I used this book to teach ENL English in Greece in its first edition for the old FCE and since it was published in its second edition in 1997 for the new version of the test. I have found that the book presents the material required for a good pass on the UCLES FCE broadly enough without burdening the student with too academic a description of the Grammar. Its grammar exercises, supplemented by the exercises in the workbook, are brilliant in their review of English grammar and in the way they prepare the student for the exam. Also, it's writing course, which I consider the best of all from all the course books I have used, is not only accurate, but teaches text formating not only brilliantly for the exam, but also for use in everyday situations unrelated to the exam. The only flaw I saw was in the companion: its reading texts were too difficult. However, its collocation exercises cannot be found elsewhere.

Great Referance Book. Lots of photos and drawings. Will certainly aide in identification of your artifacts and relics! No self respecting archeologist should be without this book!!!

Everyone will find favorites in this collection, whether they are about kids and baseball or overpaid, over-egoed pros. One favorite part for me is the running motif of umpire jokes. The New Yorker's cartoonists are simply the best. I loved The New Yorker Book of Golf Cartoons, but this is even better.

This is a necessary tool to every person, not only to lawyers, interested to know how the "personal data protection" works in the European Union. You will be surprised with the similarities between the privacy regimes in Europe and the United States, notwithstanding this systems differ in important particulars. The book includes the study of the ways in which restrictive data protection law may clash with free trade agreements signed by the US and the members of the EU, as the World Trade Organization. The book is highly recommended.

There are several comprehensive nuclear medicine textbooks and I have used them all from time to time. This is without a doubt the most clinically relevant, and contains excellent radiopharmacy and basic science information as well.

Open City consistently publishes great stories, poems, essays, and artwork. I look forward to each issue, because each one is so different, and because this magazine continues to be vital and relevant, esp. because many literary magazines are so staid and dull....

This book should set the standard for pathology color atlases and texts. The figures are excellent and the text provides a large amount of information and numerous references. Anyone working with mice in medical research should have this book.

Liebert and Liebert's Personality is superb. Using four major strategies (Psychoanalytic, Dispositional, Environmental, Representational), the authors delve into each major theory as if they themselves had been its formulator. Then, they turn around and fervently critique the same theory they had lauded only a few pages earlier, all the while relating connections among seemingly fundamentally distinct theories. The effect is sensational. As someone who has very little background in Psychology and who is boning up on the subject in order to pursue a graduate career in the field, I thank The Liebert's for their hard work and diligent research. I look forward to the next edition.
