Bayou Blues
Strangely, this book was awesome. I read a couple of the other Dawson's Creek books before, but I liked this one even better because of the suspense. It was really fun and suspenseful. I've read tons and tons of TV-related Young Adult novels, and this one is far away the best. Most are really, really cheesy, but "Bayou Blues" actually reads like an actual novel written by writers with actual talent. It's definitely a fun read.

beyond the stars
for some reason this story really gets to me. i think it was the words ms. cartland used to describe the characters in this story. it just seem to logged in brain still. you have to read it to get the impact and emotions of it. these are one of the few cartland book i think that ended perfectly well.

Good buddies
Dinah has never been very popular. In fact, she really has only one friend who is kind of a nerd. For the next two weeks, she plans to live a different life while away at camp. Unfortunately, before she can even board the bus, she becomes responsible for Fern, a girl whose hygiene practices will prevent her from being popular. Dinah's problem is that she is just too nice. When she meets two girls at camp who she really wants to be friends with it doesn't take long before they all realize that Fern does not fit in with the group. But, how to tell her is the trick. Dinah spends a lot of time dealing with this issue.

This was a great book that shows how to deal with friendships and going away to camp. It is appropriate for fourth and fifth graders and will probably be more interesting to girls.

Why 4 stars?:
"Buddies" shows friendships in different lights and attempts to highlight the importance of different people in our lives. It is age appropriate for fourth graders and above. I only took a star off because the ending was somewhat incomplete. The story did not tie up all of the loose ends quite as well as I would have expected. Perhaps, Mrs. Park was expecting this to become as popular as her Junie B. Jones series. In any case, this book is still worth the read and if you can find it, it will make a nice addition to a school or classroom library.

A reliable book for beginners and skilful practitioners too
This is a very good revised edition of Kunz and Kunz's first work. It has a very charming is shape and exceptional editing but its flexible cover should be better.
Kunz and Kunz are among the few researchers about Reflexology in the world,
therefore they have a respectable work. They expose the concept, the theory and the objectives of Reflexology in a correct way. Their high level technique is perfectly presented and demonstrated in details by good illustrations and clear descriptions. As much as possible, not boring.
The book has good charts and summaries about the developing of a session, cues to reading the foot and disorders and its corresponding reflex areas. The foot and hand Reflexology charts, though not in color, are accurate and detailed.
I have been Reflexologyst for twenty years and I really recommend it to beginners and also to skillful practitioners as a complete and trustable reference.

German Hero-Sagas and Folk-Tales (Oxford Myths and Legends)

The rascal is king!
An excellent little book and quick read. The book is broken into two parts. The first part, Hero-Sagas, is, except for the first story, an abridgement of the Nibelungenlied. It tells the story of Siegfried and Kriemhild and their terrible ending. The second part, Folk-Tales, is filled with short stories where the main message seems to be that the cunning and quick witted will always win, especially against the proud. Not exactly the best morality message, but it is fun to see wits in action.

A story woven with warmth, humor & adolescent understanding.
When Kit learned she had to write a paper called "Who I Am" for her English class, it was the last straw to her. She felt as if she hardly had time to think, let alone write. Kit was too busy worrying about her mother's illness, her younger brother's troubles in school, her older brother's girlfriends, and her little sister's need for attention. Yet, it was through these family concerns that Kit found the answer to her question: Who am I, anyway? This is a book about a preteen's teetering between childish blunders and adult insights. A delightful character, Kit is a heroine despite herself. Like many 12-year-olds, she's funny when at her most serious, with wisecracks that come straight from the heart. (Orinally titled: I Am The Universe.)

Necessary Parties isn't Necessarily the Best Book
Necessary Parties is an okay book if you like books about divorce. It's well written, but if you don't like long books you may find it boring. It's a good book for middle schoolers who are having some family troubles. If you have nothing to read, you might want to try it.

A Great Guessing Book!!
When I started reading this book, I though it was going to turn out boring. But how wrong was I? I was way wrong. As I started to get more and more into the book I realized how good it was. I kept me guessing what was next and made me wanting to keep on reading it. I never knew what was going to happen next and that's what I like in a book. If you like mysteries, or suspense on what will happen next, this is a book just for you.

This book was about some teens going out for an outing on a remote island with their teacher. They were out because they were doing the famous play Macbeth! It was all going good until some bad things happened. People started disappearing left and right. Since the teacher always takes her kids out before a big play, they thought it had to do with getting closer and all becoming friends. But were they wrong? They all disappeared until there was one. That one was the very lead of the play. She was out looking for the rest of the cast when a shadowy figure appeared behind her and the voice beckons: COME...COME...COME TO ME!

You really want to know what happens next don't you? If you really want to know, you will go and buy or check out this book to find out. When I found out when the mystery person was, I was VERY surprised and I bet you will be also. Happy Reading!
