Profoundly Insightful...
I have read "the course" now twice with each time bringing me new and life changing instights. As a Sun Dancer, I am always looking for Spirit to manifest continually in my life. This book has greatly increased my self awareness and assisted in bringing movement to still-stubborn areas in my life.

It truly is time to "Get on with it!" Let this book help you.

Teachings which focus on love and inner wisdom
Mari Perron and Dan Odegard's A Course Of Love makes the complete course available to a wider audience, providing teachings which focus on love and inner wisdom. Spiritual concerns blend with issues of relationships and love.

My Calling
The coming of the Course is the call I have been waiting for much of my life. When invited to join Mari, Dan and Wilma in this adventure, the invitation was clear and profound; yet I had questions, deep ones, about the authenticity of this work in a world filled with conflicting prophetic messages.
Those questions have been answered. I have been touched deeply and called to action.
The Course will call each of you in unique ways as it has called me. My call has been made clear, although the expressions are ongoing acts of creation.
The time of yearning is over. We are the ones we wished and hoped to be.
Read the Course and be held in its embrace.

A Rokit-Signrests Cowboy Review
Hoss reminds me of the crazy cowboys I dealt with in the mid-60s working out of White Deer, Texas. I strapped Old Billy B. on many snot slinging cowboy killing mad North Texas bulls. Dan Burton is a world-class story teller of the first order. The pranks and antics that he tells about brought long ago not forgotten memories. I really think both books I & II are first class. I have recommended them to all of my remaining friends. Thank You Dan Burton, you have given me lots of laughs and pleasure.

Knee Slappin Good
I didn't think he could top "A Cowboy Never Lies" but I was wrong. And I didn't think it would get in the way of my yard work, but it did. My wife couldn't wait for me to put it down. But then I found out why. She picked it up. Good work cowboy. How about volume III now.

" Is this guy for real?"
Just when I thought I'd heard about everything, this man is one of kind. I not only have read his incredible adventures, but met the man for real. He is all he says and more. Don't pass a chance to read his books, and if he crosses your path, you will walk away laughing and wanting to hear more.

Best Book On Windows 98
This is the best book, by far, on win 98. Dan Gookin is to computers what John Madden is to Monday Night Football (simply the best). This is the 2nd book I have purchased by him and I will continue to look for him name associated with any new computer books I intend to buy in the future. He adds his overwhelming knowledge of computers and his sense of humor to teach you, step-by-step, the win 98 program. The instructions are direct and to the point, not a lot of senseless reading to get to the punchline. If you are new to computers or have been at it for awhile, this is a must have book regardless of your level of expertise. Get this book today, and you will be glad you did. I am.

Have Never Turned A PC ON
I had never turned on a pc before I bought this book Windows 98. I had always been afraid of the pc until I bought windows 98 by Dan Gookin. The book took me step by step until I was finally doing something on our pc. It was from his simple ways of geeting you to understand and put into action what you had read that gave you energy to read the next page to learn little by little. Two months later and I found myself very comfortable with working in windows and doing something I never thought I would be able to do as I am not a youngster but am 52 years old and will to learn more about our pc.

GREAT BOOK! HAS ALL THE ANSWERS!
Dan Gookin teaches in a non-threatening manner, and keeps up good humor in the meantime. It makes the learning process FUN, as well as simple. I especially like the way he throws in personal comments, as it saves me trial and error to learn the same outcome. This is definately an asset not found with other computer-book authors. It is evident that he uses computers, not just teaches them. Great book, easy to read, easy to use, and well worth the minimal investment.

Easy to follow strategy guide
Dan Birlew (better known to survival horror fans on the web as "President Evil") penned this easy-to-follow strategy guide.

I'm one of those players who doesn't have great reflexes and normally gets sliced to ribbons playing a game like this. But thanks to Birlew's guide, I was able to survive some of the toughest bosses, bad reflexes and all. The book points out the bosses's strengths and weaknesses, how to attack them and how to avoid them, as every good game guide should.

Oh, yeah, I did find one mistake in Birlew's guide: he states that you can't purchase untouchables (items that temporarily make you invincible). In fact, untouchables can be purchased at any time, though it'll cost you. Perhaps this was a change in the game that was implemented after Birlew's guide went to press.

...
Even I have to admit that Dan Birlew is getting much better. After that FFIX guide I thought this guy would be bad. Anyways, to start off. I've been a HUGE collector of video game guides (I may be 15 and have high expectations for a guide such as they do need to help me a give me a gaming experience in the process) and I know a good guide when I see it.

This guide is defenitely good. Anyways, I read the other reviews, and Dan Birlew didn't do the Xenogears guide nor did David Cassady, it was Ronald Wartow, its right there on the fron cover. The maps are easy to read while I do admit they get tiresome every guide does. I know the maps aren't done by Dan Birlew but still they could use a little work. I look more at the detail in the walkthrough rather than how flashy the maps and screenshots are.

