LOVE THAT ARTWORK!
I PICKED UP "PUSS IN COWBOY BOOTS" QUITE BY ACCIDENT ONE DAY WHILE BROWSING IN THE CHILDREN'S SECTION OF MY LOCAL LIBRARY (LEWISTOWN, PA). I JUST LOVED THAT ARTWORK! HOW DID PHIL HULING GET THOSE REDS SO VIVID? EVERYTIME I DID THAT WITH WATERCOLORS, THE REDS ALWAYS FADED QUICKLY ON ME! ALSO LOVED THE UPDATING OF THE ORIGINAL PUSS IN BOOTS FAIRY TALE. I WAS JUST GLAD THAT THE BUSH FAMILY DIDN'T SHOW UP ANYWHERE IN THE MODERN TALE! (STILL, I WONDERED IF THAT OILMAN DIDN'T HAVE A CONNECTION THERE, SOMEWHERE!) ANYWAY, I LOVED THE STORY, AND EVEN THOUGH I DON'T HAVE ANY CHILDREN, IF I DID, THIS BOOK WOULD BE ON THEIR BOOKSHELF, YOU CAN COUNT ON THAT! A GREAT BOOK, AND ONE I RECOMMEND TO ANY PARENT.

New flare to old story
This book gives the old "Puss N Boots" a hot kick up. The story is modernized just enough to let the kids get a feel for the charactures in the story, while still having fun with the original tale. Beautifully illustrated it will bring enjoyment to all ages

Will make children of all ages whoop & holler !
This clever book will be a favorite in my house for many years to come. The eye catching colorful illustrations are perfect for keeping young children interested. And older children just find it a fun simple read. As a mother of two boys,1st and 3rd graders, I am always looking for fun books that will make them WANT to read. This is a book to get the readers reading!!

Excellent Guide
The concepts are well illustrated with tables and charts. Though I find the case studies a bit outdated, the strategies discussed along with it provides a clear picture on how the industry is structured and different management style. The reading is excellent and not fill with nonsense like other textbooks.

Note to review below
Please note that the review discussed below assumes that you are focussed on the "Positioning school of thought" as propogated by Harvard.

Awesome book
Excellent book. Highly recommended. This book is probably the best introduction and overview about strategic management. It will _quickly_ bring you upto speed about the latest thinking in this area and take you further. It talks about core concepts that do not die with time. References are provided so as to let you delve into details if need be.

If you are just getting into this area or have been working in this area for a while, no matter where you come from, this will be awesome reading. Excellent cases are provided, so you can really apply what you learnt to the cases and do the analysis.

What I really liked about the book was that I could read the book and apply what I've read to my company's strategic management process.

10,000 Things to Praise God for

Better Than Prozac for Depression
I originally bought this book used and then was fortunate enough to purchase 8 or 10 copies to give away. I'm down to my last 2 copies and I'm not feeling very generous until I know if it will be reprinted. This is a good "pick-up-and-read-a-moment" book. A few pages at bedtime will put one's mind in a state that will bring peaceful sleep. It never matters where the book is opened, at least one thing to praise God for on that page will awaken more thoughts of gratitude in the reader's heart. As part of a morning devotion, this book will open the reader's eyes to blessings God is faithful to send even though they go unnoticed.

Disappointed
This book was recommended by Beth Moore so I'm certain the book is awesome. I'm disappointed that it's not available for purchase.

Delightful!
I was all set to buy 4 or 5 copies of this to give to friends. But you tell me it is out of print. Regret!

What Fairy tales are supposed to be!!!
Jan Brett's illustrations are so colorful and richly drawn that you could tell the story without the words if you wanted to. Her illustrations are magical.
This book is a wonderful telling of the fairy tale. The true meaning of the tale comes shining through. The illustrations bring life to the printed words.
You will love this book.

Beautiful illustrations
Jan Brett's books are always richly and beautifully illustrated. There is always a little extra "story" in the illustrations. In this one, you will be watching the animal servants throughout the book. Pay close attention to the tapestries in the background to see who these animals really are. My favorite are the monkeys. This version is very much like the original French fairy fale, and is well told.

Gorgeous!!
I got this book years ago when I worked for the publisher. I've given this book as a gift many times. The illustrations are just breathtaking and whimsical. You will find yourself stopping and searching the pictures in the middle of the story. The story is very nicely done and my kids enjoy it much more than the Dineyized version storybook they have.

Wow!
We are all familiar with the fact that dinosaurs roamed the Earth millions of years ago. But, they weren't alone. Other creatures, now extinct, lived and roamed the Earth along with them and Howard Zimmerman has devoted his new and terrific book, Beyond The Dinosaurs, to exploring these fantastic prehistoric beasts. He has divided this book into three categories, Sky Dragons (pterosaurs), Sea Monsters (marine reptiles) and Mega-Mammals, and filled each page with a wealth of fun facts and historical information. His text, written in an easy to read, conversational style details when and where each animal lived, its size, how it looked, what it ate, and much more and includes marvelous, action-packed paintings by some of the world's best illustrators of prehistoric animals. Youngsters will be mesmerized as they pore over all the wonderful detail in each picture. From the Quetzalcoatlus, the largest pterosaur with a wingspan of 40 feet, to the Kronosaurus, a 45 foot sea monster, to the Wooly Rhinoceros and Smilodon (Saber-toothed cat), this is a fascinating book that children 9-12 won't be able to put down. Beyond The Dinosaurs includes an instructive introduction, to set the stage, an index, and a list of special web sites kids can visit for even more information about their favorite creatures. This is definitely a book older dinosaur enthusiasts shouldn't miss.

