Casey Luv's Scary Stories
The Scary Storie Reader was great. Almost all of my classmates checked it out of the library. I was lucky because the library only has 1 copy and I managed to get a hold on it. After I started to read a few stories, I could see why everyone wanted it. It had terrifying stories! I gave this book 5 stars because it really deserves it for its thrilling horror stories and its well written chapters. I recommend you buy this book or at least check it out of the library if you haven't already. It was truly a good book.

Documentary History of the United States
Published in Library Binding by Bt Bound (1999)
Author: Richard Heffner
Amazon base price: $15.85
Used price: $6.75
Collectible price: $4.00
Average review score:

A compelling fragmentary epic
"A Documentary History of the Unites States," edited by
Richard D. Heffner, is an excellent anthology of historic texts. The
first edition of this essential book appeared in 1952, and new and
enlarged editions have gradually appeared over the decades. The texts
in this book include many key documents that have shaped United States
history.

There is an emphasis on political and legal documents: the
Declaration of Independence, several key Supreme Court decisions,
Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, Clinton's 1998 State of the Union
Address, and much more. There are also many texts from
non-governmental individuals and bodies: the first issue of the
anti-slavery periodical "The Liberator," William Faulkner's
1949 Nobel Prize acceptance speech, the 1966 Statement of Purpose of
the National Organization for Women, and much more.

As I said, this
book has "grown" considerably over the decades. A
particularly impressive enlargement marks the 6th edition, which adds
100 pages of new documents. Among these new additions are Booker
T. Washington's Atlanta Exposition Address, the Articles of
Impeachment against Richard M. Nixon, and the 1994 Republican
"Contract with America."

The book as the whole is more than
just a collection of documents. Rather, it feels like fragments from a
great epic story: the story of the United States. In this book you see
this nation and its citizens in all of our weakness and our strength,
our foolishness and our wisdom. We see the struggles to deal as a
nation with slavery, war, women's rights, economic injustice, and
other controversial issues. And we see the development of a United
States "tradition," a heritage of pivotal documents which
sometimes comment on earlier documents.

Yes, I'm sure most readers
could name worthy texts that they feel should have been included in
this book; maybe some of them will appear in future editions. After
all, this excellent anthology is truly a "living book." Not
just for teachers and students, this book should be in the library of
every serious citizen of the United States.

Must reading for every American citizen!
Read the words that shaped the character of our nation and changed the history of the world. From the rousing Declaration of Independence to the inspiring speeches of our modern presidents, this book has it all. Students and scholars alike will find this an excellent reference tool. This book should be in the hands and minds of every American who loves liberty.

Great source of conversion factors.
This is a handy book with literally thousands of conversions. Look up your unit, and convert to metric, or convert from a metric unit to your unit. The units are identified by the country of origin including ancient Greece, Rome, Egypt, China, etc.

"This is a great series and it has a promising future"
- This is one of the better grphic novels that I have ever read I really hope more people could get a chance to read it, the Ragnarok series has definetly been hiding in the shadows lateley but this is a book that deservs more attention.
All of the characters look very realistic on a manga scale. I myself have read many graphic novels in my lifetime and this is in the range of the top five graphic novels.
The storyline is based on a girl named Iris Irine she is the dughter of a powerful man by the name of Lord Irine. Lord Irine's eldest daughter was to be sacrificed 12 years ago but things didnt go as planned. Iris escaped and was adopted to an army. Now in this book Lord Irine's daughter is back "and will feel her vengeance".

This is all I will tell you for right now but you will have to purchase this book to find out the rest.

Ragnarok #2 kicks butt!
The second manwa in the series is just as good if not better than the first. The art style is amazing. Alright enough about how great the manwa is, let me tell you what to expect. Don't worry I'm not going to spoil anything. Well if I do please don't be mad. So the plot thickens in the second volume. You are introduced to shocking new secrets about a couple of the characters. This is also were the real fighting starts. And don't worry if you have a faint stomach the fighting scenes don't get very gory. In Ragnarok 2 you'll also be introduced to Loki and his group of assasins. They are mysterious and not much is revealed about them. They are sure to play some important part in future. So I really can't think of much else to write because I really don't want to ruin anything for anyone. Hope this was helpful. I really recommend this to anyone who enjoys manga or anime.

Schooling of the Western Horse
Published in Textbook Binding by Sydney R Smith (1980)
Author: John Richard Young

Used price: $26.60

A weath of infomation.
I was lucky to find it in an antique store, but what a load of infomation it has provided me. It has given me more training advice and tips that I can use on western horses through to hunters. Starting from the foal to yearlings to finishing, he is practicle informative of training a well manered and obidient horse and is not bias in the breed of horses he uses. I found this a great book for any one who wants to lern more on riding and horsemanship. John Richard Young is a great horseman and knows and respects his horses.

A Timeless Work
I originally read this book almost 20 years ago (1983), along with John Richard Young's Schooling for Young Riders (also a must-read for beginners). The book is full of gentle, caring wisdom about the nature of horses and how best to partner with them. The author includes information about everything the novice horseman needs to know, from equipment to a variety of specific training and communication techniques. I have never encountered a better, more comprehensive text for the beginner who wishes to progess to confident competence. I highly recommend anything ever written by this author. It is a loss to us all that his books are no longer in print; he was ahead of his time 50 years ago, and he's still far more progressive than many contemporary trainers.