The walkthrough helps you out a lot and doesn't give off any spoilers at all and gets right to the point. I like this guide because the walkthrough is put together organized and doesn't look like it was rushed to get out. Its 160 pages and the guide has extremely good detail to it. Unlike the Prima (only 90 pages) and VERSUS BOOKS (112 pages) this guide has a ton of info.

I'd recomend this guide for anybody who likes strategy guides as much as I do.

Thorough and Concise
Addressing the previous reviewer: Dan Birlew didn't even write the Xenogears guide, someone else named David Cassidy did. And why would you compare Mr. Birlew to Casey Lowe who writes guides for Pokemon? That's comparing apples to apples seeds. As for the maps, they were obviously not done by the author, just read the credits. Now for a more mature and observant review: This particular Devil May Cry guide is concise and thorough. It's written for an audience that is intelligent and sharp, a compliment to all gamers. The writing style does not talk down to the reader, as some guides tend to do. The slick design and stylized cover are done in such a way that it attracts gamers like me--adults with jobs and money to spend on toys. Overall, this guide is perfect for those gamers who do not fall into the "living in my parent's basement" stereotype. Kudos to BradyGames for targeting mature gamers with jobs!

Hilarious. These guys are crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!
A book that every cat lover and hater alike should read. I hate cats but found the book very amusing. Can't wait until the dog manual is for sale, it will be better I am sure, as everything with dogs is.

An incredibly funny book
One of the funniest treatments of cat care I have read. A must have for all cat lovers and haters. Makes a great gift for that obnoxious cat owner who lets their little darling use your leg for a scratching post.

very witty with many facts about cats
This book gives you a comical approach to caring for a cat. If you are a cat lover you will see the humor. If you are not you will see the humor. The authors have a good insight to what cats are all about. This is an excellent resource manual on how a cat owner is to operate a cat.

Halloween Board Book Not To Miss!
Dan Yaccarino captures the essence of Halloween with simple, yet expressive pictures of pumpkins, ghosts and a black cat. My one year old son Ryan loves it when i read the story of the Five Little Pumpkins. He points to all the different pumpkin faces and loves their orange glow. The book wipes clean and withstands being dragged all over the house! I am a big fan of Dan Yaccarino's work, love his cartoon Oswald, so this book is a big Halloween fun delight!

A Festive Halloween Board Book
This board book with wipe-clean covers and pages is a delightful Halloween romp featuring the five famous little pumpkins of the familiar gradeschool song. Bright double page illustrations showing the five different jack-o-lanterns tell the tale of Halloween night that begins with the pumpkins "sitting on a gate" and finishes up with them "rolling out of sight." Simple but fun-filled witches on broomsticks, a black cat, and whispy smiling ghosts join in the fun. This book is rated for the ages of 1 1/2 and up and is basic and short enough to hold the attention of a very little one but can be used to learn reciting or singing. It is a nice touch for Halloween because there is no scariness in it and lots of smiling, bright colored action to follow. Sure to be a family favorite.

Great Halloween Book!
I love this book. It is fun to say with the finger activity and sounds. My son loves it!

The Devil & Dan Cooley

Fun, clever, and entertaining
Although not as good as "Sympathy for the Devil," Lisle's first book in this series, this second rendering of the presence of thousands of Hell's Damned Souls in North Carolina is still great fun (lover's of small dogs beware, though). The authors have already found a lot to poke fun at in these books, and, with the number of possibilities for other targets for their sharp wits, this promises to be a long and enjoyable series.

I thought it was wonderful :)
A must read!!!!

Great fantay book like the Myth (Robert Aspin) series
The Devil books are very entertaining. They are light, east to read and very humorus. Prudish people may be slightly offended, but it is really all in good fun. If you like the Myth series by Robert Aspin then you will like these and vice versa

OH Yeah
This book is a must have for anyone fishing in oregon, it tells you about EVERY water thats fishable in oregon. I would give it a 4 for fly fishers because it does not give too much info about fly fishing diffrent waters.

MUST HAVE.
If you fish or plan to fish in Oregon, you need this book. It has all the information that you could possibly need to get to, and successfully fish almost any public and many private bodies of water.

I would also recommend that you carry a copy of the State fishing regs. Some of the things the author says about open season and where you can fish on some river systems has changed.

All in all, this is the second best investment I have made in my fishing hobby. (The first being my license.)

Still the Best!
My old edition on Fishing in Oregon was long since falling apart and I was waiting on pins and needles for the new version. I was not dissappointed!

Fishing in Oregon Ninth Edition is even more comprehensive than it's predesessors. The maps are awesome, and the directions are clear and easy to follow.

If you love to fish, this book is THE invaluable resource for all of Oregon!
