear family: mom, dad, and the two cubs. In this volume, the two cubs oversleep -- will they miss the school bus?

The book contains enjoyable cartoony illustrations that are bright with soft, pastel colors. I especially love the Bear's whimsical house: a hollow tree with Victorian accents and lavender trim. The story is told in an appealing rhyme with simple vocabulary -- great for beginning readers. Example: "It is almost seven, as you can see. / All is quiet in the Bears' Home Sweet Tree."

An nice educational touch to this book is the fact that the Bears' story is accompanied by both traditional clockfaces and digital time displays throughout, thus helping young readers learn how to tell time in both formats. I bought the book for my five year old nephew, and he loved it. Highly recommended.

No more "I want to sleep".
This is a really useful book to get my four-year old out of bed every morning. A nice feature is that every page shows a dial and a digital clock, making it easy for the child to learn to tell time. The book also teaches my son that he might be late for school if he does not wake up on time. So now every morning I will read the book to him, and he will wake up smiling instead of whining "I want to sleep"!

Excellent to jump start a discussion with your child.
My daughter, who is almost 5, loves everyone of these books about the Berenstain Bear family. This one is no exception. I love the way the authors make it so effortless to teach life's lesson while sharing books. I highly recommend them to any parent, whether a first time parent or an experienced one.

The most fun brother and sister around
I can't admit to having read this particular book, but if it's anything like all the many other Berenstain Bears books I've read, then this would surely be a favorite, too!

Beautiful and moving
I am lucky to have Professor Morrissey for my Photography class in Rhode Island and his book has really touched me and made me look at my photos in a different way. He truly is one of the most sincere people I have met with amazing talent behind the lens.

The Wall in pictures
There are several books with moving and important photographs of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. This one is a welcome addition as it focuses on the veterans and visitors to the Wall. Mr. Morrissey has obviously spent much time at the Wall and captures the feelings well.

Truck Love
Big Truck and Little Truck lived and worked together on Farley's Farm and Big Truck took care of Little Truck and taught him everything he knew. That is until the day Big Truck's engine wouldn't start. Little Truck cried as he watch Tow Truck pull Big Truck away. He had never been alone. "I'll be back soon," Big Truck assured him. "Just remember the things I taught you." Little Truck was sad and anxious, but he got right to work. He took all the fruits and vegetables to market. He drove alone on the highway and remembered to keep his lights on the road. And when he skidded into a ditch, Little Truck knew how to go easy and rock back and forth to get himself out. After a few days Big Truck came back home and he looked great. His engine purred and he even had a nice new paint job. Little Truck couldn't wait to tell him all the "big truck" things he had done. But there was no time to talk right then. They had lots of work to do on Farley's Farm..... Jan Carr has written a very tender and sensitive story about love and the fear of separation all pre-schoolers experience, from time to time. Her gentle text is complimented by Ivan Bates colorful and expressive artwork and youngsters will be entranced as they watch Little Truck triumph and become more and more sure of himself. This is a wonderful, reassuring story that helps teach self-reliance and the big lesson that separation isn't forever.

Excellent book for the little truck lovers
My son spent hours at the bookstore reading this book over and over again. So we had to get it. Amazing illustrations!