Fantastic sequel to the last years hit!
This art book is almost like a sequel to the last years hit "Dinosaurs! The Biggest,Baddest,Strangest & Fastest!"which I also own. When I saw that one I loved it. Both books are of huge format with excellent art work by some of the world`s top paleoartists. Because the first one was so good,I tried the sequel without doubt of ordering it. And I found it as good as I was hoping for. The first chapter treats pterosaurs, among them the gigantic Quetzalcoatlus, the humorous-looking Batrachognathus and Pteranodon. The second chapter is the funniest and it treats some of my favourite prehistoric animals, like Elasmosaurus with it`s 25-foot neck, the fierce monitor Tylosaurus and the enormous Kronosaurus, the sea king of the mesozoic! The third chapter has beautifull pictures of mammals as the saber-toothed tiger, wooly mammoths,strange-looking rhinoceroses (Brontotherium)and the most frightening bird ever existed, the 10-foot tall Diatryma that looks like a cross between an eagle and a T-rex!

Over all, this one is as good as the first book and a very good complement. I thought there was something missing in the first. And that was the other prehistoric animals. Together, these books are my most famous inspiration source for my story "The Island Forgotten by Time"with all of the famous action motifs of the pictures as well as just beauty. If you own the first, try this. If you don't own them, buy them both! These books are actually children`s books but for a dinosaur fan,it doesn`t matter. For children, buy it for the text. For paleontologists, some of the illustrations are invaluable! So I bought it for the images, not for the text,as I am a seriously interested dinosaur maniac too!

A beautifully illustrated book
"Beyond the Dinosaurs!", by Howard Zimmerman, is an excellent book for children who are fascinated by dinosaurs and other long-extinct creatures. As the title indicates, this book focuses on the other animals that inhabited the world of the dinosaurs. The book is divided into three sections. The first is devoted to pterosaurs (flying reptiles), the second to marine reptiles, and the third to a variety of other creatures (mammals, flightless birds, and mammal-like reptiles).

The large, full-color illustrations include contributions by a variety of different artists. Many of the paintings are exciting action shots showing these creatures hunting, flying, and engaging in other activities.

Creatures depicted include the Quetzalcoatlus (a pterosaur whose wingspan could reach 40 feet), the large-eyed opthalmosaurus (an aquatic lizard), the dinornis (an ostrich-like giant bird), the procoptodon (a giant kangaroo), the woolly rhinoceros, and other marvelous creatures. This is a book that is both fun and educational.

The Lesson Bike
Papa bear teaches Small bear how to get on a bike. Papa bear tells Small bear how to stop. Papa bear tells Small bear how to turn, but Papa bear can not turn right and he flies and fell down. Papa bear helped Small bear for 6 lessons. I like this book because it shows how to ride on a bike.

That's What Not to do Small Bear
This is a wonderful book. My mom used to read this to my brother nearly 25 years ago, and he loved it. I later got that copy and have always enjoyed it. I'm only 15, but I know a good book when i read one. Whenever I make a mistake, my mom says "and that's what NOT to do small bear", because of Papa Bear's line on most of the pages in this book and other older Berenstain Bear books. Readin this book is "What TO do small bear!"

That Papa Bear's Done It Again!
Oh, that Papa Bear! He just can't help himself! He just has to "help" his son. My son loved this book 30 years ago. Again and again. So wonderful it is still in print. His son will love those rascals just as much, and my son will love reading it-again and again.

The Toothpaste Millionare
I think this book is fun and sensible. It gives you an overall view of the business world. It's on a great level of thinking. It's just a fantastic book! Makes a good math book to read as well!

The Toothpaste Millionaire
The Toothpaste Millionaire by Jean Merrill was one of the best books I ever read. After the first page I knew this was going to be a great book. I liked the character Rufus. He did not care that Kate was white and he was black. He did not like to waste anything. He was very creative, and figured out a really cool way for a kid to make a million dollars. The plot was interesting and exciting, and the ending was unpredictable. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy being creative, or who want to make a lot of money. If this book has a sequel, I am going to read it. I'm also going to check out other books by this author.

The Most Wonderous Book of My Youth
I read this book when I was in 4th grade and I love it still. It is a book that shows that sterotypes are not important. It's a wonderful book for children and I read it to all my babysitting charges. It teachs friendship with no boundries.

Best Beekeeping book I've seen!
I have most of the "standard" beekeeping books in my library, but this book is the best! The most logical and complete book I have seen yet, and very well illustrated. Logically written and yet interesting just to sit down and read. But it also does a great job of covering details of beekeeping and answering both basic and more complex questions of the hobby. Highly recommended!

A wonderful informative book for any level of beekeeper
I found the authors style to be easy to read, the technical terms were explained in detail and multiple approaches to various beekeeping situations discussed. The discussion on bee biology was interesing and the step by step instructions were easy to follow and well written. The section on colony disease management is excellent. Of the two dozen or so books I ahve on beekeeping - this is the one I would most reccomend for the technical information

Excellent Beginner's Book
As a beginning beekeeper, I found this book to very well written and an excellent jumping off point. The way almost all steps and facets of beekeeping are given advantages vs. disadvantages in this book was also extremely helpful and thought provoking.

The Berenstain Bears and the Trouble With Friends
This book is good for the age rage from 3-6 years, who are just making friends at school and in their neighboorhood.
Sister bear has Lizzy move in next door and they become friends, and learn that sometimes friends have fights, but that a friend is good to have despite their differences.
This book teaches kids that even when friends have differences and fights they need to overcome their differences and still be friends.

End of a friendship?
When Sister and Lizzy get into a fight what is Sister to do?

This book teachs kids that all friends have fights and that you sould always try to make-up in the end. It is a great book

The BerenstainBears Trouble with Freinds Review
I gave this book a 5 star review because it teaches children that arguing and fighting is not the way to solve your probleems you have to talk through them. This book also has a lot of pictures that kids would like.
