I recommend this book to any recent graduate. I received this as a gift and just love it! I read only one chapter (a few pages) each night before bed and would then have the time until I fell asleep and the whole next day to reflect on the wonderful lesson that was being taught. I am going to definitely pass this book on to friends who will soon be graduating and starting "real life".

I greatly recommend this book for teenagers! It's basicly about a girl named Cara Nelson who has planned a sweet sixteen birthday party. She has alot of things happen all at once to her changing her life!This was very hard book to put down, it's a very suspensful story and keeps you on your toes. In the last three chapters everything comes together without confusion.Greatly recommended for teens!

This book is among the best myhology books I have ever read. It is expanded to the best and most popular of Greek Myths. For example, The Labors of Hercules, The Quest for the Golden Fleece and more.

Choose your own adventure type boods have been a favorite for the imaginative, and now with this series, a new type of cyoa, where there are but one ending, and it is a good one! The story takes you all over the island, you make friends, and enemies. You can visit th same village twice, and have a different outcome when you return, just like real life. People you meet and things you see guide you to the correct path off the island and out of the star system Tenopia (In a later book) The book starts out by finding the island after a long journey in the sea of Tenopia (book 2) before that you were on the main island, in a search to get away, after crashing there. Throughout the entire series, you as the reader help the character get home. Each book makes for great reading for several months, as the story changes each time you read it (just like cyoa) I reccomend this book to every kid or kid at heart who loves a great adventure....

Meg Is offered to go and work on barrier island for the summer. while she is there she meets ken, and a life guard hank. soon she starts geting memeries about her past. Now someone is trying to kill her and her memeries solve the puzzle to her past and reveil both good things and horriable things!

This novel which spans 100 years (ca. 1840 to 1940)was a hard book for this occasional reader to put down! Besides an amazing story, you get the ambiance of each period in history that the characters live through. An excellent read!

I have remembered the title of this book for a decade! When I was substituting about 10 years ago, I read this book to a class. They loved it! It is wonderful to use with 4th grade students studying Missouri, or 5th grade students studying Native Americans. The book is well written, flows well, and brings history alive! I cannot wait to use it with my very own fourth grade class this year!

Having been stationed in Vietnam during the TET Offensive of 1968, and serving as a medic. I found the book very informative. Many of us were not "up to speed" on the views of those discussed in the book. The military, vietnamese civilian, and the American public's views were well stated in the book and will help anyone who is still confused on the issues. Well done.
