This is a well written resource book designed for teachers who might be "shy" about teaching simple machines. EVERYTHING you need to teach a great unit is provided: reproducables for learning centers, material lists, and a variety of assessment tools. I especially liked the section on building pulleys, spring scales, etc. Even teachers with a solid working knowledge of simple machines could benefit from this book.

If you haven't read any of Nortons work and love si-fi/fantasy you will never be disappionted here! The story of Kaththea is a great read. And worth the effort to find!

An incredibly in-depth study of religious phenomena particular to US latinos. I am proud to have studied under author Andres Perez y Mena. To anyone interested in religions of the world, this is a must read.

It is a wonderful story with the idea of cats as aliens come back to earth to collect their cousins. (earthling cats) It is a wonderful story where a boy and girl hear them thought-speak to their cousins to come home and learn too much. It is a MUST READ.

This is a good book which helps to "flesh out" the period of time of the turning of WW. A must for every WW fan, it is a great read and wonderful addition to your library. I have read my copy of the turning trilogy several times.

The story is told by the son of the man who first tamed, and then released, Andre the harbor seal. Fantastic for children because it is told from the perspective of a boy who grew up with this seal, but also very informative and interesting to adults as he is very specific about the difficulties they encountered. While it is a funny and heartwarming story, it also points out the inherent problems faced by wild animals when they are raised by humans. Many fascinating discussions can come from this reading!

It's a shame this book is out of print. Perhaps it is because of the lack of general interest in Pre-Columbian art. If you are interested in the subject this book is very good.

This is a wonderful book that will stimulate your creative juices. I'm the author of "Thinkertoys," and "Cracking Creativity" and read most of what hits the market. This book is a must "buy" for anyone who is seeking to become more creative in their business or personal lives. Bravo to the authors for a job well done!

I found this Witch world novel at a garage sale and got it. I had read the Turning 1 & 2 so I thought "Why not?" It turned out to be the best nickel I ever spent. It realy filled out the characters, the Tregarth triplets. As always I found Ms. Norton's writing wonderful and expressive.
