Enter the Coconut! and Other Tales
In the second graphic novel of this increibly kawaii (that means cute in Japanese) manga series, Hazel meets a rival for Almond's love: Coconut! Who will end up with Almond?

One of my favorite stories in this graphic novel is "Panic at the Cherry Blossom Festival." In it, a drunk Dodrio messes up a cherry blossom festival. But Eevee (Coconut's Pokemon) and Hazel's Pokemon can't stop it - because they're also drunk! How will the story end? (Parents, don't worry for a second about the drinking, because it's not nasty or anything.)

Another cute story is the second part of the story where Ash, Misty, and Brock are trapped in Hazel's world. Misty is drawn so cutely! And the story is funny.

So, overall, don't miss this graphic novel. It's smart, it's funny, it's cute, and it's MUCH better than Toshihiro Ono's Pokemon manga (at least in my opinion).

Managing Challenging Children

If You're a parent or a teacher ¿ Read This
I've just finished reading Managing Challenging Children. I'm a teacher and a parent and I think Gerry Gordon has really given me something to think about. He has written a book that is really easy to read, but doesn't get carried away with silly anecdotes - he really sounds like he has "been there and done that". This book looks at the problems associated with raising/educating children. It asks us as parents or teachers not just to focus on the child's behaviour, but to look at the environment we provide and the behaviour examples we bring to the situation. He then gives us strategies to go and try out, and yes, they work. Perhaps the most important message I got from this book is that to create change in behaviour of others we have to work at it. Words aren't enough. We must use our actions, combined with our words to provide the environment where our children can grow to become people we are really proud of. I recommend this as a good read to anyone who deals with children and many of the suggestions are very suitable for our dealings with adults as well.

Excellent compilation.
All 3397 Medal of Honor recipients are listed, from the Civil War to Somalia, with all essential information given: name, both true and assumed, rank, service and unit, dates of birth and death, place of death and cemetary, date and place of action, and more.
Attractively presented in large format, in two volumes, with appendices, bibliography, and index, this is the essential reference for anyone interested in the Medal of Honor or American military history. Illustrations of the medals themselves are not provided, the only fault noted.

Let's make obstetrics a bigger world
I first read from this book, when I need updated information for a case with thrombocytopenia associated with pregnancy. I was amazed by the way how the authors characterized any medical field implied in pregnancy management. Therefore I decided to buy it, and now I'm sure that is a valuable asset for my personal library. Beside the specific aspects of medical complications (like cardiovascular, hematological, endocrinological or infectious diseases) I was able to find also systematized, new information about management of the high risk pregnancy, medical emergencies, substance abuse or clinical genetics. It is a very useful book either for anyone who wants to improve his knowledge with new information about medical aspects of pregnancy but also for obstetricians, even if they've already got the previous editions, because they could raise theirs practice to higher levels.

Valuable Research Tool
I am a student and writer of history. I found this book to be a valuable resource for understanding commerce in the era of the Tudors and the Stuarts--the period of American colonization. This book explains not only the laws of Britain but those of its many trading partners. It includes chapters on currency, alchemy, assaying, bee keeping, calendar differences, double entry book keeping, fishing fleets, navigation and ship building. I especially enjoyed the Topical Summary and Glossary of terms used in the seventeenth century.

The great Maestro!
This is truly a great addition to the classical guitar world. Everyone from beginner to professional should know the history of the man who established the guitar as a classical instrument, and gave us a vast amount of literature from which to work. It is great to read about his life and view his past programs. This is a must have to a guitarist's library!

This book is poetry. It brings one of the Parables to a new life. The design of the book is a spring board for children and adult's imaginations.
